Blackboard. How to upload a video to the Helix
Media Server and how to use the Helix Mashup

  • 2. 2 This Session ‒ Duration: 30 Mins ‒ Audience: Teaching staff who are using Bb and would like to use videos within their Blackboard modules ‒ Aims: An introduction to using videos in Blackboard. How to upload a video to the Helix Media Server and how to use the Helix Mashup in Blackboard. Regents University London
  • 3. 3 Learning Objectives After this session you will: ‒ Understand the basics of how to use the Helix Media Library and the Helix Mashup. ‒ You will be able to: ‒ Upload a video to the Helix Media Library ‒ Embed a Helix video in Blackboard
  • 5. 5 Recording TV ‒ Email: mediaservices@regents.ac.uk ‒ Including as much information as possible. ‒ Media Services then email back with a link to your video on Helix. ‒ Video can be tagged by you so that it can be searched for using the Helix Mashup.
  • 6. 6 Future Developments ‒ Helix Upgrade: ‒ Chapter points ‒ Sub-categories E.G. Languages > Spanish ‒ Increase to 2GB upload limit ‒ Video Uploaded Directly via Blackboard
