Identity In The Kite Runner
Afghanistan is a multi ethnic country and it foregrounds its belief and tradition based on kinship
and familial love. The culture of Afghanistan starts from their tribal communities. These
communities formed their own ethnic identity and as its outcome the society has various ethnic
communities. The hierarchy of afghan society is rooted on the ethnic differences. A country s
glorification is known by its distinct identity and through their values on religion, culture and

Screwtape Letters Themes
The Screwtape Letters is a novel that s written in an epistolary and satirical style. The novel is
comprised of letters that s written from the perspective of a senior demon named Screwtape to
his nephew, Wormwood, who is a less experienced demon. Screwtape is trying to mentor him
through a series of letters since Wormwood is trying to guide a human toward Our Father Below
from the Enemy . According to The New Yorker, For believers, the letters are theology in
reverse, teaching the love of God through the wiles of the Devil, but for all readers, regardless of
belief, the letters frame human experience as a familiar sequence of trials..... Justice Scalia, , also
said that s a great book. It really is, just as a study of human nature . Love is an important theme in
The Screwtape Letters. Screwtape fails to fully comprehend God s love for man, which he
understands as real but irrational. C.S. Lewis mentions that love is vital for human civilization but
that we can t let love replace other human qualities. In the story, Lewis put forth the idea through
the protagonist in the story, Screwtape, that human love is selfish and that divine love is faithful.
Lewis implies that we shouldn t fully rely on as well as love imperfect things. He says that he
wants people to lessen their love with other emotions and ethics such as respect and loyalty. He...

Jewish Virtual Library ( Bard, 1998 )
Introduction
Israel is sought and acknowledged by many people for its religious tides. In this paper the readers
will gain extensive knowledge of Israel s history. In addition, readers will gain information on the
challenges that impact the way business is conducted in Israel through current culture and political
environments, business ethics, and corruption. As well as, trading, Free TradeAgreements, and
trends.
Historical Background
The country of Israel was founded in early 1948 (Bard, 1998). Israel is currently, the only Jewish
state in the world and was recently ranked by US News and World Reports, as the 8th most
powerful country in the world in 2015 as stated in article Jewish virtual library (Bard, 1998). Israel
has a terrain which consists of mostly mountains, plains, coasts, and desert. The country has a
population of about 7.59 million citizens with an annual population growth rate of (2009 est.):
1.7% (Background notes on countries of the world: Israel, 2010). Since the 1980 s, Israel began to
earn a sufficient amount of wealth from the country s natural resources in fertilizers and pesticides,
petrochemicals and plastics. Unfortunately for Israel, every good thing eventually comes to an end.
While the country has had a lot of natural resources in the past, the country began to see more
pollution and a steady decline in the country s resources in the year 2012. As mentioned in the

Waltz on the Danube Essay
Waltz on the Danube Executive Summary The purpose of this case is to establish the viability of
the ВЂ75 million shopping center project located along the Danube River in the city of Gyor. As
the director of Hungarian operations for ECE Projektmanagement Dr. Philipp von Wilmowsky had
worked for two years on the 30,300 square meter shopping center. So while Gyor lack significant a
shopping center thus creating a site that had great potential there were several major questions that
would define the success of the project. The question that transcends the project is whether equity
investors be sufficiently rewarded to justify there financing interests. The answer to this question is
dependent on several factors including the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So while the growth potential facilitates opportunity, the lower income per capital must be
recovered through greater reach. Lower levels of development and therefore less competition
makes this possible but is a major question mark of whether the market in Gyor will support the
development project. The success of the 2002 opening of a suburban mall near Budapest would
be supportive the viability of the potential market in Gyor. Based on the location, the economic
factors, and the demographics of the area, Gyor would also be the next logical site for ECE to
expand. The development project therefore makes sense in Gyor, providing a strong investment
opportunity to add value to the company. Are rents adequate to support this development? The
tenant structure of the shopping center is an important factor in ensuring rent is adequate to make
the project viable. The fact that Philipp conceded the hypermarket could have a negative effect
on the overriding success of the project. ECE strategy typically relied on these large self service
retail stores. Hypermarkets are very desirable to customers since the warehouse structure enable
the stores to offer a wide variety of products (i.e. fresh food, beverages, home supplies, electronics,
clothing, car accessories, garden furniture etc.) at discounted prices. This lack of a hypermarket

Harry Potter Vs Gandaulf Research Paper
Harry vs. Frodo, Ron vs. Sam, Sirius vs. Aragorn. In Harry Potter vs. Lord if the rings there are
many comparisons but the most controversial one is Dumbledore vs. Gandalf. Both are wizards,
both are mentors, both are very powerful, both are very wise, and run the show when they are
around, but by the end of this paper you will learn that one is better than the other and that Is
Dumbledore. Let start with the basics, as I stated they are both wizards. The biggest differences
between the two are that Dumbledore lives about one hundred fifteen years before his planned
death while Gandalf is practically a god of sorts and lives two thousand plus years before sailing
off in a ship never to be seen again. But what matters is that in Dumbledore s one hundred fifteen
or so years he acquired more power among the people and more knowledge than Gandalf did in his
two thousand something years. This comes to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the whole series Gandalf is foiling the dark lord s plans and keeping Harry safe. In
the last part of the series when Harry takes Snape s tears to the pensive you get a really good
look at just how much Dumbledore knows. He even knew that Malfoy would be sent to kill him
but it would be better in the long run if Snape did it, he also knew that in the end Harry would
have to die so that the part of Voldemort that lived inside of him could die. Dumbledore knew it
all. Gandalf was very intelligent he was even said to be the wisest of the Maiar. But throughout
the series he relies on luck, brute power, and old connections to defeat Sauron. In the movies he
never really seemed to know exactly what was going to happen in order for his forces to beat the
orcs and other nasty creatures fighting for Sauron. He did know that he had to keep the attention
on the war in order for Frodo to have enough time to get the ring into the mountain of doom I ll

Theme Of Motifs In The Canterbury Tales
In The Canterbury Tales there are four main genre motifs that many of the tales share. These
‎‎ genre motifs repeat themselves in the telling of a tale and allow one to classify the tales
‎according to where their plot fits best. The author, Geoffrey Chaucer, does this to show
‎something important about The Canterbury Tales and give some of his insight of the things he
‎believed in at that time. One of the main genre motifs that many tales share is the moral
‎behavior motif. Tales that are part of this motif are related to the ideals of Christianity and
how ‎people in the tale behave. Both in the Pardoner s tale and the Friar s tale, the tales show
the ‎motif of moral behavior as they revolve around characters that break some ideals of
Christianity ‎by taking part in some immoral behavior.‎... Show more content on

