Helping verbs work with the main verb and include verbs like could, can, must. Linking verbs connect the subject to a predicate noun or adjective like feel, seem, appear. Verbs can also be categorized by tense, with present tense verbs expressing current actions, past tense verbs expressing past actions, and future tense verbs expressing future actions.
