4. NSA Spying
NSA Spying What is Metadata and What Does the Law Say? Technology is in everything we do
from using our home refrigerator, washer, cellular device, automobile, and or computer systems.
When using certain devices you pass information to others pertaining to personal and private
information. This information or metadata could be a bank account or credit card number, pin,
and or password that we unconsciously share. We randomly give away this information at a
dentist or doctor s office, the local liquor store, or when we visit social media sites like
Instagram, Facebook, Yahoo, and or Google. This information is all collected, stored, and tracked
by big brother, and what are they doing with it, is the metadata being secured, American s may
never know. Disturbingly the National Security Agency (NSA) has been collecting metadata on
Americans personal telephones and electronics devices for several years. This collection was
happening before the NSA Analyst Edward Snowden leaked these facts to the world in late 2013.
The NSA was formed in the 1950 s, and during this time frame the NSA disseminated intelligence
information from electronic signals for foreign and counter intelligence purposes, which supported
the American military needs. Currently the NSA has refocused their spying tactics to technology
driven devices. The NSA has an extensive telephone metadata program, since 2001, and they
collect phone records of virtually all Americans (Lizza, 2013). Email and Social

5. Live in Myths
This excerpt from Live in Myths, written by Ellen Goodman is a fabulous example of all the
different kinds of relationships and their participants who have an excellent sustainability to spend
their lives living their own myths. A very evident character that the author uses to bring out the true
meaning of this piece is her friend. Her friend is continuously apologizing for her husbands
unapologetic behavior, saying, He is not really like that, when he most definitely has been this way
since the time they first started dating. The woman uses the word cranky is order to describe her
husband and his actions. But the author uses more serious and much heavier words like, erratic
outbursts of anger , which helps us understand the nature of... Show more content on

All these unanswered questions bring out a lot of possibilities because it is not everyday that
we see someone like the woman. It must be so difficult for her to be living with her myth as well
as her man . Here the author personifies her myth as if it is another person altogether with
different personalities. In this excerpt the myth is usually what the person actually wants.
Therefore they believe the opposite person is like that in order to save him or herself of getting
disappointed over and over again. I know of a couple where a woman believes that her husband
never cheats on her. After finding text messages and e mails from the other woman, she yet prefers
to believe that her husband could never do such a thing. She is yet living with the man, though the
man has made it very clear that he is not in love with her anymore and would want her to move
out. But she refuses. She believes she could make him fall in love with her all over again and
then things would get better. It makes me sad every time my mother and I go to meet her. Her
hope for the future gives me the strength to endure all the difficulties in my life the way she did.
But at the same time it baffles me how she could be so blind to her husband s character and yet
believe that she could bring about a change in a man who doesn t even love her

6. Summary Of ABC Series The Abbey
The Abbey
The Abbey is an ABC series that documents the events experienced by 5 women who have been
selected to live the lives of monastic nuns at The Abbey , which is Australia s first enclosed
monastery, for 33 days and nights. The nuns of the Abbey focus their lives on three main ideas
listening, silence and obedience.
The purpose of this series was to take 5 very different women who all were to some extent critical
about the existence of God and the relevance of religion in their lives.
The two women I have chosen to focus on are Robyn and Tusa as well as looking at the role that
the religious mentor to the women, Sister Hilda, played in developing these two women s personal
faith.
Robyn is 57 years old and has recently retired ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hilda later explains that they encourage this silence, so that the participants can listen to the ear of
their hearts and maintain a continuous connection with God in everything they do and say during
their time at the Abbey.
Hilda accepted all the women no matter what they believed and no matter how they personally
connected themselves with God, an example of this was when Tusa couldn t understand the
relevance of religion in her life, Hilda told her It s not our religion we are trying to share with you,
we just want to share God with you .
In the final scenes of the documentary, Hilda talks about why her and the sisters live their lives
like they do and simply explains the whole purpose of the journey that the five women had just
finished, she said, People say that oh those nuns their just wasting their lives, but I honestly believe
that when me and the other sisters are praying everyday, we are making the world that much better
and we are making someone s day that much better .

