This document contains the text of a Catholic mass, including prayers, songs, readings and responses. It discusses Jesus as the king of hearts and son of man, references passages from the book of Daniel and Gospel of John about Jesus' kingdom, and includes prayers for priests and for the hearts of Jesus and Mary.
The Holy Mass has Biblical roots. Find out the beautiful historical background behind each part of the Mass. Pope Benedict XVI exhorts us all to know and deepen our relationship with God. There is no greater form of worship than the Holy Mass. We Catholics should make an effort to understand the Mass better in order to appreciate it more and so that we may grow to love it. For our non-Catholic brothers and sisters, please do view this presentation, too. It will help you understand why Catholics do the things we do. Thank you!

The sorrowful mysteries of the holy rosary, with scriptural (Biblical) meditations; a "bouquet of roses" in prayer; 54-day rosary novena prayers, the Fatima prayer, animated rosary beads, images for meditation, and spiritual communion.
Prayer is communicating with God through talking and listening. There are different types of prayer including communal prayer said with others (like Mass) and private prayer said alone (like reading scripture). The four main purposes of prayer are petition, adoration, contrition, and thanksgiving. Catholics should know important prayers like the Lord's Prayer, Hail Mary, and Apostle's Creed. Prayer is an important part of the Bible as seen in passages like the Magnificat and Psalms.
Divino D. Ledesma discusses how many of the Philippines' problems stem from a lack of good parenting and role models at home. He argues that if parents lead by good example, teach their children right from wrong, and are present in their lives, the next generation will grow up to be good citizens. However, many Filipinos work abroad leaving their children in the care of others, which can have negative effects like insecurity, materialism, and gender identity issues. Ledesma emphasizes the importance of parents showing their children love through quality time together rather than just material gifts.

Advent is the four-week period before Christmas that is used to prepare for the birth of Jesus Christ. During Advent, Catholics traditionally focus on prayer, penance, repentance from sin, and good works. The Advent wreath symbolizes this preparation through its circle of evergreen, four purple candles, and one rose-colored candle that are lit weekly to mark the progression of Advent.
Advent is a Christian celebration that marks the start of the liturgical year and the period leading up to Christmas. It begins on the Sunday nearest to November 30th and ends on Christmas Eve. During Advent, Christians prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus and look forward to his promised second coming. Some Advent traditions include wearing purple vestments, using an Advent wreath in services, and giving an Advent calendar with chocolates to count down the days until Christmas.
This document is the order of service for a Christmas Eve church service. It includes songs, scripture readings, and prayers celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The service focuses on the prophecy of Jesus's coming, his birth in Bethlehem as told in the gospels, sharing in communion, and going forth with the light of Christ after the service ends.

The document contains the Act of Contrition prayer, which expresses sorrow for sins committed and a resolve to sin no more with God's help. It also includes reminders about obtaining a copy of the PowerPoint presentation and silencing cellphones during mass. The outline provides the order of parts in a Catholic mass including entrance hymns, readings, prayers, and communion.
The document provides an overview of the parts and structure of the Catholic Mass, describing the liturgical elements in each section: Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and Concluding Rites. It compares the basic shape of the Mass to a communal meal, with gathering, storytelling, sharing food and drink, and sending forth. Key parts include readings from scripture, homily, creed, prayers, preparation of gifts, Eucharistic prayer, and communion rite.
Holy Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion, is receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ in the form of consecrated bread and wine. To receive Communion worthily, one must be free from mortal sin, have the right intention, and observe the fasting requirement of one hour prior. Preparing involves acts of faith, contrition and focusing on Jesus. After receiving, one should spend time in adoration, thanksgiving and asking God for blessings. Frequent reception of Communion, even daily, aids a holy life through closer union with Christ and increased grace.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who has been present since Creation. He is described through many symbols including wind, fire, a dove, and anointing with oil. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to believers and manifests Christ, making him present through the Church, sacraments, and helping believers understand and live out their faith.
Holy Orders is a sacrament that marks men as sacred ministers - bishops, priests, and deacons - to lead the faithful. The minor orders are now called ministries rather than ordinations. Subdiaconate no longer exists, and its function is now served by acolytes. Those preparing for priesthood must pass through the ministries of lector and acolyte. Deacons are ordained to serve and are attached to the bishop. Priests work with bishops to serve God's people. Bishops receive episcopal ordination which gives them full responsibility as transmitters of apostolic succession.
The document discusses sacraments in Christianity. It defines sacraments as visible signs instituted by Christ that impart divine grace. There are seven sacraments: Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Marriage. Each sacrament uses signs and symbols to convey what occurs during the celebration, such as water and candles in Baptism or bread and wine in Eucharist.
The Feast of Pentecost points to the following: 1) the time when Christ will pour the Holy Spirit upon his saints to prepare them for his coming during the last days; and
2) the gathering together of the 144,000, a group of saints that are deemed the “first fruit” of God’s harvest or his people.
Advent is a season of hope, anticipation, and joyful waiting that marks the preparation for the second coming of Jesus Christ. It begins four weeks before Christmas on November 29th and ends on December 24th. During Advent, Christians reflect on Jesus' first coming as a baby in Bethlehem and anticipate his second coming. The colors of Advent symbolize this meaning - purple represents expectation and repentance, while pink represents the impending joy of Jesus' arrival. Advent is an important time for Christians to contemplate God's amazing love shown through Jesus.
The document discusses the Catholic sacrament of confession. It defines confession as a way for Catholics to confess their sins and be forgiven by God through the priests. The sacrament offers forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with the Church, and indulgences that remove temporal punishment. To receive confession properly, one must examine their conscience, confess all mortal sins to a priest, express contrition, and accept the priest's absolution and penance.
Here are a few insights I gained from praying the Mass that could help pray it better:
- Focusing on the meaning and scriptural references behind parts of the Mass, like the significance of "Holy, Holy, Holy" and understanding the Eucharist as Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, can deepen prayer and participation.
- Being mindful of gestures like kneeling, bowing and genuflecting according to their purpose of showing reverence can aid full, conscious and active participation.
- Reciting parts of the Mass with an understanding of their theological foundations, such as the Nicene Creed professing core Catholic beliefs, can strengthen the prayer of the community and one's own faith.