The Pardoner s tale clearly exemplifies the motif of moral behavior ‎as one of the seven deadly
sins, greed, is what drives the three men to kill each other. In the ‎Pardoner s prologue it even
states that radix malorum est cupiditas , meaning the love of ‎money is the root of all evil . The
statement that money is the root of evil then becomes the moral ‎of the story and shows how
greed led the men to do an immoral thing. However, even after the ‎tale ends one can still see
that the motif of moral behavior is still a part in the tale because the ‎Pardoner tries to sell his
relics. The pardoner knows that the relics are not real but his love for ‎money drives him to
want to do anything he can, including tricking his fellow friends, to buying ‎relics. Therefore,
an irony takes place because although the Pardoner warns that the love of ‎money is the root of
all evil, he himself commits and immoral things due to his love of wealth.

Reggae Music s Influence On American Culture
Reggae Music
Music itself is often times a strong indicator of a society s culture, history, and beliefs. Sometimes
however, when another group listens to one society s music they also make connections to lyrics,
sounds, and melodies that were put into the song. This is very much the case with Reggae music as
not only did it take off in Jamaica, its country of origin, but the United States and parts of Europe
as well. Jamaicans viewed music as a way to pass down traditions and as a way to pass through
difficult times. Reggae music often times discusses the suffering of the Jamaican people in its
lyrics. Reggae developed from preceding styles of music like Ska and Rocksteady and the name

It is in the style of Reggae music, but doesn t sound to the listener to be from any specific event

upbeat and easy going feel to them put people into a relaxed state. As stated before other groups
began to be incorporated in the music and to make it their own. Over time this changes and

As we know, Frankenstein; or the Modern Prometheus was first published anonymously because
of the prejudices about the females, and it was immediately assumed that it was written by a man
(Bloom, 2008, p.29). Here in this novel, Shelley included a lot of things from her personal life, she
pointed here also her political view and her impression about her own travels (Bloom, 2008, p.44).
Mary had a lot similarities with her mother Mary Wollstonecraft in different aspects but also in the

Light And Darkness In Toni Morrison s Beloved
Hope in the face of difficulty. Hope in the face of uncertainty. The audacity of hope! A belief in
things not seen. A belief that there are better days ahead. President Obama s 2004 keynote speech
gives a timeless message of hope, which especially resonates with minorities who face an uncertain
future. Similarly, in her novel Beloved, Toni Morrison demonstrates through the relationship
between darkness and light that hope gives the oppressed a sense of purpose and the strength to
overcome persecution. The contrast between light and darkness is prominent throughout the novel
and parallels the polar opposites of hope and despair. The relationship between good and evil is the
most basic example of this symbolism. Denver is persistent... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Schoolteacher strips the slaves of their humanity when he and his boys [come] in... and [take]
[Sethe s] milk. [Hold] [her] down and [take] it (Morrison 19). They treat the slaves like savage
animals, which have no place in society. The abuse and violence that Sethe endures makes her feel
inferior and unworthy of respectful treatment. This darkness can only be resolved by Sethe
focusing on her light, i.e. towards emancipation. Another mechanism of this dehumanization is
when the African American slaves overhear Schoolteacher reducing their human identity to
monetary value. The white slave master talks about the slaves as a matter of price... [and]
property that reproduce[s] itself without cost (Morrison 228). The continuous talk of slaves being
property causes members of Sweet Home, like Paul D, to think of himself as a commodity rather
than a human individual. This is key because dehumanization operates both internally and
externally; Schoolteacher abuses the slaves so much that they may begin to believe that are just
material objects. This eventually motivates Paul D to find his light and escape; he then travels as
a nomad before making it Ohio, where he can live a life free of

by the dominance of three brewers, which I will talk about in this paper. There are many factors
today that make the beer industryan oligopoly. Such factors include various advancements in
technology (packaging, shipping and production), takeovers and mergers, economies of scale,
barriers to entry, high concentration, and many other factors that I will cover in this paper. Over
the course of the paper I will try to define an oligopoly, give a brief history of the brewing industry,

By 1980 Anheuser Busch, Miller Brewing, Pabst, and Stroh s were the main four that made up
nearly 80% of the market. By the mid nineties it was down to three major players: Coors, Miller,

agriculture, and other businesses who depend on brewing. The American brewing industry employs
approximately 1.66 million Americans today. There are generally three tiers of beer suppliers in the
United States: domestic giants like Anheuser Busch and Miller, importers, and craft brewers.
The Beer Industry Today In this paper I will be talking about the U.S. beer industry and in short
an overview of the brewing industry worldwide. I will talk about the barriers to entry, economies

Anheuser Busch currently owns over 50% of the market in the United States, with Miller trailing

Bisphenol A in polycarbonate is not a Serious Hazard to...
Is the Bisphenol A in polycarbonate a serious hazard to human health?
Abstract: Polycarbonate, which is a polymer plastic, is found in many bottles and food packaging
around the world. However, because Bisphenol A is used in the processing of it, there is a
potential danger to humans. Bisphenol A is a molecule that is a hormone inhibitor and also mirrors
the function of estrogen. Although the EPA has released a safe level for Bisphenol Aingestion,
recent research has shown that those levels may not be safe for humans. Until further testing is
done, scientists aren t certain of the threshold of BPA intake in humans before dangerous health

Three million tons of this hazardous polymer is produced yearly1. At room temperature, it is a

Origins of C
What are C and OOP?
C is an advanced, high level programming language ( Computer languages ) that is used to develop
powerful applications for MicrosoftВ® WindowsВ®, many Linux environments, and other well
known and widely used operating systems. C is quickly becoming the standard language for
commercial software development (Oualline).
OOP, an abbreviation for objectoriented programming is simply code that attempts to place a new
layer of abstraction between the programmer and the data he is working with ... this layer will help
the programmer develop better code more quickly than he could do before. (McHale). OOP