Daniel has much written in it about prophecy that correlates with the End Times prophecy in the
book of Revelations. Daniel 9, in particular, talks a great deal about the seven years tribulation,

speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my
supplication before the Lord my God ...the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the

Gender stereotypes reflect percievers observations of what people do in daily life (Eagly and
Steffan, 1984) and remain if perceivers continue to observe a certain group engaged in specific
activities, which then turn into assumptions that the group is able to perform such tasks. When it
comes to gender roles, Heilman (2001) suggests that there are two roles that either gender can
possess, agentic or communal. Agentic behaviour is usually associated with men, and portrays the
idea of being achievement orientated and taking charge (Solomon, Bamossy, Askegaard, and Hogg,
2013). Additionally, leadership and manager attributes such as, problem solving, risk taking, and
being active are associated with an agentic, masculine figure (Heilman, 2001). Women, on the other
hand, show communal attributes that are associated with care taking, helpful, and relationship
orientated. Sczesny s work (2003) introduced the common assumption that managerial positions are
male dominated, think manager think male , and crisis situations are associated with females
(Haslam Ryan, 2007).

9. Gender Identity In Lou Reed s The Velvet Underground
The bizarre, avant garde music of the Velvet Underground was too much for the family friendly
mainstream of the mid sixties. While the Beatles were performing two minute pop songs, and the
Rolling Stones were covering blues numbers, Lou Reed, the lead singer and primary songwriter of
the Velvet Underground, was composing experimental art rock on such topics as heroin, sexual
deviancy, cross dressing, and hedonism. His strong interest in literature influenced his songwriting.
Reed claimed he wanted to bring the sensitivities of the novel to rock music . His lyrics depicted
the Underground , the misfits and social outcasts on the fringes of society that mainstream culture
shunned. Four particular aspects of the Underground referenced in Reed s... Show more content on

During a period in the seventies, Reed had a transgender Mexican girlfriend. As a teenager, his
parents subjected him to electroconvulsive therapy due to his sexuality. He said of the treatment,

homosexual feelings. The effect is that you lose your memory and become a vegetable. You can

difficult to realize where his nihilistic attitude came from. He also wrote the song, Kill Your
Sons , during his solo career to express his indignation with the treatment. A line from the Velvet
Underground song, New Age , deals with the theme of bisexuality: It seems to be my fancy to
make it with Frank and Nancy . A reference such as this is so subtle that few people might catch
it at first. Nonetheless, it is an example of how Reed sprinkled his sexuality throughout his
music. The third verse of Walk on the Wild Side references Little Joe, a bisexual prostitute and
patron of Andy Warhol s Factory: Little Joe never once gave it away / Everybody had to pay and

Jackie were called superstars at the Factory. They

Christ died in a hard way but only complained about being thirsty. Yann Martel compares Christ s

alienated because they aren t accepted for their differences. Horton Foote, the screenwriter, did an

Hair through the ages.
Since the beginning of time, hair and hairstyles has been very important to the human race. Hair

our hair.
Antiquity:
The Egyptians

Roman fashions did not change much over the centuries and were generally very simple, but

affluence that it could not even have dreamed of during Mao s era (42). People enjoyed not only a
convenient life with color televisions or refrigerators but also the sudden influx of Western culture.
However, the rapid growth of Chinese economy also led to inflation, corruption, embezzlement,
economic crimes and increased the difference between the rich and the poor. On the other hand, the
intensive absorption of Western literature and popular culture trends (such as pop music, movie
stars, jeans, brand names or disco dance) created social fevers in Chinese society. Having the chance
to approach the Democracy ideology, Chinese reexamined the values they had always respected.
They questioned the ideality of Socialism and Communism, they wanted to have democracy as
other Western countries and they realized the over domination of the communist state. As it was
stated in the March 1989 report of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the
youth thought Marxism is outdated, others that China has the worst record of democracy even

wanted an absolute change in the way the Chinese state ruled the nation. While the students

a kick that the goalkeeper takes when the ball passes over the goal line or back line. Corner
happened because the other team had the ball off. Badminton.... A match is the best of 3 games

added to their score. When both sides get to 20, the side that gains a 2 point lead wins. When
both sides reach 29, the side that gets to 30 first wins. Single rule: When the person serving has
an odd score, they serve from the left; an even score they serve from the right. In singles, when a

24. Adam And Eve Durer Summary
Durer s engraving of 1504, Adam and Eve, clearly reflects his sacred attitude towards his craft.
His attention to detail and clever use of symbolism shows the reverence that he has for his art
form. Religion itself is a scared subject matter and the fact that he engraved two of the most famous
religious figures in history and engraved them well shows the sacredness that he feels towards the
subject and his art work. Everything in this engraving has meaning and symbolism. Adam and Eve,

