This document discusses principles of agrarian urbanism and designing communities around growing food. It proposes a classification system called the "Transect" that arranges elements from rural to urban. It also presents four agricultural models including urban agriculture, agricultural urbanism, and agrarian urbanism where the entire society is involved in food production and consumption. Guidelines are provided for incorporating agriculture into urban planning, including dedicating 1/3 of land to production and having all households participate. Examples of existing and potential communities using these principles are also described.
