- Cold Remedy: To get rid of runny nose you can try using honey as natural and effective home remedy. Take one tbsp. of honey and mix with 1 tbsp. of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. Add these two ingredients in a glass of warm water and stir everything well. Drink this water twice a day until your nasal passage is cleared.
- Peppermint oil. Rubbed on the forehead, temples or back of the neck, peppermint essential oil has a way of dissolving headaches into nothingness. Two hot water bottles, one on your chest and one on your back, in between your shoulder blades, brings more blood circulation and thus more white blood cells to your lungs. - Avoid Sun Burn: Coconut oil also acts as a natural sunscreen for all skin types and it protects your skin against harmful radiations and sunburn. Just apply coconut oil before stepping out and let it absorb into your skin for 5 minutes.

The tea was used for years in Canada, may still be, as it aids in strengthening the uterus. Now, whereas I do not have a uterus, you must assume that I garnered this info from my wife. :)

According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_pulling Oil pulling or oil swishing is a folk remedy where oil is "swished" (kavala graha) or "held" (snigda gandoosha) in the mouth.[1] [2] Practitioners of oil pulling claim it is capable of improving oral and systemic health, including a benefit in conditions such as headaches, migraines, diabetes mellitus, asthma, andacne, as well as whitening teeth. Its promoters claim it works by "pulling out" toxins, which are known as ama in Ayurvedic medicine, and thereby reducing inflammation.[3][4][5][6] Oil pulling has received little study and there is little evidence to support claims made by the technique's advocates.[7] In one small study, sesame oil was found to be effective at reducing plaque and oral bacterial load, but was less effective than chlorhexidine (an antiseptic mouthwash); the health claims of oil pulling have otherwise failed scientific verification or have not been investigated.[8][9] The National Center for Health Research states that "it's still unclear whether or how the practice actually works to get rid of bad bacteria in our mouths. It's also unknown what the long term effects on oral and overall health may be." [10] How do you do it? Oil pulling is essentially taking some oil (1 tbsp of coconut oil) in your mouth, and then swishing it around for 15-20 min. No gargling. No swallowing. Just move the oil around your mouth (especially “pulling” through the teeth) and let it get to all those places where bacteria can hide out.