The first implementation arose in 1958 and quickly became the standard for expressing algorithms.
Algol was most widely used in the academic community, which thusly led to its widespread usage.
P: begin integer h, i; real array A[1:5], B[1:5, 1:2]; for i := 1 step 1 until 5 do
A[I] := 6 i; h := 1
Loop: if h *= 5 then begin B[h,1] := 1;
B[h,2] := 5 + 3 * (h A[h]); h := h + 1; go to Loop end end P
(Parsons)
The similarity between such modern languages as Pascal and Modula 2 and Algol proves it
influential to the programming community, even today. Algol also introduced the concept of free
format, a concept that allows programmers to arrange the code any way they want (assuming the
syntax is correct) (Parsons). This concept proves itself useful today in making source code easier to
read and eliminating the problem of spaghetti code (code written in an unreadable fashion, or strung
together as spaghetti is).
Simula67
Simula67 was developed by the Norwegian armed forces (Kristen Nygaard and Ole Johan Dahl
at the Norwegian Computer Center) and was the first of its kind to use classes (as class is
defined by a program unit containing both data and associated functions ) (Overland, 3). Its

Positive Reflection On Divorce
Linda is a 36 year old newly divorced woman. Her early childhood experiences include her parents
divorce. Due to her parents divorce and the following feelings of pressure to conform and agree to
each parent, Linda has developed strong beliefs about her life, particularly her marriage. These are
expressed through Linda s dislike of divorceand her desire to keep her children happy and
innocent, Linda feels that she has failed in both cases and feels guilty and responsible for failing .
However, Linda did admit that her mothers general disapproval and opinion that Linda was to
blame for the divorce may have influenced her thoughts. Due to the sudden divorced her
(ex)husband has imposed, Linda feels very confused and alone, and she has furthered that by
sending her children away and not clearing things with her husband. Linda also does not know how
to move forward in her life, and is hesitant to do anything if it may affect her children. As a result,
Linda is very confused and mildly frustrated with the situation. Linda recognises that her memories
and previous feelings about parents divorce may also be effecting her thoughts and feelings
currently.
In reviewing my practice, I can see that I used several skills very well, in particular the use of
empathetic silences and positive reflection.
An example of the positive reflection is when the client described how her mother was less
supportive and blamed the client for the divorce, in response I said:
On the other hand, at least, your father, it sounds like he was very positive and supportive of you,
like her would be there for you...? (17:58). Linda response was Yeah, he was pretty great, and we
just talked about the future, and what I was going to do with my kids . Later in the practice (7:08)
after the client expressed feelings of helplessness, I asked her As you said, you ve been through
something similar, did you pick up an activities that helped? in response she talked about drawing
and about her friends being supportive. I used empathetic silences regularly throughout the
practice, especially in the beginning of the video from 00:41 3:33 where I allowed the client to
talk introduce her original reason for coming, and again at 10:00 to 10:50,

Gilgamesh Is A Hero
Since long ago, people carried an image of what it means to be a hero. It is evident in some great
books one might even say. As in The Epic of Gilgamesh, Antigone, and The Iliad, heroism is
displayed and exalted, but what does being a hero mean? Overarchingly, in regards to these works,
the heroes earn their titles as heroes by notably doing what is right when the time is right, with
humane purpose, and an everlasting message. However, Gilgamesh, Antigone, and Akhilleus, being
different in their purposes, everlasting messages, type of heroism as whole, can not compare in
regards to heroic status.

At the end of the epic, after his epiphany, Gilgamesh returns to his kingdom, able to rule as a true
leader, respecting his people, and his people respecting him. Gilgamesh displays this growth at
the end of the Epic as he admires his city, Survey its foundations, examine the brickwork! , Did
the Seven Sages not lay its foundations? (Gilgamesh 11.324,236) This was his act of of good.
Realising what it takes to rule his kingdom, not like a tyrant, was what his message was. What truly
made Gilgamesh a hero was his transformation from being a tyrant to a good king. Gilgamesh lived
on through the foundations of his Kingdom, in a way, making him mortal. As people continue to
study the epic, one might even suggest Gilgamesh obtained immortality as being remembered a
hero.
Antigone too was a hero, however, in a different way. While displayed a message, she did good,
and had purpose, it was all slightly different than Gilgamesh. Antigone stood against the King,
Creon, her uncle, who ruled tyrannically. With this, her message shared some parallel to
Gilgamesh, suggesting that if a Tyrant is in power, change is needed. She criticized her uncle
for not being a king of the people, as he made it illegal to bury one of her brothers. Despite Creon
being king, she expressed, But he s no right to keep me from what s mine (Antigone line 60).
Antigone actively expresses that being a king does not give one absolute right over every person.

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Electric Cars
Recently, I gave a research proposal, the main topic of which was the conservation of natural
resources by the introduction of automobiles running not on fossil fuels, but on electricity. My
research will deal with the advantages and working of all electric vehicles in detail and will
justify how they are a lot beneficial and how they play a great role in reducing the consumption
of natural resources and pollution. One source I am considering for my research is an article
titled Building Better Batteries for Electric Cars by Jim Witkin which was published in The New
York Times on March 30, 2011. However, I have yet to evaluate the sources and verify that it is
credible enough to be used in my research.
Author s Credentials The author of the article, Jim Witkin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It merely discusses about one aspect of electric cars: The battery. Unfortunately, it does not discuss
the advantages of all electric cars in much detail. Therefore, other sources might also be considered
during my research, which fully explain the advantages and disadvantages of all electric cars.
Writing Style The author uses easy to understand vocabulary. Moreover, he clearly explains the
mechanism and working. Moreover, he also explains some technological aspects by citing the
quotations of various experts. For example: Compared with the nickel metal hydride battery used in
the Toyota Prius, for example, a lithium ion batteryof the same weight and volume would increase
energy density two to three times, said Dr. Srinivasan. Due to his easy to interpret vocabulary, his
article gains credibility in my research.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that source is credible, because of an experienced author, a well known
newspaper, recent publishing date and the writing style. But I may also have to consider other
sources mainly because it does not explain all my

The Importance Of Psychological Awareness In Raymond...
Psychological Awareness What do you think of when you think of the 80 s? Girls dressed in
bright neon clothes that had shoulder pads and leg warmers, with hair teased so high it didn t
look natural, and wearing bright blue or pink eyeshadow? Or maybe boys in all denim, pinned to
look tight jeans with an oversized denim jacket? It was a time for fashion and music to thrive. It
was completely normal to be all about me in the 80 s. Raymond Carvers Cathedral was written in
1983, and the narrator is very self absorbed and insular. This coincides with the ambience of the
time period, reflecting the majority of society. The narrator s wife has an old friend, who
happens to be blind. His wife has just died, so he is going to stay with the narrator and his wife
for a bit. The narrator is very passive aggressive towards him and even pulls childish pranks on
him. Eventually the two are left alone and the narrator realizes how narrow minded he has been
his entire life. In Carver s Cathedral, the narrator s lack of social depth and tolerance for others
mimics that of the societal norm, which reverses when his wife s blind friend, Robert, strains the
narrator s mentality.
The narrator is a characterized representation of society, and how society can change when
immersed in deviant lifestyles. According to Kirk Nesset (1994), Still, Carver implies, it is through
our collaboration with others that we free ourselves from the slavery of self absorption (para 30).