25. Management Functions Within The Operations Management Essay
Sustaining Operations
When a 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Japan, no one would think any business in its
path could survive such a tragedy. Nissan was able to survive the devastating effects of this natural
disaster by having a plan to sustain operations. In order to sustain operations, it is essential to
explore the use of process management functions within the operations management (OM)
processes. Nissan was impacted by the earthquake, but fortunately they were able to explore the use
of process management and incorporate them into operations management (OM) functions. Nissan
has been able to use key advantages from three different operation theories: Just in Time (JIT),
Toyota Production System (TPS), and Lean Production as well as integrate concepts such as triple
bottom line, ISO 14000 standards, and incorporate corporate responsibility principles to maintain
sustainability into their operations.
Nissan has incorporated theories such as Just in Time (JIT), Toyota Production Systems (TPS), and
Lean production into their OM functions. JIT is a process that focuses on supply chain
management to reduce carrying costs by having supply provided and output produced exactly when
they are needed (Linton, 2016). JIT emphasizes forced problem solving, which is one JIT s biggest
advantages. This allows Nissan to focus on the problems, ultimately reducing inventory and cutting
variability and waste. Nissan implemented JIT prior to the earthquake catastrophe,

After reading the chapter in the book Outliers, The Story of Success, I believe that Gladwell did
a great job explaining how different cultures can cause an impact our to the society and the
individuals. Although I love working in a work place that embraces diversity and is accepting
of all kinds of people, this may lead to some challenges due to the differences that we pertain. For
example, every coworker I work with is unique in his or her own way; we were all raised
differently and were born into other communities. Furthermore, this enabled us all have different
ways of doing things or handling situations. One thing that I was taught to do a certain way may
bother a coworker of mine if they do it differently and vise versa which could lead to those
challenges. A talent that someone may be superior at, may be extremely difficult for somebody
else. In the end, everyone has their own talents which should be embraced and used in order to

It was developed by Adam Smith he formulated the basis of what was later to become the science
of human capital and it was used to study if investing in human capital would lead to greater
economic outputs (what makes one worker more productive than another). This theory indicates
that all human behavior is based on the economics of self interest, of individuals operating within
freely competitive markets. When applied to the study, this theory holds that the independent
variable, work based training influences or explains the dependent variable gaining employment.
The belief is that people, who want high wage employment, will spend more time educating
themselves, in their desired field of employment. This equates to a more qualified candidate;
forcing the employer to provide higher pay (Fitzsimons, 1999). This theory plays a role in
supporting the word self sufficient.
The definition of self sufficient for this research is being able to provide ones needs without
government assistance. The Human Capital Theory adds to this definition by stating that it is the
belief that people want more so they do the things necessary for them to become self sufficient.

The term genre is referenced frequently when describing film, literature, music, and other mediums
of artistry, and yet attempting to define the term itself is difficult. Genre studies are rife with
uncertainty and conflicting opinions on how best to define and research genre. Some theorists opt
for a semantic approach, a broader categorization a genrethat encompasses a large number of films,
the building blocks of which are commonplace across that genre. In contrast to the semantic
theorists, some prefer a syntactic approach, isolating select films which most ideally represent the
themes and structural conventions of that genre. There exists a third interpretation, a semantic

Also present throughout the genre is the continual search for a national identity in a landscape of
drastic change. This includes an attempt to overcome dialectical and communicative problems at
the core of American society. These are conventions included in the genre s syntax, and they
accompany a Bundle of Oppositions which often play a key role in a character s motivation and the
plot of the Western filmitself. These divergent concepts include: purity v. corruption , self
knowledge v. illusion , savagery v. humanity , and brutalization v. refinement . Apart from the
aforementioned syntactical conventions of the genre, the semantics of the Western are easily
spotted and used in the vast majority of classical Western films. These more noticeable
characteristics include the setting of the legendary Western frontier, guns and gun battles, violence,
horses, and stock characters. One of these archetypal characters is the Frontier Hero , a character
identified with the landscape of the west, and whose purpose in the film is to purge that landscape
of obstacles in the way of its development. Also included in this generic cast of the Western are the
tough/soft Cowboy , the savage Indian , the strong but tender woman , the out of touch antihero ,
and the lonely sheriff . These semantics are commonplace in many archaic westerns, and yet their
prominence has faded as time passes.* The Searchers is a classical Western to the extreme,

could possibly take for one semester. All the questions I ve selected are involving Carl Jungand not
Sigmund Freud. To begin with my essay let s start with question number five which asks to explain
Jung s notion of collective unconscious . I very strongly believe that Jung s concept of collective
unconscious is mainly based on his personal experiences with people who suffer from
schizophrenia which he gained form when he worked with them at the Burgholzli hospital. At first
Jung chose to follow the Freudian theory of unconscious, but later on Jung eventually chose to go
down his own path and decided to develop his own theory on unconscious which would feature
totally new concepts. Most importantly being the archetype. Archetypes constitute the structure of
the collective unconscious, which are the psychic innate dispositions to experience and represent
the basic human behavior and situations. For example, Mother and child relationship which is
mainly governed by the mother archetype. The Father and child relationship is mainly governed by
the Father archetype. Birth, death, power and failure are controlled by archetypes.

