    readers.
   They developed a
    comprehensive
    framework for
    Teaching
    Comprehension,
    Genre, and Content
    Literacy.
TEACHING COMPREHENSION, GENRE, AND CONTENT LITERACY
WHAT IS GUIDED READING?
   It is an instructional reading
    strategy that helps students
    become good/great readers.
   This method focuses on helping
    students work on any literacy
    area they might struggle with.
   The teacher works will small
    groups of students that have
    similar deficiencies in the areas.
   The areas that the teacher
    works with are:
        Word Work
        Guided Reading
        Comprehension
