6. Use H2020
 Consider H2020 as part of your overall research funding
strategy – medium term results – combine with shorter-
term projects – ideally linking / showing progression
 Be realistic – success rates can be low (depending on call
1:30 – 1:4)
 Perseverance is key - resubmit – ESR is very valuable –
address the comments of the evaluators
 Take a long term view (3-4 years) – dip your toe as a
partner – progress to a WPL – and then (maybe!) a
coordinator role
 It has worked for companies!