The most haunted town in America at the time of publication was Salem, Massachusetts. It wasn t
by coincidence that Hawthorne chose Salem as the setting for his ghost story; he had family ties to
the very events which made Salem infamous. So he sets the story in a forest outside the town of
witches still inhabited by devilish Indians. The forest is an important part of the setting as well.
The forest in those days seemed vast and endless and much of it remained unexplored and foreign.
Safety was achieved by living in communities. Those who chose to wander into the forest
oftentimes never returned. The early Americans did not trust the Native Americans or their ancient
religions and practices. The settlers believed them to be the devils servants.
In this setting no illusion is beyond the devils control. Without his faith, Goodman Brown is
helpless to resist the wickedness of the devil.. Hawthorne alludes to devil s magic by comparing
his own staff as the very one the Egyptian magicians transformed to a serpent. A witch who lost
her broomstick appears along the path. Her identity: the old lady who taught young Goodman
Brown his catechism. Goodman Brown sees the evil in everyone because as he journeys farther

37. A Superstar s Open Contempt
A Superstar s Open Contempt
For various folks, the description of the nature of Jesus prevails as a yielding, meek man that
merely wants people to be morally, loving toward each other; notwithstanding, this analogy
surfaces as being insultingly inadequate. For this man, if you want to call Him a man, shined as
a towering superstar and labored continually to tolerate people s ignorance and stupidity.
Throughout the four gospels, from the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5 7), to all of His teachings
and parables, He does expound on people to strive to better their brotherly love, ethics, morals,
etc., speaking quite compassionately; while focusing mainly on people s spiritual
transformations, becoming born again. (John 3:3) Nevertheless, looking closer, there occur
matters that exhibit disregard and possibly open contempt numerous times (Matt 10:21, 10:34
38), even towards His own mother (Matt 12:46 50, Mar 3:31 35, John 2:4); in addition, He
demonstrates a temper to the point of killing a barren fig tree (Matt 21:18 21; Mark 11:12 14;
11:20 21).
Moreover, Jesus persists as constantly attacking people for their erroneous beliefs, and other unruly
behaviors; such as the Scribes, (Matt 5:20, 23:14 15), the Pharisees, (Matt 23:25, Luke 11:44); the
Sadducees, (Matt 16:11 12). He discredits Gentiles, and Samaritans (Matt 10:5); people buying and

38. Attachment Theory, Biological Influences
The issue of attachment is one that influences an individual throughout their life, affecting many
aspects of their development. It is first formed during infancy between the child and their primary
care giver and is maintained over the course of their lifespan. The level of attachment that is formed
during infancy creates a foundation for psychological development in the course of the individual s
life (Santrock, 2013). Attachment security can be an indication of the quality of an individual s
future relationships, as well as challenges that may arise from such interactions. The following will
discuss the attachment theory, biological influences of attachment, factors that contribute to the type
of attachment formed during infancy and early childhood, and its impact and complications
throughout each stage of development from infancy through late adulthood.
Attachment Theory
Bolwby s attachment theory suggests that infants come into the world biologically pre programmed
to form attachments with others in order to survive. He believed that most behaviors associated
with attachment are instinctive and are active during conditions or situations that are threatening.
The attachment theory attributes an infant s fear of strangers to a natural survival mechanism; their
crying helps ensure their caregivers awareness and proximity to them. An infant s behaviors, such
as crying, smiling, or crawling, are meant to stimulate caregiving in adults. Attachment is

