Food is any substance consumed to provide
nutritional support for the body. It is usually
of plant or animal origin, and contains
essential nutrients, such
as fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals.
The substance is ingested by an organism and
assimilated by the organisms’ cells to
produce energy, maintain life, and stimulate
growth.
•We all love to eat. Food is one thing
no one can resist. But often while
fulfilling the demands of our tongue
we do forget the beneficiary of food.
•Food has many varieties and offers
a great variety for us to choose. But
we should prefer to have what is
good for us not what our heart
says!!!!

Nutrition is the selection
of foods and preparation of foods,
and their ingestion to
be assimilated by the body.
 By practicing a healthy diet, many
of the known health issues can be
avoided.
The diet of an organism is what it
eats, is largely determined by the
perceived palatability of foods.

• The term ‘organic’ refers to hygienic farming method .
Organic food basically refers to the food grown with
using methods of organic farming .
• Organic food is served cold and fresh with iodine salt
and vinegar . It is generally rich in proteins and
carbohydrates

Food preservation is an essential practice for preserving food nutrients
and saving it from decaying . Common food preservation methods
are:
• Pasteurisation
• Salting
• Sugaring etc
