are perishing, but to us who
are being saved it is the

strengthen you with power through his Spirit
in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell

love, may have power, together with all the

deep

Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind
me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me;
you do not have in mind the concerns of God,
but merely human concerns.”

The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed,

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such
a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off
everything that hinders and the sin that so easily

set before him he endured the cross, scorning
its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the
throne of God. Consider him who endured such
opposition from sinners, so that you will not
grow weary and lose heart.

Life is full of the sort of joys
and sorrows that don’t resolve neatly
in a major key.
God knows that.
The Bible knows that.
