analytics-based research, build practical
applications and develop new IoT

• machine learning applied to diverse data
for embedded intelligence
• successful operation of IoT at large scale
• fine-resolution weather prediction
• biodiversity monitoring and pollution
assessment for the region
• Supporting secondary and primary
school education by enhancing STEM
and providing an early introduction to
data science.

Low-Power Wide-Area Network: Wireless, Long-range communication between things, Low bit rate, Long battery life LoRaWAN is one type of LPWAN Uses star topology: A gateway relays messages between multiple end-devices and backend server Widely adopted globally, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Netherlands, India The Things Network global community build initiative in 200+ cities worldwide with 2000+ gateways Also deployed by CENSIS in Glasgow, and Digital Catapult in London (50 gateways) But, the key is to provide a multi-modal comms infrastructure for IoT as this enables new unique applications and research.