A Bar Mitzvah or a Bat Mitzvah is when a boy or girl reaches the age of thirteen and they are now

celebrated through the gathering or family and friends in the form of a party. This celebration is
one of the rituals of the Jewish religion.
Mitzvot (plural of Mitzvah) are understood to come from God and intended for Jewish people to
observe and partake in. Some Jewish people that live on the Western side of the world believe
there is some contradiction with the thought of being commanded to act in something because it
takes away from their right to choose how to behave. In the Torah, it says that when God gave the
commandments he declared, Behold, I have set before you the blessing [of observing the
commandments] and the curse [the potential punishment of failing to observe the Mitzvot]
therefore, choose life! . The Jewish people interpreted this as God acknowledging that Jews have a
choice and he wants them to choose the right one. All Jewish people have different beliefs behind
the importance of a Mitzvah. Some believers attempted to prove that Mitzvot are all sensible,
logical actions that any person with ethical morals would welcome. Whereas others reject that

Climate change refers to any changes in climatic conditions, for example, temperature, precipitation

such as changes in the suns activity and volcanic eruption. nevertheless, recent climate changeis
extensively attributed to human activities, since the mid 20th century to change climate change

possible. Any delay in dealing with today s environmental topics will make the problems even more

The problem of climate change can be alleviated by three different levels, namely the individual

43. The Korean Wave
Trending Worldwide: Korean Wave
Rosanna Danica B. Maguad
TRENDING WORLDWIDE: KOREAN WAVE Unlike in the past, Philippine Media is now a
combination of various Asian entertainments. It imports TV series and movies from neighboring
Asian countries. Imported movies are then dubbed in Filipino and streamed in our country. ABS
CBN, one of the top TV stations in the country, started to explore foreign TV series last 2003.
This was Meteor Garden, a Taiwanese drama series. Because of the boom of the said series, GMA
7, a rival of ABS CBN, made the same move. They also brought in various teleseryes from other
Asian countries. They were the first one to air Korean dramas. Although, both stations tried
Japanese, Thailand, and Taiwanese series,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Korean Towns brought by Korean diaspora in the Philippines provided additional jobs for
Filipinos. Also, Koreans seek to learn English in Philippines. Since the Philippines is an English
speaking country, anyone could teach basic English to them. As the interest in Korean wave
continues, the discrimination of zainichi or the Korean residents in Japan decreases. Zainichi
have closer affinity to Japan than Korea because they were born and raised there. However, they
are still discriminated for being non Japanese national. But when the Korean culture started to
trend, the zainichis are now more appreciated. There is even a Zainichi character who starred in
a Japanese television (Brasor, 2004). Negative effects and criticisms accompanied continuing
success of Korean wave. One of these is the rise of Korean Tribe. This term refers to Korean
wave followers who are wanna be of their favorite Korean stars. Most of them are women. They
would imitate the fashion, hairstyles, make up, gestures or even all the way up in having plastic
surgeries ( The Korean Wave , n.d.). In the article South KoreaCulture Wave Spreads across Asia
written by Louisa Lim, Dr. Chung Jong Pil pointed out that there is 30% increase of foreigners
who went to Korea to undergo plastic surgery. He added that these are mostly Chinese and
Japanese who wanted to make their looks more like

Genome engineering using the CRISPR Cas9 system
Matei Agavriloaei 120004682
24/11/2014
ABSTRACT:
Modified nucleases have been used for years in order to achieve successful genome editing and
are nowadays an almost universally used method. RNA guided nucleases (such as Cas9) with
easily changeable characteristics have been generated in great numbers especially since the
emergence of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR). This represents
the most modern tool that can be used by scientists for genome editing. This technology can bring a
broad range of medical benefits and advancements (1).
CRISPR Cas systems:
CRISPRs are DNA loci that include ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Figure 1: Overview of the CRISPR Cas system it shows the adaptive immunity with the use of viral
DNA (3);
Cas genes code for proteins related to CRISPRs. This association is a prokaryotic immune system.
CRISPR spacers recognize and cut the foreign DNA material, just as RNAi does in eukaryotic
organisms (2).
In 2013, this system started being used (and is still widely used today) for adding and changing
sequences of targeted genes (4), process also known as genome editing. The genome can be cut
any location by guiding properly RNAs into a cell and also delivering Cas9 protein. In theory, it
could be possible to build RNA guided gene drives with the use of CRISPR to alter the genetic
code of entire populations (5).
CRISPR RNA (crRNA) and Cas proteins come together and form CRISPR ribonucleic proteins
(crRNPs) for appropriate targeting and cleaving of the foreign nucleic acid (3).
Due to the accelerate evolution of the immune system, the CRISPR Cas systems are highly
diverse and have been catalogued into three main types, each of them having a specific Cas
protein. Type I and III and related and contain Cas3 nuclease helicase and Cas10 (a protein with an
unknown function) respectively. Type II is phylogenetically different and is represented by the
Cas9 nuclease.
Type II has three different subunits (A, B and C) and their crRNPs are all known as Cas9
complexes. They are restricted only to bacteria, not being in present in archaea as well (3).
46. The Sorrow Of War And Full Metal Jacket Essay
The Sorrow of War and Full Metal Jacket both have one main element in common the Vietnam War.
Other than the similar time period, these two representations of the Vietnam War differ drastically.
The Sorrow of War, a novel written by Bao Ninh, follows a North Vietnamese solider named Kien
during his years fighting for the communist regime and documenting his hardships before, during,
and after the war. Full Metal Jacket is a movie that depicts the American side of the war in Vietnam
,
focusing on one group of Marine recruits and their journey to the frontlines. Both representations
contain similar themes of mental illness, personal sufferings, and unfathomable wartime situations.
Nevertheless, I believe that The Sorrow of War captures human emotion and turmoil more
precisely than Full Metal Jacket does through the author s word choice and exemplary
descriptions of his sorrows experienced due to the war. The Sorrow of War shows the Vietnam
War from a communist s point of view; a perspective that is often overlooked and misunderstood by
Americans. This literary work exemplifies the idea that all humans encompass feelings and
emotions regardless of their political affiliation, citizenship, and/or ethnicity. Furthermore,
Americans are seen as the bad guys to the North Vietnamese, invading their country, killing their
people, and raping their women. Another realistic aspect of The Sorrow of War is how Kien
suffers from survivor s guilt he is unable, even in decades after

