Introduction to Nobel Quran
The Qur’an can be defined as follows:
• The speech of Allah, sent down upon the last
Prophet Muhammad, through the Angel
Gabriel, in its precise meaning and precise
wording, transmitted to us by numerous
persons (with continuity & consistency), both
verbally and in writing.
• Inimitable and unique, protected by God from
corruption.
THE NOBEL QURAN
• The Nobel Quran is the primary source
containing all the fundamental directives and
instructions of Allah, not only the directives
relating to individual conduct but also the
principles relating to all the aspects of social and
cultural life of human being.
• Quran is the last and complete edition of Divine
Guidance and this is the only book of Allah that
has not been distorted.
MAIN PURPOSE OF
HOLY QURAN
• The Quran is not only a book of law. Its
main purpose is to awaken man in the
higher consciousness of his relation with
Allah and the universe. However, in the
Quran there are at least five hundred
verses which possess definite legal
elements.

More read than any other book:
Charles Francis Potter writes:
• “It is more read than any other book in the
world. The Christian Bible may be a world
best-seller, but millions of followers of the
Prophet Mohammed read or recite long
sections of Al- Quran five times a day,
every day of their lives, from the time they
can talk.” (The Faith Men Live)
Comparison
• All the other Books beside the Holy Quran
were revealed at once. The Holy Quran
was revealed over a period of 23 years.
• All the other Books are no more in their
original form. Changes, alterations and
additions have been made to them.
• The Holy Quran is the final Book of Allah.
It is still pure, clear and free from any
change or alterations.
• REASONS WHY QUR’AN WAS REVEALED IN
STAGES
• The Qur’an was revealed in stages over a period of 23
years, and not as a complete book in one single act of
revelation. There are a number of reasons for this; most
important are the following:
I. To strengthen the heart of the Prophet (s) by addressing
him continuously and whenever the need for guidance
arose.
II. Out of consideration for the Prophet since revelation was
a very difficult experience for him.
III.To gradually implement the laws of God.
IV.To make understanding, application and memorisation
of the revelation easier for the believers.
Quran is same without any change
• F.F. Arbuthnot A British Orientalist and
Translator opines in his book titled “The
construction of Bible and the Koran,
London 1985”.
• “The Quran was compiled within twenty years
after the demise of Prophet Mohammed
(SAWW) and now this has remained the same
without any change by enthusiasts, translators
or interpolators up to the present time. But it is to
be regretted that same cannot be said of all the
books of Old and New Testament”.
• This is the only book whose safeguard and protection is provided by the lord of all the
world.
• This is the only book which is recited most in the world.
• This is the only book whose language is still alive and considered as standard Arabic
language.
• This is the only book whose recitation has a fixed reward. A man is rewarded with ten
good deeds on the recitation of single letter.
• This is the only book which is learnt by heart even by the followers of Prophet
Mohammad (SAWW) while the followers of earlier prophets used to recite their Holy
Books looking at the books.
• This is the only book which is inimitable as it challenges to every one to produce even
one verse like that. But further confirms that no one can do it.
• This is the only book which is a complete code of life and which influences human life
as a whole and individually.
• This is the only book which is more compatible with modern science.
• This is the only book which automatically upgrades and meets the problems of the
mankind.
• This is the only book which cures all physical (like snake bite) and spiritual illnesses
(like selfishness and greed).
• This is the only book which is sent to all mankind and its teachings will remain
applicable till doomsday. While the other books were sent for the particular nations
and for the specific time period.
Five Masajids mentioned in
Holy Quran
• Masjid-ul-Haram
• Masjid-ul-Nabavi
• Masjid-ul-Aqsa
• Masjid-ul-Quba
• Masjid-ul-Zirar
The Names of the Prophets and
their Number
• The Qur’an mentions the following prophets by name:
Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Isma’il, Ishaq, Lut, Ya’qub, Yusuf,
Musa, Harun, Dawud, Sulaiman, Ilyas, Al-Yasa’, Yunus,
Ayyub, Zakariya, Yahya, ‘Isa, Idris, Hud, Dhul Kifl,
Shu’aib, Salih, ‘Uzair, Muhammad (Peace be upon them)
• This does not mean, however, that only these have been
God’s prophets. Indeed the Qur’an is very clear that the
number of prophets is much larger and that to each
community from among mankind God has sent His
messenger:
