Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is a Public Sector undertaking engaged in
manufacturing and overhaul of Aircrafts. Aircraft & Avionics Division,
Nasik & Hyderabad respectively, engages in manufacturing of MiG 21M,
MiG 21 BIS, MiG 27 aircrafts. Along with manufacturing, the division also
carries out overhaul of the MiG series aircraft. The Division is an
independent profit-centre and is currently engaged in the SU-30 MKI
project

 Recruitment of Employees, Officers and Apprentices (ITI &
Vocational).
 Designing of job specification of positions to be advertised.
 Interaction with National / Local Newspapers for publication of
advertisements.
 Coordinating with Outsourcing parties for recruitment.
 Coordination with Local Employment Exchange for sponsoring of
eligible candidates.
 Arrangement of Examination Centers for conducting Written
Examination / Interviews.
 Preparation of Rating Sheets, which enables the selection of

 Finalization and generation of Offer of Appointment to selected

 Coordinating with Hospital for Medical Examination of Selected

Description:-
This project was an effort to analyze, that effective talent retention is a
systematic effort by employers to create and foster an environment that
encourages current employees to remain employed, by having policies
and practices in place that address their diverse needs. A strong talent
retention strategy, therefore, becomes a powerful recruitment tool. The
challenge is not only to attract the best talent but also to retain them.
Based on study in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, it was found that the
satisfaction level of the Officer’s is quite high. The HR practices like
keeping the officers engaged, providing learning & development
opportunities, empowerment of the Officers, the schemes for reward &
recognition, the welfare amenities etc are adopted by HAL for retaining
the talent. The policies framed by HAL are attractive & best in practice to
retain the talent in the global competitive aeronautical industry.
