• It is not fitting that Allah directly speak to HP except Through Wahy
• There were 3 types of Wahi
1. Allah Directly inspired HP without Angel onto his heart, no through
voice or any of HP senses, he was aware that idea was from Allah
and was experienced in Full consciousness and as well as sleep
no sensory perceptions were used.
1. Allah directly conveyed through voices other than voice of Humans
without angels and process was above Human conception, no
agent but sensory perception used and was most difficult
2. Allah conveyed message through Angel , sometimes Angel was not
seen , arrived in Human form or in its original form. Angel Jibra’il
came to deliver messages
Process of Revelations
• Process in called Nuzul which is derived from root word Nazala
meaning to sent down , bestow or descend.
• After the first revelation, sura al-‘Alaq, revelation stopped for a period
which caused the Prophet to worry. Once they started again they
came strongly and frequently
