colonial rule under Belgium was marked with extensive violence and extreme
exploitation of resources. This created a situation in which few Congolese had higher
education or the necessary skills to run a modern government or an effective
economy. Furthermore, the Congo s traditional socioeconomic structures were
disrupted long before the end of the colonial era. After the country finally gained
independence, the state was unable to maintain political or economic stability.
Independence In 1960, the Congo gained independence from Belgium under a

dedication to Congolese nationalism was not shared nationwide however, and shortly

The goal of the experiment conducted was to determine the correlation, if any,
between Texas A M student alcohol consumption each week and the number of
classes missed per week. Given the abilities and constraints of descriptive statistics,
choosing to focus on this type of statistic allowed for the student to properly view the
overall information, since there were many interacting values.
Method
In this study, the participants were randomly selected throughout a two week
period (N = 35). The people were all Texas A M students, ranging from freshman to
senior classifications (M = 2.71, SD = 1.07, freshman to senior recorded as 1 to 4).

many alcoholic beverages that they said they consumed per week. The participants
had a mean age of of 20.43 (SD = 1.58). The variables in this study were how many

biggest economic crises of the past decade, there has been much growth and strength

growth and movement of the United States economy over the past year, it is still
perhaps one of the strongest economies in the world at the moment.
The rise and fall of GDP over a specific period of time is, in many cases, the number
one indicator for how the economy is doing. Being the output of final goods and
services, GDP works well with consumer confidence and provides a good idea as to
the general health of the economy. By looking at Figure 1, we can see that GDP
rose steeply after the 20008 2009 recession and has continued to remain strong with
relatively little movement since 2010. In the most recent quarters, 2014 and 2015,
GDP has declined a little, but the decline is in no way too drastic nor did it have any

Football, basketball, volleyball, and many more... these are all known as common
sports that people participate in. How many people were involved in sports during
high school or even now in college? What is it that makes it a sport? Is it the time
commitment? Well what about the competitiveness? We are all used to spending
hours and hours on end practicing and preparing for something whether that be a
game, a tournament, or a competition... We have all been there before. I started
dancing fourteen years ago, when I was just three years old. Growing up, some of
my friends always asked me why I wanted to be apart of something that wasn t
even considered a sport, but to me it was and it was the best thing I could have ever
been involved in. Anything that consists of countless hours of practicing and is
competitive should be considered a sport. The opinions on this topic are endless, but
I m going to discuss three reasons why I believe dance should be considered a sport.
Dancers practice just as much, if not more than other sports, they compete against
other teams, and dancers act like a family to one another. Although dance is known

experiences this sort of pain in her boarding school. In this story, the main
character is being tormented by students and staff because of her black, stained
hands. Her hands are this way because, she is the dyer s daughter and wants to
make ends so she can afford to go to school. When fellow classmates and the
Principal of Wang Yaming criticized her for her hands, it made depictions of how
people will treat you unfairly because of your flaws. Judgment towards someone
