Hezbollah the Terrorist Organization Essay
Hezbollah:
Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that originated in Lebanon in 1982. In just more than twenty
years Hezbollah has proved itself to be an effective terrorist organization. Hezbollah is much more
than just a terrorist organization. In Lebanon it has become a major political party and social force
to be reckoned with, as well as a major supporter of other terrorist groups. Hezbollah is a powerful
organization and this power has led to its dominance in the world of terror.
Hezbollah was formed in 1982 by radical Lebanese Shiites who wanted to create an Islamic state in
Lebanon and to free their land of Israeli domination (Byers, 2003). These extremists called their
group Hezbollah, in English this translates to Party ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This hatred for Israel was compounded by Israel s occupation of part of Lebanon. The removal of
foreigners from Lebanese soil was considered a just cause and this ideological mission earned
Hezbollah the support of many of the citizens of Lebanon and the rest of the Arab world.
Israel was not the only foreigner in Lebanon. The United Nations also, had French and American
soldiers stationed in Lebanon as UN peacekeepers (Byers, 2003). This did not, please Hezbollah,
who wanted all foreigners off Lebanese soil. On April 18, 1983, Hezbollah finally struck. A
Hezbollah operative drove an explosive laden van into the U.S. embassy in Beirut, Lebanon
killing sixty three individuals (Byers). Encouraged by this success Hezbollah then struck again on
October 23, 1986, using suicide bombers in vehicles to blow up both the U.S. Marine Barracks
and the French Paratroop Barracks, killing 241 Americans and 58 French. By, February 26, 1984,
just four months after the devastating attack on the Marine Barracks the United States pulled its
forces out of Lebanon (Byers).
This departure of the American forces was a major triumph for Hezbollah. They had pioneered a
new effective weapon, the suicide bomber. More important though, they had chased off an
imperialist invader and by doing

Social Status And Social Class In The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby was published in 1925 and it revolves around class and money. Social status
and class difference are two important themes of the novel and the characters are given their
power and impact by the class they belong to giving them various advantages and disadvantages.
Different characters are from different social classes in the novel. Tom Buchanan and Daisy
belonged to the upper class, Nick Caraway belonged to the middle classand the Wilson s were part
of the lower class. Gatsby had the wealth to be part of the upper class but he was not. Social classis
the status they have in the society and this is what separates the characters and differentiates their
behavior. From the start, we see a hint of difference in the social... Show more content on

When Gatsby and Daisy were returning from town Daisy hits Myrtle and does not even stop to
check what happened to the victim. Daisy was driving carelessly by driving too fast and by
allowing herself to be distracted by the day s unpleasant events. Finally, after hitting Myrtle with
Gatsby s car, Daisy panics and flees the scene, not even stopping to see if her victim survived
(Lance 2000). She leaves Gatsby with his car knowing he will get into trouble as it is his car but
she does not care. Gatsby has no choice but to take the blame on himself as he truly loves Daisy
and this leads to his death as Wilson tracked the owner of the car that killed his wife and kills
Gatsby as the car belongs to him and Wilson thinks he killed Myrtle. This carelessness by Daisy
leads to 3 deaths as Wilson also kills himself after killing Gatsby. They were careless people, Tom
and Daisy they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their
vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up their
mess (Fitzgerald 167). After this she leaves on vacations not caring what happens to Gatsby
neither she accepts her mistake. Daisy was also careless in her affair with Gatsby firstly she
married Tom behind his back when he Gatsby was gone war. When Gatsby gets wealthy she says
she loves him and she tries to get close to him calling him over for lunch and goes with him in

Can Officers Effectively Prosecute Domestic Violence...
When prosecuting criminal domestic violence cases too many officers constructed their entire case
only on statements made by the victim. However, victims of domestic violence are more likely
than victims of other violent crime to recant or refuse to cooperate in prosecutorial efforts
(Breitenbach, 2008, p. 1256). Officers must consider that victims of domestic violencemay refuse to
testify because of fear of retaliation, intimidation, financial dependence, emotional attachment, and
/or because they reunited with the batterer. If the victim refused to testify during court, their
statement against the abuser becomes hearsay evidence. Several recent cases have had a huge
influence on how those statements and hearsay evidence may be... Show more content on

Thus, any out of court statements made by witnesses and/or victims to law enforcement must be
excluded unless the defendant had prior opportunity to cross examine the unavailable witnesses
(Byrom, 2005). The only non testimonial statements that would be utilized in court, without direct
testimony from the witness and/or complainant, were the taped 911 phone calls reporting the
incident. If the victim testified, their previous statements would be allowed as evidence without
limitation because the witness was subjected to cross examination. However, if the victim refused
to testify, any testimonials made to law enforcement were not allowed as evidence in the court
proceedings.
In light of these legal changes, officers needed to construct their domestic violence cases under the
assumption that the victim would not be participating in the prosecution. The case commenced at
the time the call was received by dispatch up until the case was presented to a judge or jury.
Therefore, officers needed to complete the proper procedures to secure recordings of the calls made
to the 911 dispatch center to report the domestic situation. In addition to having the subject, victim
and/or witnesses complete written and/or video statements, the officer must diligently identify,
collect, and photograph evidence at the crime scene (Ellison, 2002). This required officers to visit
the victim several days later to photograph bruising, because some bruising

