Climate conditions suchas temperature, rainfall and humidity plays a role in vector borne
diseases. Variation in climate conditions may increase vector born diseases during favorable
conditions and crash during unfavorable conditions.
Due to change in climate, insects suchas mosquitoes and ticks(Vectors) change there metabolic
activities by showing variaiton in there incubation period and infectivity.
Change in temperatue effect the nature of insects behavior, growth ,development, reproductive
capability, and there is an impact on survival. Increase in temperature increases reproductive
capabilities and increase breeding season
Heavy rainfall increases the chances of breeding in stagnant waters. Storms, floods and
Hurricanes increases transmission of malaria by mosquitoes.
