▪ Examine flexible mains cable for signs of damage to insulation,
severing to outer casing, or lose connections
▪ Check that the plug has no live terminals on show
▪ Ensure that it has the correct fuse, and ensure that the pins are
present and in good condition
▪ Any piece of electrical equipment that sustains damage; becomes
worn, or where there is any reason at all to suspect its safety, should
be taken out of use, clearly labelled and tested before being used
again
▪ Make sure that before using
electrical equipment, that there is
no static built up, by touching
anything grounded
▪ Only use in suitable environments
i.e. not wet areas/weather
