Objectives
- To develop desirable teacher-student relationship.

- Help the students develop open communication skills.
- Facilitate group guidance activity through their class adviser.
- Help the homeroom advisers develop their facilitating
skills.
- Acquire techniques in handling homeroom activities
particularly in the area of processing students’ responses and
reactions.

Scope
This procedure applies to the conduct and
monitoring of implementation of the
Homeroom Guidance Activities for Grade 1
to 10.
Responsibility
1. Homeroom Adviser shall discuss with the Guidance
Counselor about any student concerns that may
arise.
2. Prepares Homeroom Activity Report and submit it to
the Guidance Personnel.
What is Homeroom?
1. The homeroom program should be strengthened, facilitated
every Monday and be given enough time.
2. The adviser should give details on the meaning and purpose
of the homeroom program to the students.
3. The Homeroom Period should be a Homeroom Period. It
should not be the time for any activity which is not in lined to
homeroom program.
4. The homeroom advisers must build rapport to his
students.
5. The homeroom adviser should conduct an educational
games so that the students will have a fun way to pass the
time while still learning, but without the worry of being
assessed.
6. The homeroom adviser should take seriously the
importance of having a homeroom period.
