 Managed 24/7 250 person low-barrier Harm Reduction shelter serving chronically homeless
with severe and persistent mental health barriers.

 Ensured registration of clients is carried out and documented according to agency policies.
 Coordinated screening and assessment of client referrals.
 Maintained composure and sense of responsibility during high stress and emergency/crisis
situations, and employed conflict resolution and interpersonal skills for positive outcomes as
needed.
 Built rapport with a diverse group of clients in a positive and boundary appropriate manner,
utilizing active listening and motivational interviewing skills.
 Assisted clients with wide variety of disabling conditions and levels of vulnerability with
empathy and compassion.
 Ensured adequate coverage of all areas and completion of task shifts, including applying
flexible coverage to stations as needed.
 Managed staff of 6-9 full-time and on-call employees.

Chemical DependencyScreener (February2015 to present)
 Served as driver for Emergency Service Patrol in the downtown core of Seattle to outreach
and engage chronic alcoholics to encourage utilization of county-run detox shelter.
 Locate and perform preliminary assessment of intoxicated individuals utilizing a Harm
Reduction model.
 Worked in conjunction with Seattle Police and Fire as an emergency services provider.
 Drove a 15 passenger van in an urban setting, patrolling areas in search of intoxicated
persons.
 Answered 911 dispatch calls on a two-way radio.
 Maintained updated logbook.