Flyer Research Papers
The very first motorized aircraft, made by the Wright brothers and named Flyer I, was a brilliant
vehicle and was the dawn of airplane travel. Since its final flight in 1903, there have been many
different versions of the airplane (which evolved faster than any other mode of travel, which is
due to warfare, as WWI came quickly after its development), all of them for advanced (and safer)
than the Flyer I, however, none of those come first so the Wright brother s plane wins. It contained
an engine that was the first of its time, a wing design that was efficient and effective, and an
interesting control system. The Flyer I was not without faults, though. In fact, it had many. On the
other hand, it had many successes over its flight. The wing design was both innovative and
effective, making it tremendous for the first ever motorized flight. For... Show more content on

For instance, it was the very first aircraft to use in a aluminum crankcase (a covering over a
crankshaft). Later on, aluminum became commonly used in aircrafts due to its light weight. The
very simple engine produced 12 horsepower, despite not having a fuel pump, carburetor (a
device used in an engine that is used to combine air with liquid fuel), or spark plugs (a device that
burns the air/liquid fuel mixture made by the carburetor). Gasoline was gravity fed into the engine
from a quart and a half tank that was mounted on a wing strut of an upper wing. From there, the
gasoline fell into a chamber next to the cylinders (a piston chamber in a combustion/steam engine)
and mixed with air. The crankcase would then vaporize the gasoline/air mixture and the mixture
would pass into the cylinders. Now that the mixture was in the cylinders, the plane could be started
and clone, but to start the engine initially, the Wright brothers had to use a coil and four dry cell
batteries that were not kept on the

Animals can Change Our Lives
Changes in our world is normal, sometimes they can make a big change. Pets can change our

The Elderly Population
In the beginning, when I began brainstorming about this competency I felt as if it was a demand
need for everyone to be aware about. I have seen individuals being decline of services for a
variety of reasons, and it makes earning those services harder when they aren t within personal
reach. I witnessed this during my placement, as well as my personal life. During my placement, I
realized that the elderly population still often have the chance to be denied for services, support
and have their rights being acknowledged. There are several things that I know about this
competency while interning at Lutheran Social Services. Oppression and discrimination
happens in a range of ways and sometimes it doesn t exactly present itself as those actions.
Elderly still have a voice to advocate for their needs, but sometimes I feel as if it can be taken
less seriously compared to other populations. Therefore, we have to engage in understanding
what we have to do by taking action in a political sense where we have to put others needs and
advocate what we believe in for those to get proper rights as well. Overall, if someone needs aren
t being addressed, we must empower them to help serve them to give them justice as well. In my
activities I have participated in different ways of seeing how this relates to my placement
throughout my two semesters through my reflection logs. In my Reflection Log during January I

The Stock Market Is Important For Success Or Failure Essay
The stock market can be very risky and it can be intimidating to someone with no experience
dealing with stocks. However, with the right research and a lot of patience it is possible to be
successful, but it will not be without challenges. The stock market can be highly unpredictable and
can fluctuate at times for reasons we either do not understand or cannot see. Even with research and
planning investing in the stock marketis a risk, so it is better to approach it with the most
information possible. How well you understand stocks and the stock market can be key factors in
your success or failure.
The first thing a person starting out in stock market investments will need to research is
themselves. You will need to look closely at your financial situation and figure out not only how
much you can afford to invest, but how much you can afford to lose. While these two things
sound like they would be the same thing, they are not. Most people tend to think of investing as
making money, not losing it. However, it is possible that a person could lose everything that they
invested. The stock market crash in 1929 left many investors penniless and devastated
(Colombo). You have to research your finances and decide how much to invest with this type of
possibility in mind. The stock market is very unpredictable and the right research here can be the
difference between bouncing back after a loss and losing everything. You also need to figure out
what your goals are. If your goal is to

Bathymetry is the study of Floor Ocean. The earth is covered by 70.8% of water; this includes
oceans, lakes, and seas. Bathymetry is created to know information on water behavior for safety
when navigating on the surface or below the water. One of the methods being used today is the

The Differences Between Stocks And Bonds
First Personal Assignment
Americans have a lot of options when it comes to where they put their money. Two of these
options are stocks and bonds. This paper will serve as a discussion on the topic of the advantages
and the disadvantages of both stocks and bonds. This discourse will attempt to compare the
differences between stocks and bonds, as well as incorporating various advantages and
disadvantages to each investment. Some of the basic differences between a stock and a bond
include would be that stocks are normally issues by a company or corporation. Bonds, however,
can be issued by corporations and companies or they can be issued by the government. Stocks
can pose more of a risk because they pay their investors dividends, which are not always
guaranteed. The only way a bonds would not pay out dividends to its investors is if the company
or organization had to go bankrupt. Overall, there is more safety in bonds than what one would
receive with stocks.
Advantages of investing in stocks
One of the primary reasons why stock prices go up or down, is essentially, the profitability of the
company. LearninMarkets.com (2009) lists four advantages of investing in stocks. The first
advantage is compound interest. Compound interest is a miracle of the financial world. Compound
interest, when given time, helps your money grow faster and faster (learningmarkets.com, 2009,
pg.1). According to Herbert Mayo (2012), the definition of interest that compounds is the process

3.1Introduction to power and authority
As Weber suggested one of the way to understanding how organizations change was to study the

what is authority? Authority was defined as the probability of certain controls or the orders which

Patients with physical or mental disabilities should be sedated in order for them to get the proper
dental care that they need because they may not be able to cooperate during the procedure. As
stated by Dr.Bain, D.D.S, Patients with medical conditions such as Down s syndrome and cerebral
palsy may have physical limitations that keep them from sitting comfortably in the patient chair and
staying still during dental treatment. Patients with physical disabilities may have a hard time
remaining calm. The physical disability of the special needs patient may cause them to fidget and

mouth open for the dentist. In addition, patients that lack good communication skills may also have
a hard time cooperating with treatment because they are unable to communicate to the dental staff
or their caregiver any discomfort or pain they feel during treatment. This makes it harder for the
dentist to complete the treatment correctly because the patient may have a difficult time informing
their needs to the dentist or the assistant. As a result, the patient will not be able to cooperate with

