Continous
Present simple
We use the Present simple to talk about things in general. We use it to say that
something happens all the time or repeatedly, or that something is true in general.
-Affirmative form: I/WE/YOU/THEY GO
HE/SHE/IT GOES
Example: It rains a lot in Winter
-Negative form: I/WE/YOU/THEY DO NOT (DON´T) GO
HE/SHE/IT DOES NOT (DOESN´T) GO
Example: It does not rain a lot in Winter
-Interrogative form: DO I/WE/YOU/THEY GO?
DOES HE/SHE/IT GO?
Example: Does she like the rainbow?
Yes, she likes / No, she does not like

Present continuous
We use the Present continuous for things happening at or around the time of speaking
and for temporary situations.
-Affirmative form: I AM
YOU, YOU, WE, THEY ARE +VERB –ING
HE, SHE, IT IS
Example: It is rainig hard today.
-Negative form: I AM NOT
YOU, YOU, WE, THEY ARE NOT +VERB –ING
HE, SHE, IT IS NOT (ISN´T)
Example: At the momento, it is not snowing.
-Interrogative form: AM I
ARE YOU +VERB -ING
IS HE/SHE/IT
ARE WE/YOU/THEY
Example: Is it snowing today?
Yes, it is snowing / No, it is not snowing
