The world around us keeps getting smarter not only do we have
advanced AI services like the google assistant, but now we've got
the internet of things connecting physical objects to the digital
world. it's amazing when you think about it, but the real stuff starts
to happen when these two technologies intersect.
Ever thought of a life where you could just command your home
appliances to work as you need just by using your voice? This is
small prototype in which we are going to control light switching
over the internet with our voice using Google assistant and in the
same way we can control our other appliances also.
INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS IoT ?
Internet of Things (IoT) is an ecosystem of connected physical
objects that are accessible through the internet.
The technology which helps to interact with internal states or the
external environment, which in turn affects the decisions taken.
IoT platforms can help organizations reduce cost through
improved process efficiency, asset utilization and productivity.
With improved tracking of devices/objects using sensors and
connectivity, they can benefit from real-time insights and
analytics, which would help them make smarter decisions.
WHAT IS GOOGLE
ASSISTANT?
Google Assistant is Google’s voice assistant, You can use Google Assistant
to trigger apps and devices, ask all kinds of questions, make plans, and
carry out a variety of useful tasks.
Assistant integrates well with a variety of services, allowing you to
accomplish many tasks with voice commands, such as:
 Ask the Assistant to “Set a reminder” for a specific day and time.
 “Show photos” of specific geo-tagged places or people.
 “Show emails” about specific topics, trips, meetings, social posts, or
anything else that may be stored in your Gmail.
 Ask “What is planned for tomorrow?” or “What’s going on today” to bring
up your calendar events etc. etc…
This technology we are going to use, to control our electrical appliances
.Now what a great change from operating mechanical switch to controlling
with our voice only, how comfort it is.
REQUIREMENTS
 NODE MCU
 RELAY BOARD
 JUMPER CABLE
 BREAD BOARD
 SMART PHONE
 ELECTRIC SUPPLY
 BULB

HARDWARE ASSEMBLY
After installing Blynk app and connecting it through our WiFi
using arduino programing , we can send the voice
commands interpreted by Google assistant directly to the
Blynk app, the Blynk app can then forward those commands
to the Node MCU, Now connect the Node MCU with the
Relay board.
To power up the Node MCU you can use a normal phone
charger, just make sure its voltage is not too high.
And to power up the Relay board, you can use a battery or
a separate breadboard power supplier.
Provide external power supply to the appliances connected
with relay board.
BENIFITS
 Savings
 Safety
 Convenience
 Control
 Comfort
Great
FUTURE SCOPE
Sensor technologies.
Smart robotic appliances.
Protection of connected device.
Fault detection and feedback system.
THANK YOU!