How the Increase of R Certified Movies is Impacting American Society Imagine a family walks

a puddle or a bit of red makeup on an actor), frequent use of vulgar language, nudity, and clear and

the former certification system called the Hays Code. The Hays Code was implemented in 1930
and, while it may not be used anymore, inspired the Motion Picture Association of America s

Prescribed Pasture Burning
Fire! Most people are alarmed with that word. But fire is a major factor in allowing the
grasslands to exist. Native Americans used to burn prairies to get rid of all of the dead grass and
allow the new grass to grow for the bison to eat. Burning off grasslands in the spring permits the
grass to grow without being restricted by the old, dead grass. Fire also kills the parasites and flies
that bother the cattle in the summer. Invasive cedar trees overtake grasses and starve out good
native grasses. Other methods can be used to combat them but fire is the quickest and most
efficient. While pastureburning may seem harmful to some, it s an essential way to keep our
grasslands and prairies in working order. Native Americans used fire to

who plays the role of the non traditional hero, and Thorin Oakenshield, a strong minded dwarf who

His failure was a result of poor luck. It s stated on #41 that: ...at any rate, hobbits can move

out of dire situations. When the wood elves had taken the Company hostage, it was Bilbo who
snuck in and evaded the guards notice for over a week (#203), and then freed the dwarves from
the dungeon (#208). His small stature and his ring of invisibility are all factors that contribute to
Bilbo s stealth. And of course, it is Bilbo s ability to lead that was one of his greatest assets. He
was not much of a leader at first, but as we delved deeper, we soon learned that he is indeed
worthy of being deemed a leader. There are two quotes that prove this, found on page 204: ...and
they [the dwarves] all trusted Bilbo. Just what Gandalf had said would happen, you see. Perhaps

how the hobbit had rescued his companions from the spider... Bilbo inspired Thorin to not give
up, gained the trust of the dwarves, earned their respect, and proved his abilities to the mentor,
like a true leader. The reason Tolkien had Bilbo developed these skills was to prepare him for the
supreme ordeal (Smaug), and his journey back. It was necessary for Tolkien to carefully plan

German Women During The World War II
In the aftermath of World War II, German civilians become the target of hatred due to the
Holocaust. The mass rapes that happened to German women during the occupation of Berlin are
not remembered due to the hatred of the German population as a whole. In her diary A Woman in
Berlin, Anonymous catalogues her perspective of the mass rapes. In order to cope effectively with
the rapes and to survive, Anonymous manipulates her sexual assaults to become a method of
obtaining necessary goods because she, like other women, could not depend on men.
Anonymous exploits rape as a tool of survival in order to cope with her mass sexual assaults. After
the initial rape, the author describes herself as feeling numb, not with disgust, only cold... [and

common for rape survivors to have. While dealing with these strong emotions, some victims cannot

understands later on that drinking copious amounts would not aid her and she tries to better her
situation.

the role of the poet is conveyed as multifaceted as a range of subjects are discussed. Gray uses the
form of the Pindaric ode in order to establish the idea of the poet being... Show more content on

The ode was considered to create distance between the poet and the audience (Zionkowski,
pg334). This is conveyed through the emotional complexity of the ode. The ode works in the
genre of both eulogy, as the bard is in mourning, and exulting through the victory of the bard in
the end. However, the reader is unable to sympathise with the bard figure which creates a
distance between both reader and poet. The emotion is more than mourning. The poet is
mourning over the loss of his own community, the Welsh bards, and is the last of his kind. The
reader is unable to connect emotionally with the bard as the reader has not experienced this
type of loss. Thus distance is created, leading to the poet being isolated. This then aids in turning
the audience into a passive object much like Edward and his army is passive in the bard s
prophecy (Zionkowski, pg345). Thus, the role of the poet becomes one of distance from the
readership, placing the audience as being passive. Thus through the form, the role of the poet is
constructed. By placing themselves in a literary tradition, Thomson and Gray highlight a deep
lineage the poet has. The role of the poet, therefore, is part of a larger history and tradition.
Furthermore, Thomson is able to construct the role of the poet as being multifaceted as the freedom
of the Miltonic blank verse allows him to cover various subjects. The use of Pindaric ode creates
distance between the poet and reader. This is due to the deep emotional complexity of the subject
matter which the reader cannot sympathise with. Thus, the audience is kept at a distance, unable to
interact with the text. The poem is then only author centered (Zionkowski,

In 2004, seven eleven positioned itself as a leader not only of the convenience store sector but also
of Japan s retail industry as a whole.
Seven eleven Japan developed an extensive franchise network and performed a key role in the
daily operations of this network. The network included both company owned stores and 3th party
owned stores. To ensure efficiency, Seven eleven based its fundamental network expansion policy
on a market dominance strategy (you must see to what extent a product, brand, or firm controls a
product category in a given geographic area)
How did they achieve the market dominance strategy? Seven eleven Japan opened the majority of
its new stores in areas with existing clusters of stores.
This gave them 6 advantages: 1. Boosted distribution efficiency 2. Improved brand awareness 3.
Increased system efficiency 4. Enhanced efficiency of franchise support services 5. Improved
advertising efficiencies 6. Prevented competitors entrance into the dominant area
They implemented the pull strategy by offering its stores a choice from a set of 5000 stock
keeping units. Depending on the customers demand. This is a way to be responsive to the customer.
Besides products, they also began to offer services that the customer could obtain at its stores. Some
examples are: ticket sales, copiers, atm installation,...
To be even more responsiveness to the customers demand the orders can be made online by the

Avocado Research Paper
After you have enjoyed the delicious taste of an avocado, do not throw out the seed! You can grow
a beautiful houseplant or even your own tree by following these simple steps. First, wash the seed.
Second, dry it. Third, insert three toothpicks into its thickest part. Then fill a glass or empty jar with
water. After that, suspend the seedin the water with the pointed end up and the broad end down.
The water should cover about an inch of the seed. Next, put the glass in a warm place, but not in
direct sunlight. Add water when necessary to keep the bottom of the seed under water at all times.
In two to six weeks, you should see roots begin to grow. Furthermore, the seed will crack open, and
then a stem will emerge from the top. However, wait