The document discusses the history and importance of the rosary based on biblical passages and appearances of Mary. It describes how Mary endorsed the rosary when appearing to Saint Bernadette and the children at Fatima. Pope Leo XIII added the invocation "Queen of the Most Holy Rosary" to the Litany of Loreto. The rosary is said to offer protection against evil and have helped defend the Church in battles like Lepanto. Devotion to Mary and praying the rosary with meditation are challenged as important parts of one's prayer life.
Lent is a season of penance, fasting, and prayer beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on Holy Saturday. It is a time for reflection on Jesus' suffering and death and preparation for his resurrection. Some key aspects of Lent include receiving ashes on Ash Wednesday, fasting, abstaining from meat on Fridays, attending mass, praying the Stations of the Cross, and acts of charity. The document outlines Catholic traditions and practices observed during Lent, Holy Week, and Easter such as fasting, abstinence, Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.

This power point presentation is purposely done for those individuals serving in the church and don't have mass guide that can be flashed on any white screen during Eucharistic celebration provided you have a laptop and LCD projector. This can be used only in Bicol area specifically in the Archdiocese of Caceres.
This document discusses Paul's letter to the Romans and the love of God and Christ that cannot be separated from believers. It notes that Paul experienced the power of the Gospel and wanted to witness to both what he said and did. His faithfulness would lead him to Rome where he gave his life for the Lord. The document also shares the perspective of Chiara Lubich that when facing difficulties, believers should have courageous faith and trust in God's love, embracing the cross and doing God's will. Even during times of war, continuing to believe in God's love can enable glimpses of humanity.
This document summarizes Jesus' teaching that those who do the will of God are part of his family, rather than just one's biological relatives. It discusses an episode where Jesus' mother and brothers come to see him, but Jesus says his true family is anyone committed to God's will. Doing God's will of loving him and others makes one Jesus' brother, sister or mother. The document encourages readers to build God's family by being understanding, enlightening and warm towards those undergoing trials. It describes an after school program that aims to rebuild children's trust and hope through creating a welcoming family atmosphere.
1) The document is a summary and reflection on the passage "We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brothers and sisters" from 1 John 3:14.
2) It argues that by loving our neighbors, especially other Christians, we experience God's love and enter into union with God.
3) This experience of God's love through loving others gives us certainty in our faith and helps us face challenges to our faith.
A natureza faz parte da decoração. A música descreve um mundo maravilhoso com céus azuis, verdes colinas e nuvens brancas. A beleza natural do mundo é celebrada.
This document is a commentary on Jesus' words "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him" from the Gospel of Matthew.
The commentary explains that Jesus was assuring his disciples that he would remain present with them after his death through his dwelling in the hearts of Christians who love him by keeping his commandment of mutual love. It describes how living with decisive and persevering love for others allows the Trinity to come and dwell within us. The commentary encourages Christians to live this "Word of Life" through loving one another as Jesus taught.
The document discusses the role and responsibilities of teachers. It says that teaching is a vocation and gift from God, not just a job. Teachers are called to share in Jesus' ministry of teaching and to form the whole person, not just impart information. While they impart knowledge, teachers must point students toward the ultimate Source of knowledge, which is God. The document emphasizes that teachers are servants and stewards of the gifts entrusted to them, to develop and share for the good of the community.
The document discusses strategies for dealing with temptations based on biblical passages. It begins by establishing that temptations are real and come from the devil. It then provides five defenses: 1) Be aware of the devil's tactics, 2) Know God's will from the Bible and Church teachings, 3) Identify your weaknesses, 4) Strengthen your will through fasting and self-denial, and 5) Turn to prayer when facing temptation. The overall message is that through spiritual discipline and relying on God, one can resist temptations.
Bible Sharing Group Facilitators's TrainingRic Eguia
A Bible sharing group is a gathering where people come together to read, reflect on, learn from, pray with, and live out the word of God. Members share personal experiences of how God has worked in their lives based on the scripture reading rather than discussing biblical knowledge. The facilitator guides the sharing and ensures all rules are followed.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against developing mental illness and improve symptoms for those who already have a condition.
The liturgical calendar follows the life of Jesus and is divided into seasons including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time. Each season focuses on different aspects of Jesus' life and ministry and is represented by a specific liturgical color. The seasons culminate in the Easter Triduum celebrating Jesus' passion, death, and resurrection through events like Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil.

All praise and all thanksgiving
Be every moment Thine,
Be every moment Thine.
