Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1968 by Linda and Millard Fuller to fulfill their vision of Christian service through providing affordable housing. The nonprofit's mission is to demonstrate Jesus' love by promoting dignity, hope, shelter, and sustainable development while advocating for affordable housing. Since 1974, Habitat for Humanity has helped over 750,000 families through home repairs or building new homes, serving over 2 million people worldwide and receiving $312.8 million in donations in 2013 alone.