Anger Management Essays
Narrative Essay
Anger Management
I hear some people say that they got so angry they lost control and didn t know what they were
doing. I often wondered what that must be like. I, being a very passive person, have never lost
control when I ve become angered. I ve always had total awareness of my situation. In the movie
Anger Management , Jack Nicholson so nicely stated: Your temperis the one thing you can t get rid
of by loosing it I ve probably come close at times, but never gone over the edge to uncontrollable
rage. I remember there was one time it came close.

breath: Ah blow it out your a$#. Now he starts screaming
WHAT! WHAT WAS THAT! WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?
Normally I would have ignored him. I always let things slide. I don t like getting all worked up
over something stupid.
I don t know what came over me. He must have pushed all the right buttons, because all of a
sudden, I didn t seem so hot anymore. The aches and pains were gone and theirs this tremendous
burst of energy in every part of my body. I turned to face him and replied at the top of my lungs,
I SAID, BLOW IT OUT YOU RE A$#
With no delay, he replied:

To my surprise, he found even more buttons to push. Now my whole body is on fire. Lasers

Loss and Grief Essay
Essay Title: Loss and grief: Grieving allows us to heal, to remember with love rather than pain. It
is a sorting process. One by one you let go of things that are gone and you mourn for them. One
by one you take hold of the things that have become a part of who you are and build again.
Rachael Naomi Remen. MD 1966. Introduction In this essay I will outline the main theoretical
models relating to loss and grief. I will show how these theories may support individuals within
the counselling process. To demonstrate the above I will draw upon my experience and learning
from classroom triadic practice, my counselling placement practice and my personal and
professional development to date. During the process of which I will... Show more content on

The major significance of the Kubler Ross model is that it maps emotional responses of the
individual s journey through the changing landscape of the loss and grieving process. The
counsellor can use this model as a guide to help navigate their client through the roller coaster of
change and the fluctuating emotional terrain of grief. J. William Worden sets out the four tasks
of mourning (Worden 1991). The four basic dynamic tasks are: To accept the reality of the loss.
To work through the emotions associated with the loss. To learn how to cope with practical
tasks of living without the support of the deceased. To find a new place in one s emotional
relationship with the deceased. These tasks relate to the ideas of denial, anger and grief, learning
to cope and relocating the deceased in ones mental and emotional life . Worden refers to the work
of Klass 1996, which challenges the notion of breaking the bond in order to let go of a loved one
and form new attachments. Klass suggested a successful process of grief through bereavement was
one which created a continuing bond, compatible with other, new and continuing relationships
(Klass 1996, In Machin. P44. 2011). Within all these theoretical standpoints, the theme and process
of coming to terms with death and relationship could be regarded as the essence of an existential
quest; one

Supply, Demand Price Elasticity
Supply, Demand and Price Elasticity
People and companies make economic decisions on a daily basis by deciding how much of
something they will buy and what prices they are willing to pay for the goods or services. Through
individual decision making, consumers determine supply demands for their needs and wants, and
companies decide which goods and how many goods are to be sold, and how much to charge
consumers. There are many fundamental concepts and definitions that are important to
understanding the economics. The concepts that will be discussed in this paper are supply, demand,
and price elasticity.
Demand Variables Demand is defined as the amount of a good or service that consumers are
willing and able to purchase (Hubbard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Hubbard and O Brien, these technological changes are usually positive changes for
the company and help them find ways to make their inputs go farther, or cost less. The price that
other companies are charging for substitutes will also affect supply. If a substitute product has a
low price, consumers are more likely to go with that product. Many times, companies are forced
to lower their prices to compete with comparable products. The number of companies that enter
the market changes the supply as well. More companies in the market mean more comparable
products will be produced. Companies also look at future price expectations when deciding how
much to supply. If economists predict that prices will increase in the future, it benefits the
company to withhold some of the supply. Walt Disney Films does this with their VHS/DVD
collections. They keep their movies in a vault and re release them every few years. Disney has
created demand for their product due to the limited release and availability of their product.
Companies should increase production when they can charge more for their product, as they can
lose money if they are slow to respond to demand.
Market Equilibrium
The purpose of the market is to bring buyers and sellers together, with the interaction between the
two leading to production of what consumers want most. This is also known as

The Most Dangerous Game, Liberty, And Harrison Bergeron
In the stories, The Most Dangerous Game , Liberty , and Harrison Bergeron all compare among
their similarities. Each story uses the setting and their conflicts to show the theme and the
characteristics of each character. In these stories, they all have different conflicts and settings, but
they use the conflicts and settings to relate to each other in their characters and the themes. There
are similarities among the stories The Most Dangerous Game, Liberty , and Harrison Bergeronin the
themes for each story. For example, in Harrison Bergeron the theme is to stand up for what you
know and what you believe is right. Harrison in the story escaped from prison, tore his handicaps
off, doing the rest for those who were also handicapped. Harrison knew the risks of doing these
tasks, but he did it to show people what life was supposed to be like, and make an example of it.
Even as I stand here crippled, hobbled, sickened, I am still greater than any manwho ever lived. The
themes of Liberty and The Most Dangerous Game are very similar, both stories themes are to
never give up, fight for what you want, no matter how hard the battle or big the obstacle may be. In
the story liberty the narrator s family struggles with the harsh government and struggles to get their
visas to escape without anyone knowing. An important quote in that story was, All liberty involves

