This document discusses the core values and goals of an organic Christian community called THiNK. The three key values are living life together in community, seeing people come to know Jesus and experience transformation, and experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit. The goals for 2009 were to establish the community, focus on prayer and divine connections, and have regular meetings in various environments to attract unreached people. Financial support was needed for an initial move and monthly expenses in the first critical year.

When Christ moves in at our conversion we put to death our old self. By doing away with the sinful person Jesus comes in, moves into your person and takes up residence by the life of faith.

1. What Does It Mean to be a Disciple of Jesus? KeynoteWilliam Anderson
This is the first of four sessions of our "Being and Making Disciples" workshop held in Sacele, Romania on September 1, 2012. In this session we answer the question "What Does It Means to be a Disciple of Jesus?". We did this by first looking at what the word "disciple" means and then looking at what Jesus, Peter and Paul had to say about being a disciple and then we finished by looking at Jesus' life to learn from His example. English with Romanian translation.
It is common to refer to the process of maturing as a disciple as spiritual formation. Here, based upon work by Greg Ogden, I give a four stage process for growing into maturity, and fruitfulness, as a follower of King Jesus.
What are the teachings or instruction of the Lord except a reflection of His character? Study is not about memorizing verses but getting to know the Author.

In this presentation, Bro. Afoke Ben encouraged the brethren to be more committed in the activities of the Church and in being of good examples to their children. Read the presentation for more admonitions.
Fellowship is one of those buzz Christian words. Churches have
fellowship halls, fellowship meetings, and times of fellowship. But what
do we mean?
The Greek word is koinonia, which translates as partnership. The origin
of the word is koinonos, which means partner, sharer, and companion. In
short, it is a shared community that involves deep, close-knit
participation among its people. The picture then is not of a surface-level,
friendly fellowship but of a radical and almost intimate unity. And this is
the consistent teaching of the New Testament. The first occurrence of
koinonia in the Bible comes in Acts 2:42. The newly baptized believers
“devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship
(koinonia), to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Luke comments that
they, “had everything in common” as they sold property to give to
anyone in need, gathered regularly in the temple courts, and ate joyfully
in their homes (Acts 2:43-47). This is far more than formal nominal
Christianity. This is the real deal. And it’s attractive because it’s so real. God has saved us to belong to his new family, and the mark of true
belonging is an active love which sacrificially serves.
Stewardship is about what we do with what we have once we say we believe. It is that part of our lives where we decide if we're really going to Walk the Walk as much as we Talk the Talk!

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? Romans 10:14-15(the Message)
3. The Great Commandment: Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” The Great Commission: Matthew 28: 19-20“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The Great Compassion:Compassion for one another: John 15: 12-13 This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
4. The Fellowship of the Believers Acts 2:42-47(NIV) 42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common.45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
5. Psalm 139: 13-16 (the message) Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day.

10. three key values We value living our lives together. Leaning on each other in the good times and the bad times, realizing the relationships that surround us need constant effort in order to be what we want them to be. We view this value as a journey. It's a value that will become stronger, more vivid and more natural to us as we earnestly pursue it individually and together as a community. We value seeing people, of all types, come to know the living life changing reality of Jesus Christ. Once experienced, it is crucial to be able to live it out, work it out, and grow in an environment of grace, truth and love. We are not perfect, nor will we ever be. We have issues that we are working through and know that the source we lean on is God, and we are learning to trust Him more every day. We value experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We believe it is a vital part of our community to recognize the constant and continual working of the Holy Spirit of God in our lives. He has many attributes - and we recognize them all. We don't believe He is any less active than in the first century Church.
11. f3 – form follows function Form follows function is a principle associated with modern architecture and industrial design in the 20th century. The principle is that the shape of a building or object should be primarily based upon its intended function or purpose. Our intended function is to create an organically organized infrastructure that embodies a community of people living out their Christian spirituality together. Our intended purpose is to reach into our local culture and connect with the unreached, unchurched, dechurched and fringe groups. With our intended function and purpose in mind, the form our meetings take will change from night to night and environment to environment. It’s this organic atmosphere that draws our intended community together.
