Hardware and software
 Hardware – The physical object such as
    a computer or camera.

 Software – The programs that the
computer uses such as, Photoshop and
    Microsoft Word.
Hardware technologies
               Computer e.g. Mac

Throughout the process of making my media
magazine I have been using a Apple iMac, using
the iMac was very easy and helped me create my
magazine. The Mac’s keyboard and mouse were
useful in creating my product and researching.

           Smart phone and Camera

The smart phone I used is the iPhone, I used this to
email and take various photos for my final product.
However, when I wanted more detailed photos I
chose to use a Nikon D800 digital camera. I found
these extremely useful in making my final product.
Software technologies
                         Internet

I used a lot of different internet sites to do my product.

Google
Helped me research into existing media magazines to
help me with my initial ideas and help me research into
different media distributing companies.

Wordpress
Is a blogging site where I stored my work in posts and my
production logs.

 Prezi
Is a site where I could further develop my skills in making
professional designs instead of using power point, it
allowed me to have text and an image on a presentation
and zoom in to the image to link to the text.
Software continued
                     Internet
Slide share
Is a way of embedding power points on to my
wordpress blog, this was a useful way of having
no links on my blog and the content was easily
accessible.

Microsoft Word
Word is useful to write up documents such as my
development diary, it easy to use and helped me
write up articles fort my final design because
Photoshop doesn't’t have spell check.
Software continued
Photoshop
Photoshop was the main software I used
when making my product, it help me
professionally make the front
cover, contents page and double page
spread. I have learnt more skills when
using it such as adding a filter to the picture
which added to the house style (warm
filter).
