Abstract
Students conducted research relating to mechanisms of coexistence within a forest
that is dominated by sugar maple (Acer saccharum) compared to beech (Fagus
grandifolia). The objective of the study was to test three hypotheses relating to
competition within trees, maintenance along with regeneration of sugar maple and
beech within Warren Woods, located in Michigan, IL. The first evaluated whether or
not highly despotic forms of lottery completion was present, in which a few trees
ever achieve canopy. Second, in response to competition, canopy trees were
evaluated in terms of being uniformly or randomly distributed within their unique
environment. Third, evidence of tradeoffs as both types of trees make their way up
to a canopy was assessed. From the plots established and analyzing through density
and frequency, students examined that sugar maple was more abundant, viewed in
large fractions among the sub canopy classes. Beech may have had a lower
frequency, yet it had a higher density in Warren Woods. Evidence suggested that there
was a lottery competition taking place in the forest, as seen by the number of
seedlings being higher than saplings, which are greater than sub canopies, which are
greater than canopies. The evaluation of the understory environment determined that
a mechanism of coexistence, between both species, was evident since the number of

Writing, according to the students, is a secondary in comparison to how the other
skills are thaught such as reading and listening. The students view writing in ELI a
subordinate skill that is used to practice vocabulary and grammar with limited
attention put on the writing skill per se. It is used to reinforce vocabulary items
taught in the reading, practice grammatical rules, and recompose correct sentence
structure containing the topic assigned. Teachers expressed that writing is a sub

I have provided detail on consideration of independence and objectivity, based on
guidance from the International Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). I have also
charted steps should taken by TechNet to ensure the internal auditdepartment s

The Institute of internal Auditors (IIA) defines independence as the freedom from
conditions that threaten the ability of the internal audit activity to carry out internal

IIA defines objectivity as
An unbiased mental attitude that allows internal auditors to perform engagements in
such a manner that they believe in their work product and that no quality
compromises are made.
The internal audit department at TechNet is in compliance with the IIA s
International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Attribute
Standards 1100 of the IIA require that the internal audit activity must be independent,
and internal auditors must be objective in performing their work.
Independence refers to the liberty of the internal auditor to carry out activities in an
unbiased manner.
Objectivity refers to an unbiased mental attitude of the internal auditor without
subordinating their judgement (findings) to others.

As a product of colonization, the limited industrial development in the colonized area
is a global issue. Because the widening gap between the rich and the poor between
developing and developed countries, is the root reason of most of the contradictions
and conflicts between countries in the contemporary world. And different level of
industrialization caused the widening gap. So we can say the limited industrial
development caused by colonialism is a real issue behind many current contradictions
and conflicts. In order to reduce these conflicts and narrow the gap, the colonized
countries should make a breakthrough on its limited industrialization by focusing on
its own features resources and structures, and taking effective measures impoting
foreign capital and technology and establishing independent or joint scientific
research and ventures, to gain a long term economic growth. For the relation between