Pros And Cons Of Bangsamoro
To our honourable adjudicators, competitive co debaters, guests, a pleasant morning to everyone.
Compromising peace agreements between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines
and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) may lead to betrayal. Betrayal, in a sense that
the ruling president, which is President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, might put the Bangsamoro people
s life in danger. We all know that President Duterte s decisions when it comes to these kinds of
problems are somewhat diversed. For instance, last November 3, 2016, President Duterte and
MNLF s leader Nur Misuari talked about a Pre Agreement with regards to peace talks. However,
the said agreement between MNLF was later on reclaimed last January 27, 2017, in which the
president said, If you give your territory... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

GKE1 Task 3 Essay
After Columbus mistakenly discovered the Americas in 1492, European countries were soon
setting out to establish themselves in this new world. Spain was first to establish itself in the new
world, using their powerful military and their navy. The new colonies were completely dictated
by the king of Spain, such one of his policies allowing colonists to use the native tribes for forced
labor. France was the second major power to establish itself. Their main focus was fur trapping and
fur trading. The French quickly learned to work with the Native Americans. The few French
settlers, who did come to America, were focused on fur trapping and trading. Because of this, most
French settlements were either military forts or trading posts. England... Show more content on

In 1763, the Kingdom of Great Britain had just become victorious over France in the French and
Indian War. This victory had come at a great cost, severely straining Britain s economy and banks.
Britain felt that the American Colonists should have to pay some on its debts since most of the
war was fought to protect the colonists. Britain soon began passing new taxes such as the Stamp
Act of 1765. Colonist thought that it was unfair that they were being taxed since they were not
allowed representation in British Parliament. For the following ten years, colonists began to
realize that they wanted complete independence from Britain. They issued the Declaration of
Independence in July of 1776 declaring themselves independent of Britain. The Colonies were
now at full scale war with the mother country of Britain. America did not have grand army like
Britain in the beginning and would often employ guerrilla tactics. These tactics often involved
ambushing the British soldiers, and then quickly retreating to safety before the British soldiers
could inflict too many casualties. Eventually America s army would grow and train. They would
be able to stand toe to toe with Britain, which was considered to have the strongest army in the
world at the time. In October of 1781, Britain would surrender after losing the siege of Yorktown.
By 1783, Britain and the American Colonies would sign the Treaty of Paris, ending the American
Revolution and recognizing America as a country on

Richard Branson s Influence On The Music Industry
Richard Branson (July 18, 1950 present) grew up in Surrey, England with his father, Edward James
Branson, and mother, Eve Branson. Throughout his entire life, he struggled with dyslexia which
caused him to drop out of school at age sixteen. Soon after that, he started a magazine called
Student, which, in order to support, he had to start Virgin Records. In 1984, fifteen years after the
start of Virgin Records, Virgin Atlantic was created. Unfortunately for Richard Branson
, Virgin
Records in 1993 had to be sold as it was slowly plummeting. Richard Branson recalls crying when
he sold it saying he remembers running down Ladbroke Grove, tears streaming down my face

Now, after roughly 47 years of being an entrepreneur, Richard Branson owns many more companies,
including Virgin Galactic, a space tourism company.
Richard Branson, mainly known for his companies, has also tried to break many world records
for publicity. On July 2, 1987, Per Lindstrand and Richard Branson boarded the Virgin Atlantic
Flyer which now resides in the Imperial War Museum in Duxford. On July 3, Lindstrand and
Branson found themselves in trouble as fog appeared over their landing site. As Lindstrand
bailed out, Branson, with little experience, was forced to fly the balloon alone. Before I go any
further, I would like to point out that the Virgin Atlantic Flyer was the largest hot air balloon
made so far. At around the size of a 21 story building, the Virgin Atlantic Flyer was a challenging
task to fly, even for an experienced balloonist like Lindstrand, but for Branson? Well, that must
have been entirely different. Forced to fly to the Irish Sea, the Flyer repeatedly dipped into

IGBT Essay
Very high power IGBTs
Ultra high power, high voltage, power electronics is on the verge of a new era. Two new power
semiconductor technologies, the high voltage IGBT are improving the performance, simplifying
the design and increasing the reliability of applications ranging from 100 s of KVA to many MVA.
In recent years, the performance of industrial power electronics for line voltages up to 600VAC has
advanced rapidly. Initially, improvements were made possible by the development of high current
isolated base darlington transistor modules. More recently, stunning improvements in IGBT
technology has driven performance to new levels while substantially reducing cost. Over the same
period, ultra high power, high voltage, applications ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In applications operating from AC line voltages of 600VAC and less, IGBTs with blocking voltage
ratings of up to 1400V have provided an efficient low cost means of constructing high performance
voltage source inverters. In higher voltage applications GTOs (Gate Turn Off thyristors) have been
used but their limited switching frequency of 300Hz or so, offers little advantage when compared
to other circuit topologies. Clearly, a higher performance, high power semiconductor device is
needed. Today, newly commercialized high voltage IGBTs with blocking voltages to 3300V
The HVIGBT (High Voltage IGBT) module is a logical extension of the technology used in
conventional IGBTs. Several technical challenges had to be overcome in order for these devices
to attain the desired characteristics. First, an IGBT chip with high blocking voltage, reasonably
low on state voltage, and sufficiently wide safe operating area had to be developed. In lower
voltage devices, a buffer layer structure (a.k.a. PT Punch Through) similar to a PIN diode (figure
1a) was found to be optimally effective for this purpose. The buffer layer in these devices was
formed as part of the epitaxial silicon wafer. Adapting this structure to a high voltage device
requires a very thick epitaxial layer which presents serious cost and yield problems. One way
around this problem is to use an NPT (Non Punch Through) structure (figure 1b) for the device.
The NPT structure does not have a buffer layer and is

Lululemon Analysis
Lululemon was founded by Chop Wilson in Vancouver, Canada in 1998. Lululemon itself is
described as a yoga inspired athletic apparel that is both for men and women. The company has
apparel for yoga, training, running and fashion. It has shaped the way people dress to go workout.
Society finds themselves purchasing consumer products for no reason. Lululemon is recognized for
its high quality and pricy products. They buy these things that fill a void they have inside of them.
But in the end they will keep wanting more. Consumers today have depended on money and how
consumption brings negative outcome behind materialism. In the essay Two Cheers for
Materialism by James B. Twitchell, he defines us American as materialists and how we are a nation
of consumers. While Lululemon is a popular consumer choice, many aspects influence the
consumption of such a product such as when Lululemon first started out, When I first came across
the brandand the expatiations it has for consumers.
When Lululemon first started out, it was only for women. Now they expanded their store and
brought in a men s section and a youth section for just girls. When you walk into Lululemon you
walk into a store that has a bunch of athletic wear. There is a Men s side and Women s side. You
walk into an atmospheric friendly place, the employees are very nice and helpful. Lululemon does
not advertise their product like Nike, Puma or any other athletic brand usually does with their
commercials and ads. They get

