The document describes a proposed hospital management system (HMS) software. The HMS aims to computerize operations in hospitals by efficiently storing patient information. 3. Objective of software
• The proposed software product is the Hospital
Management System (HMS). The system will
be used to get the information from the
patients and then storing that data for future
usage. It is for computerizing the working in a
hospital. The software is capable to provide
easy and effective storage of information
related to patients that come up to the
hospital.

system.
• It is too slow and cannot provide updated lists
of patients within a reasonable timeframe.
The intentions of the system are to reduce
over-time pay and increase the number of
patients that can be treated accurately.

• There are some of the key functionality of the
system :
1- patient registration & Admission : Includes both
insurance and non- insurance appointment
management with sms reminders to notify patients
about appointments & delays. There’s a separate login
for individual doctors to manage their appointments
and notify hospital front office about delays in
schedule.
2- In-patient Management : enables discharge
management , nurse management and claims
management.

4-Billing: Out-patient and in-patient billing and tracking
with facility to accept advances, payments/part-

cash-less insurance. The software also enables variable
pricing for first/repeat consultations per doctor with a
facility for consultant to override fees when required.

5- The software also enables customer relationship
management especially for chronic patients who visit
the hospitals more often. The software enables the
hospital to become a partner in continuous care by
enabling follow up of treatment calendars ,thereby
enhancing patient relationship and retention.
6- Revenue Management: Allows administrators to track
pending payables/receivables to/from
consultants/vendors/patients/TPAs etc. Software also
allows administrators to identify and plug revenue leaks
in the hospital.

7- Reports and Dashboards: Focusing on key
departments like finance, operations, to facilitate
improved efficiencies through metric measurement
Inventory Management: With scheduling with
utilization reports.

We tested the program more than once and we faced
troubles in the system and errors but finally we
overcome these troubles.
We test the program so many time until the system is
cured.

The project Hospital Management System is for
computerizing the working in a hospital. The software
takes care of all requirements and is capable to provide
easy and effective storage of information related to
patients that come up to hospital.
It generates bill reports, prescription reports, provide
prescription details , medicine prescribed to patient .
The system also provides facility of backup as per
requirement.
