Importance of Sustaining Connection with GodJOHNY NATAD
What is the status of our connection to God? Does your wireless gadgets enable you to connect with God? It is very important to know the essentials of connecting to our great God. Find it here in this presentation the three essentials of sustaining our connection with God.
“Being used by God
is not confined to pastors, preachers or teachers. Anybody can be an instrument
in God's hands.”
God can use anybody, believer or nonbeliever.
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
This sermon will focus on two key Pauline texts. In 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Paul gives us some general instructions in demolishing strongholds by using God's means. In Ephesians 2 he identifies 3 strongholds by name, the world, the flesh and the devil.
God’s goal is not merely that you escape corruption, but that you share in His nature. God has provided everything we need, but that does not erase our need for diligence.

The church we see has hundreds of families growing to become mature followers of Jesus Christ. We are a church that loves God, loves others, connects people with God and grows people.
Learning to love and accept others starts with understanding that God love us and accepts us as we are. When we truly understand this we can be free to be ourselves. When we blow it we say sorry, repent and receive God's forgiveness. When we live this way it is easy to understand that other people are not perfect either.
Overcoming worry by trusting in the character of GodLionel Rattenbury
Trusting in God and becoming dependant upon him is one of the important keys to living in God's perfect peace. Pastor Lionel Rattenbury shares about how we can trust in the character of God.
Agape love (verb) or Agapo love (noun) is the love that God has for his son, the love that Jesus has for us and the love that he wants us to have for others. God's love is unconditional, sacrificial and essential to Christians.

Mercy - Jesus taught his disciples how they are to live as Christians. He said that if they wanted to follow him they are to exercise mercy rather than revenge. They were to exercise grace, humility, mercy, forgiveness and generosity.
What Jesus said about divorce. He actually taught about God's perfect plan for man and woman. They would live together as one. But how do we live out God's perfect plan in an imperfect world with imperfect people
Mans way of dealing with issues of anger is to deal with the outward actions, Anger management looks at strategies to deal with anger when it arises, Jesus deals with the heart.
Jesus told his disciples that they were the salt of the earth & the light of the world. He would tell Christians today that the same message. Christians must let God's life, light and love shine out of them.

Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. Mindfulness can help us better understand others and improve communication, leading to healthier relationships.
By focusing on the present moment and being fully attentive, mindfulness helps build stronger and more authentic connections with others.
Mindfulness teaches us how to be present for others in difficult times, leading to increased compassion and understanding.
Slide 6: Mindfulness Techniques and Practices
Focusing on the breath and mindful breathing can be a simple way to enter a state of mindfulness.
Body scan meditation involves focusing on different parts of the body, paying attention to any sensations and feelings.
Practicing mindful walking and eating involves consciously focusing on each step or bite, with full attention to sensory experiences.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.

3. By his divine power, God has given us
everything we need for living a godly life.
We have received all of this by coming to
know him, the one who called us to himself
by means of his marvelous glory and
excellence. And because of his glory and
excellence, he has given us great and
precious promises. These are the promises
that enable you to share his divine nature
and escape the world’s corruption
caused by human desires.
2 Peter 1:3-11
4. In view of all this, make every effort to
respond to God’s promises. Supplement
your faith with a generous provision of
moral excellence, and moral excellence with
knowledge, and knowledge with selfcontrol, and self-control with patient
endurance, and patient endurance with
godliness, and godliness with brotherly
affection, and brotherly affection with love
for everyone.
2 Peter 1:3-11
5. The more you grow like this, the more
productive and useful you will be in your
knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But
those who fail to develop in this way are
short sighted or blind, forgetting that they
have been cleansed from their old sins.
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to
prove that you really are among those God
has called and chosen. Do these things, and
you will never fall away. Then God will
give you a grand entrance into the
eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ.

This is the covenant I will establish...
I will put my laws in their minds

I will be their God,

No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,

We need to add to faith to grow

generous provision of moral excellence,
knowledge, self-control, patient

affection, and love for everyone.
2 Peter 1:5-7
14. We need to add to our faith to grow
We are saved so that we can grow to
resemble Christ and so that we can serve
others. God wants to produce his character in
us. But to do this, he demands our discipline
and effort. As we obey Christ we will develop
self-control. Our faith must go beyond what
we believe; it must become a dynamic part of
all we do, resulting in good fruit and spiritual
maturity. Salvation does not depend on good
deeds, but it results in good deeds. A person
who claims to be saved while
remaining unchanged does not understand
faith or what God has done for him or her.