  • 23. The Importance Of Psychological Awareness In Raymond... Psychological Awareness What do you think of when you think of the 80 s? Girls dressed in bright neon clothes that had shoulder pads and leg warmers, with hair teased so high it didn t look natural, and wearing bright blue or pink eyeshadow? Or maybe boys in all denim, pinned to look tight jeans with an oversized denim jacket? It was a time for fashion and music to thrive. It was completely normal to be all about me in the 80 s. Raymond Carvers Cathedral was written in 1983, and the narrator is very self absorbed and insular. This coincides with the ambience of the time period, reflecting the majority of society. The narrator s wife has an old friend, who happens to be blind. His wife has just died, so he is going to stay with the narrator and his wife for a bit. The narrator is very passive aggressive towards him and even pulls childish pranks on him. Eventually the two are left alone and the narrator realizes how narrow minded he has been his entire life. In Carver s Cathedral, the narrator s lack of social depth and tolerance for others mimics that of the societal norm, which reverses when his wife s blind friend, Robert, strains the narrator s mentality. The narrator is a characterized representation of society, and how society can change when immersed in deviant lifestyles. According to Kirk Nesset (1994), Still, Carver implies, it is through our collaboration with others that we free ourselves from the slavery of self absorption (para 30). This means that ... Gasoline was gravity fed into the engine from a quart and a half tank that was mounted on a wing strut of an upper wing. From there, the gasoline fell into a chamber next to the cylinders (a piston chamber in a combustion/steam engine) and mixed with air. The crankcase would then vaporize the gasoline/air mixture and the mixture would pass into the cylinders. Now that the mixture was in the cylinders, the plane could be started and clone, but to start the engine initially, the Wright brothers had to use a coil and four dry cell batteries that were not kept on the ... Therefore, we have to engage in understanding what we have to do by taking action in a political sense where we have to put others needs and advocate what we believe in for those to get proper rights as well. Overall, if someone needs aren t being addressed, we must empower them to help serve them to give them justice as well. Even with research and planning investing in the stock marketis a risk, so it is better to approach it with the most information possible. How well you understand stocks and the stock market can be key factors in your success or failure. The first thing a person starting out in stock market investments will need to research is themselves. You will need to look closely at your financial situation and figure out not only how much you can afford to invest, but how much you can afford to lose. While these two things sound like they would be the same thing, they are not. Most people tend to think of investing as making money, not losing it. However, it is possible that a person could lose everything that they invested. The stock market crash in 1929 left many investors penniless and devastated (Colombo). You have to research your finances and decide how much to invest with this type of possibility in mind. Contrary to this, Gray establishes the role of the poet as one of isolation and being an outsider whilst expressing anxiety over the declining role of the poet, as seen in The Bard . To begin, this essay shall examine the forms used by the poets. Thomson makes of the Miltonic blank verse. By doing this, the role of the poet is conveyed as multifaceted as a range of subjects are discussed. Gray uses the form of the Pindaric ode in order to establish the idea of the poet being... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ode was considered to create distance between the poet and the audience (Zionkowski, pg334). This is conveyed through the emotional complexity of the ode. The ode works in the genre of both eulogy, as the bard is in mourning, and exulting through the victory of the bard in the end. However, the reader is unable to sympathise with the bard figure which creates a distance between both reader and poet. The emotion is more than mourning. The poet is mourning over the loss of his own community, the Welsh bards, and is the last of his kind. The reader is unable to connect emotionally with the bard as the reader has not experienced this type of loss. Thus distance is created, leading to the poet being isolated. This then aids in turning the audience into a passive object much like Edward and his army is passive in the bard s prophecy (Zionkowski, pg345). Thus, the role of the poet becomes one of distance from the readership, placing the audience as being passive. Thus through the form, the role of the poet is constructed. By placing themselves in a literary tradition, Thomson and Gray highlight a deep lineage the poet has. The role of the poet, therefore, is part of a larger history and tradition. Furthermore, Thomson is able to construct the role of the poet as being multifaceted as the freedom of the Miltonic blank verse allows him to cover various subjects. The use of Pindaric ode creates distance between the poet and reader. This is due to the deep emotional complexity of the subject matter which the reader cannot sympathise with. Then fill a glass or empty jar with water. After that, suspend the seedin the water with the pointed end up and the broad end down. The water should cover about an inch of the seed. Next, put the glass in a warm place, but not in direct sunlight. Add water when necessary to keep the bottom of the seed under water at all times. In two to six weeks, you should see roots begin to grow. Furthermore, the seed will crack open, and then a stem will emerge from the top. However, wait ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Pros And Cons Of Bangsamoro To our honourable adjudicators, competitive co debaters, guests, a pleasant morning to everyone. Compromising peace agreements between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) may lead to betrayal. Betrayal, in a sense that the ruling president, which is President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, might put the Bangsamoro people s life in danger. We all know that President Duterte s decisions when it comes to these kinds of problems are somewhat diversed. For instance, last November 3, 2016, President Duterte and MNLF s leader Nur Misuari talked about a Pre Agreement with regards to peace talks. However, the said agreement between MNLF was later on reclaimed last January 27, 2017, in which the president said, If you give your territory... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This was despite the signing of peace agreements in Tripoli and Jeddah witnessed by the powerful Organization of Islamic Conference and later Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). In 1992, the Philippine Ramos Government received the peace talks with the MNLF in forging the September 2, 1996 MNLF OIC GRP Jakarta Peace Agreements, including the implementation of the Tripoli Agreement. The Southern Philippines Council for Peace and Development (SPCPD) was without budgetary and political empowerment. In similar vein, the Estrada, Arroyo and Aquino III government totally ignored the correct and complete implementation of the September 2, 1996 MNLF OIC GRP Jakarta Peace Agreements. It only shows that the past governments did not keep their words. They only did agree on the agreements but has no plans on implementing it. We do not need any agreements; the government has no plans on fully implementing them. History repeats itself, so we must learn from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I would also like to see your overall evaluation of how you have negotiated with regards to specific negotiations (where you discuss the negotiation, what happened, and how you performed. You can discuss what tactics you used, how they worked, how your opponent responded, etc. Or were you right in your choice of strategy, about your strengths, and about your opposition? If not, why not? Also, how does what you did or learned relate to your