48. John Locke Unspoken Contract Essay

Option #1
The Unspoken/Unwritten contract of Mankind
Is there an unwritten rule or acknowledgement between mankind in which we have agreed to a
disproportionate and unequal amount of earthly possessions? Or have we been coerced by our
ancestors through rules and laws of society that have been forgotten through time? John Locke a
rational and just man who usually battles his arguments with morals and logic speaks in his
treatise chapter V about God. John Locke opens the chapter speaking about equality and that God
gave the earth to the children of man therefore no one was granted more than the other. Locke took
his stance on the appropriation of lands and earthly possessions. Locke proposed the theory of
labor. Locke s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Claiming that it is acceptable to own more than one s labor can service as long as that perishable
is bartered for money (non perishable). Like this, Locke realizes the unspoken contract between
mankind. Indeed one can have a disproportionate and unequal possession of the earth by agreeing
to use gold and silver. Since everyone agrees to use currency inequality becomes fair and just due
to the fact that a man s worth is determined by his labor. Locke believed that bartering for goods
with money was presumably prejudiced, and voluntary because both sides would have something
to gain. A famous saying silence is consent has also lead me to believe that throughout time some
became more entitled to more than others. With a vast quantity of land per capita some found
themselves acquiring more just because they could. Others allowed it therefore if it was accepted.
But many questions are still unanswered. If we can accumulate as much money without causing
others poverty are those who are poor entitled to my money? According to Locke s view if we
did not cause that persons poverty we are not responsible for their suffering. A catch 22 indeed
though we did not cause the persons suffering, it is the same that we did nothing to stop it. This
is a question of ethics John Locke overlooked. It is a question of ethic though helping a person
who is in need can be debatable, is helping a person who is condemned to death by hunger

The reception area of both Radisson Blu and Taj is open on the sides instead of being walled, with
enough lighting. Both resorts have gone for yellow lighting.
With one section of the reception area being open, artificial lighting dominates Radisson. Huge
intricately designed chandeliers with yellow lighting are hung in the reception area.
But natural lighting dominates the Taj as nearly three fourth of the area is open spaced. The
artificial lights in the reception are simple ceiling fixed yellow lights.

50. Cantilena Spring Research Paper
Cantilena spring Cantilena Springs, now known as Edward Vincent Jr Park, is located on the
corner of Warren Lane and Park Avenue in the city of Inglewood. The park being two minutes
across the street from my apartment, is one of the major reasons why I choose this historical
site. The park is located by the 105 freeway in the heart of Inglewood surrounded by many
residential buildings. The huge park has many visually stimulating and pleasurable attributes.
There are various pathways in the park and these pathways are surrounded by a large amount of
big trees, which serve as shade for people when the weather is sunny. This park being a historical
site attracts a variety of people, which makes it very busy, lively and welcoming. Cantilena Park
has a lot of playgrounds with a spacious green landscape for people to relax and spend time with
their families and loved ones. The park looks well conserved, clean and smells really sweet. This
park today is being preserved because of its social and economic contributes to the city of
