Taking a fresh approach with MVP and taking it back to the original meaning, fast iterating with fast feedback loop. From our Feb 2016 BuildDirect talk.
What is a concierge MVP? It's a minimum viable product that involves manually solving the customer’s problem. De-risk your new business idea and avoid the need to develop too much product upfront by utilizing the concierge MVP experimentation model.
This is a talk I gave for Lean Startup Machine Austin on September 28, 2013 at Capital Factory.
Are you ready to build an MVP? Where do you start? How do you know what features to build? How do you know how many people you need to build it? How do you know that they are building a right thing in a right way? This presentation and conversation will explore strategies for assembling effective teams for building and deploying an MVP while incurring minimal Product and Technical Debt. We will also discuss implementing an effective process to make sure that your MVP will be built on time and on target.
Why is my MVP a POC (ProductCamp Vancouver 2015)Jan Carter
Is my Minimum Viable Product (MVP) too minimal? Is it just a Proof of Concept (POC)?
From the ProductCamp Vancouver 2015 session, this interactive session is a mix of presentation slides and whiteboard activity.
Closing the Deal: How Atlassian Partners Help Grow Your User BaseAtlassian
Solution Partners deliver and implement customer solutions through consulting, sales, and technical services for Atlassian products. They should be an integral part of your add-on marketing strategy. In this talk, you’ll learn how to reach these influential partners and how best to get your product in front of their customers.
A few years ago, Brikit decided to leverage the Atlassian Solution Partners to drive additional customer reach and revenue. Darryl Duke, Brikit CEO and Founder, worked closely over several months with Steve Cross, Americas Channel Manager, to share ideas, structure an approach for Brikit, and build a go-to-market strategy for Partner acquisition and conversion.
Brikit then implemented a Partner Program that now drives 45-50% of product revenue through Atlassian Solution Partners. Come and find out how they did it, what were the wins, and more importantly, the pitfalls along the way.

The Minimum Loveable Product: Go Beyond the Minimum Viable ProductDialexa
Minimum Viable Products (MVP) rarely make "good" products. We discuss an alternative: the Minimum Loveable Product. In the world of platform engineering, coordinating your software (and perhaps hardware teams) to deliver a valuable product that your target audience will use is critical to success.

Practical Experience with Christensen's Innovation Methodology JOBS(R) Jobs-t...vonreventlow
Clayton Christensen's Jobs-to-be-done approach describe a series of steps to create innovation systematically. This deck describes the application of the methodology to the creation of the Avaya Flare User Experience, the Avaya Digital Video Device and the related enterprise cloud offer. We found key for success is to add focus on emotions. And the result to be a condensed job description as more work is required to detail the solutions that it becomes testable against objectives and barriers.
This is the version of my talk, Be a Great Product Leader, given at Zynga on Feb 22, 2016. It includes six lessons on product leadership from my time at eBay & LinkedIn.

The Nuts and Bolts of Teams, Groups and Conversation as-a-ServiceChristian Buckley
Within Office 365, we have multiple methods for social collaboration. Organizations around the world are struggling to understand which tool to use when -- but this is the wrong premise. In this session, we'll discuss the broader concept of 'conversation as a service' and how Microsoft Teams, Outlook Groups, Yammer, and SharePoint all fit together -- and show you how to get the most out of all of them.
Uniting product development, business strategy, and agile software practices.
Covers thinking about product development wholistically from a customer-first perspective. Suggests good principles for established companies and boostrappers.
There’s a startup product metaphor that bugs me. Your product is a rocket, and if your targeting at launch is 1% off — you miss the moon by 4,000 miles! The thing is products, rockets and targeting don’t work that way. I have resorted to a cartoon to explain. This cartoon complements a longer post on LinkedIn on Continuous Alignment of Product Management. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/continuous-alignment-product-management-ross-mayfield
Are you using agile practices but struggling? If so, you are not alone. Experienced agile practitioners know that some practices are more difficult than others, and most need tuning over time. If you are looking for ways to get more value or improve your skills, this session will pass your acceptance tests. David Hussman shares his coaching tools for improving and tuning practices including product planning, roadmapping, story writing, planning sessions, and stand up meetings. David divides the journey to deliver value into four essential areas: growing community and vision, planning releases and iterative delivery, delivering value, and continuing to improve and learn. For each area, David shares tools for evaluating the value you are receiving relative to the ceremony you are using. If your stand up lacks value or energy, learn new ideas for truly getting value instead of merely meeting and standing; standing is the easiest part.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