everyday, personal situations? How can this help you function better in the future? You are not restricted to what we cover in class. You may (or perhaps should) write about any other negotiations you are or have been involved in at work or in some other setting., Feel free to write about relevant political issues, things happening on TV or in the movies that struck you, conversations with your significant other, etc. Your analysis should deal with those issues similarly to those just outlined above. • 47. GKE1 Task 3 Essay After Columbus mistakenly discovered the Americas in 1492, European countries were soon setting out to establish themselves in this new world. Spain was first to establish itself in the new world, using their powerful military and their navy. The new colonies were completely dictated by the king of Spain, such one of his policies allowing colonists to use the native tribes for forced labor. France was the second major power to establish itself. Their main focus was fur trapping and fur trading. The French quickly learned to work with the Native Americans. The few French settlers, who did come to America, were focused on fur trapping and trading. Because of this, most French settlements were either military forts or trading posts. England... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 1763, the Kingdom of Great Britain had just become victorious over France in the French and Indian War. This victory had come at a great cost, severely straining Britain s economy and banks. Britain felt that the American Colonists should have to pay some on its debts since most of the war was fought to protect the colonists. Britain soon began passing new taxes such as the Stamp Act of 1765. Colonist thought that it was unfair that they were being taxed since they were not allowed representation in British Parliament. For the following ten years, colonists began to realize that they wanted complete independence from Britain. They issued the Declaration of Independence in July of 1776 declaring themselves independent of Britain. The Colonies were now at full scale war with the mother country of Britain. America did not have grand army like Britain in the beginning and would often employ guerrilla tactics. These tactics often involved ambushing the British soldiers, and then quickly retreating to safety before the British soldiers could inflict too many casualties. Eventually America s army would grow and train. They would be able to stand toe to toe with Britain, which was considered to have the strongest army in the world at the time. In October of 1781, Britain would surrender after losing the siege of Yorktown. By 1783, Britain and the American Colonies would sign the Treaty of Paris, ending the American Revolution and recognizing America as a country on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Richard Branson s Influence On The Music Industry Richard Branson (July 18, 1950 present) grew up in Surrey, England with his father, Edward James Branson, and mother, Eve Branson. Throughout his entire life, he struggled with dyslexia which caused him to drop out of school at age sixteen. Soon after that, he started a magazine called Student, which, in order to support, he had to start Virgin Records. In 1984, fifteen years after the start of Virgin Records, Virgin Atlantic was created. Unfortunately for Richard Branson , Virgin Records in 1993 had to be sold as it was slowly plummeting. Richard Branson recalls crying when he sold it saying he remembers running down Ladbroke Grove, tears streaming down my face with the check for a billion dollars and he compared it to selling your children . However, he persevered and,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now, after roughly 47 years of being an entrepreneur, Richard Branson owns many more companies, including Virgin Galactic, a space tourism company. Richard Branson, mainly known for his companies, has also tried to break many world records for publicity. On July 2, 1987, Per Lindstrand and Richard Branson boarded the Virgin Atlantic Flyer which now resides in the Imperial War Museum in Duxford. On July 3, Lindstrand and Branson found themselves in trouble as fog appeared over their landing site. As Lindstrand bailed out, Branson, with little experience, was forced to fly the balloon alone. Before I go any further, I would like to point out that the Virgin Atlantic Flyer was the largest hot air balloon made so far. At around the size of a 21 story building, the Virgin Atlantic Flyer was a challenging task to fly, even for an experienced balloonist like Lindstrand, but for Branson? Well, that must have been entirely different. Forced to fly to the Irish Sea, the Flyer repeatedly dipped into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. IGBT Essay Very high power IGBTs Ultra high power, high voltage, power electronics is on the verge of a new era. Two new power semiconductor technologies, the high voltage IGBT are improving the performance, simplifying the design and increasing the reliability of applications ranging from 100 s of KVA to many MVA. In recent years, the performance of industrial power electronics for line voltages up to 600VAC has advanced rapidly. Initially, improvements were made possible by the development of high current isolated base darlington transistor modules. More recently, stunning improvements in IGBT technology has driven performance to new levels while substantially reducing cost. Over the same period, ultra high power, high voltage, applications ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In applications operating from AC line voltages of 600VAC and less, IGBTs with blocking voltage ratings of up to 1400V have provided an efficient low cost means of constructing high performance voltage source inverters. In higher voltage applications GTOs (Gate Turn Off thyristors) have been used but their limited switching frequency of 300Hz or so, offers little advantage when compared to other circuit topologies. Clearly, a higher performance, high power semiconductor device is needed. Today, newly commercialized high voltage IGBTs with blocking voltages to 3300V The HVIGBT (High Voltage IGBT) module is a logical extension of the technology used in conventional IGBTs. Several technical challenges had to be overcome in order for these devices to attain the desired characteristics. First, an IGBT chip with high blocking voltage, reasonably low on state voltage, and sufficiently wide safe operating area had to be developed. In lower voltage devices, a buffer layer structure (a.k.a. PT Punch Through) similar to a PIN diode (figure 1a) was found to be optimally effective for this purpose. The buffer layer in these devices was formed as part of the epitaxial silicon wafer. Adapting this structure to a high voltage device requires a very thick epitaxial layer which presents serious cost and yield problems. One way around this problem is to use an NPT (Non Punch Through) structure (figure 1b) for the device. The NPT structure does not have a buffer layer and is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The company has apparel for yoga, training, running and fashion. It has shaped the way people dress to go workout. Society finds themselves purchasing consumer products for no reason. Lululemon is recognized for its high quality and pricy products. They buy these things that fill a void they have inside of them. But in the end they will keep wanting more. Consumers today have depended on money and how consumption brings negative outcome behind materialism. In the essay Two Cheers for Materialism by James B. Twitchell, he defines us American as materialists and how we are a nation of consumers. While Lululemon is a popular consumer choice, many aspects influence the consumption of such a product such as when Lululemon first started out, When I first came across the brandand the expatiations it has for consumers. When Lululemon first started out, it was only for women. Now they expanded their store and brought in a men s section and a youth section for just girls. When you walk into Lululemon you walk into a store that has a bunch of athletic wear. There is a Men s side and Women s side. You walk into an atmospheric friendly place, the employees are very nice and helpful.
