Main Ideas The main idea of the article was to help children with autism develop
better social behavior so that they could in turn develop better relationships with
their peers. This study was designed to assess and hopefully narrow down the
methods that could best bring about this outcome. The authors argument (Jones,

participants view a video of a similar aged child acting out the targeted social

Challenges Ethnic/Racial Identity In the same way, I used the RESPECTFUL
model to identify aspects of my culture and personality it can be used additionally
to determine areas of growth in my character (Ivey et al., 2008, p. 26). Growing up I
never had much interaction with those from different ethnic or racial backgrounds as
the community I lived in was composed of mostly European Americans. This leads to
struggles within myself pertaining to communication with those from different
ethnic or racial background than myself. Although, I was not intentional in
acquiring this part of my person it was absorbed through the absence of ethnic and
racial diversity in the community that I was a part of throughout my childhood and
early young adult life. Now, this fact is something which has left me with
uncomfortable feelings when surrounded by differing people. Intentional
Interviewing and Counseling speaks of cultural intentionality and the importance of
adapting your style to fit with the client s background (Ivey et al., 2008, p. 7 8).
Considering both my personal background and what the textbook says I can
determine the need for a journey that expands my capabilities of addressing the
needs of my clients from diverse ethnic or racial heritage. One of the ways I could
garnish a better understanding would be to spend more time socially with people

The Peninsular terrane is a Triassic to Jurassic island arc complex that was accreted
to the North American craton by the Early Cretaceous (Detterman and Reed, 1980;
Jones et al., 1987; Ridgway et al., 2002; Trop et al., 2002, 2005; Clift et al., 2005).
The terrane includes mafic to andesitic flows and volcaniclastic rocks, limestone,
and mudstone. These rocks structurally overlie and are intruded by Jurassic plutonic
rocks of the Talkeetna arc (Reed and Lanphere, 1973; Reed et al., 1983; Rioux et al.,
2010). The plutonic rocks include gabbroic to granitic compositions, but are
dominated by quartz diorite and tonalite rocks (Detterman and Reed, 1980; Reed et
al., 1983).

(Fig. 1; Detterman et al., 1976; Beikman, 1980). The Lake Clark fault extends from
Lake Clark northeast into the Alaska Aleutian Range batholith (Detterman et al.,
1976). Based on offsets measured on
aeromagnetic anomaly maps, Haeussler and Saltus (2005) es timated that there has
been approximately 26 km of dextral offset along the Lake Clark fault since the
Eocene. Ivanhoe (1962) suggested that approximately 10 km of offset has oc
curred since the Tertiary, based on offsets of geologic units. The Pebble district is
located southwest of the mapped extent of the Lake Clark fault. The fault has not
been recognized west of Lake Clark (Detterman and Reed, 1973, 1980; Plafker et al.,
1975; Koehler, 2010).
The Mulchatna fault is parallel to the Lake Clark fault (Beikman, 1980). In general,
the fault coincides with the boundary between the Kuskokwim and the Kahiltna
