The final exam consists of two 90-minute papers covering two essays for Paper 1 and four questions for Paper 2, out of a total of 80 marks. The final mark is out of 110 including an assignment. Each essay should be 45 minutes, including a 3-minute plan, 5-minute introduction, 31-minute main section, and 6-minute conclusion. Essays ask students to make a judgement about how important a factor is or balance arguments for and against an overall position. They provide questions using stems like "To what extent...", "How fully...", or "How important was...".