Pop, Country, Rap, Or Classical Music
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination,
and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. ~Plato. Plato was one of the more highly regarded
philosophers of his time. H e made some fantastic discoveried throughout his life, but this might be
one of the more relevant and profound to today s society. Music can be described in so many ways.
Even more than in Platos time because he probably wasn t busting rhymes in a rap battle every
other weekend. Although music has evolved highly since his time, his statement remains true.
Music creates a soul for the universe and it does so through many different genres. A few

The idea of rap is all about music that is not understandable and confusing. The ultimate sound of
rap resounds as garbled and electronic. The idea of rap revolves around lack of musical talent and
relying on a computer. Although this is not everyone s position, it is true, but Pop has a different
sound. The sound of pop still hints at the electronic nature of rap, but it differs in the fact that it is
understandable. It still lacks the true instrumental sound that country and classical entertain. The
pop usually has strong vocals and good harmony, but it retains the computerized sound that is
similar to rap. Moving on, Classical has a simple, yet complex sound. It has lost all of the complex
electronic sound that rap and pop retain. This genre falls short in the category of understanding.
Especially when teachers play it too loudly during a test. Although it usually has the smoothest
sound, the vocals can sometimes be too long and confusing. Finally, Country has the best sound out
of these four type of music. The genre of Country music has a complex mix of instruments without
the complex computerization. It also is very understandable and the sound is comforting in a

Bertrand Russell And The Greatest Philosopher
BERTRAND RUSSELL Bertrand Russell was born on May 18, 1872 into British aristocracy, In
1931 career centered on work as a philosophy professor, writer and public lecturer. He not only
knew but worked with many dominant figures in the late 19th and 20th century as a philosopher, a
mathematician, science as well as politics. Russell was arguably the greatest philosopher in the
20th century. Although Russell was a decent man he got most of his ideas from Gottolob Frege, a
German mathematician, logician and philosopher. Gottolob was also a vicious anti semite and
proto Nazi. The Nobel Prize Committee described Bertrand Russellas one of the best spokesman of
rationality and humanity. According to Russell, the value of philosophyis to be sought in the effects
it has on those who study it. The more you study philosophy, the more free your mindbecome.
Russell believed that exercise is to the good of the body as philosophy is to the goods of the mind.
Philosophy keeps alive the interest in the world. It aims the achievement of knowledge through
criticism and self evaluation. Philosophizing allow those who study it to enrich their intellectual
imagination. Russell saw philosophy as a way of life, insisting that questions have an ethical
urgency. I believed his assertion is correct. One who sought philosophy cultivate the mind. They
become self reflective and wiser. From that point on their mind is free to evaluate the world around

2.Non manufacturing costs. A manufacturing company incurs many other costs in addition to
manufacturing costs. For financial reporting purposes most of these other costs are typically
classified as selling (marketing) costs and administrative costs. Marketing and administrative costs
are incurred in both manufacturing and merchandising firms.
a.Marketing Costs. These costs include the costs of making sales, taking customer orders, and
delivering the product to customers. These costs are also referred to as order getting and order
filling costs.
b.Administrative Costs. These costs include all executive, organizational, and clerical costs that are
not classified as production or marketing costs.
3.Period vs. product costs. Costs can also be classified as period or product costs.
a.Period Costs. Period costs are expensed in the time period in which they are incurred. All selling
and administrative costs are typically considered to be period costs. You should be careful to point
out that the usual rules of accrual accounting apply. For example, administrative salary costs are
incurred when they are earned and not necessarily when they are paid to employees.
b.Product Costs. Product costs are added to units of product (i.e., inventoried ) as they are
incurred and are not treated as expenses until the units are sold. This can result in a delay of one or
more periods between the time in which the cost is incurred and

1. Objective:
The objective of this experiment is to demonstrate the bending of a bean when loaded at the center
of its length and examine its deflection when positioned in two different ways, when the flat side of
the beam is support and when the thin side is supported. In addition, try to find linear relationship
between the load applied and the deflection of the beam and comparing the experimental deflection
with the theoretical deflection.
If the load is applied at the mid length a=b=L/2 then mid span deflection is: Оґ = PL3/(48EI).

Polar Bear Endangerment
Endangered species can change a habitat due to their role in the environment. The EPA helps
protect these endangered species with the help of National and State Parks in the United States.
Each endangered species has different factors of why it is becoming endangered. Endangered
species are sometimes caused by their loss of habitat. Reasons for the endangerment of a species
can vary greatly from their loss of habitat to high genetic vulnerability to invasive species. Rapid
climate change contributes to the endangerment of many arctic wildlife. The Endangered Species
Act and the Endangered Protection Agency protects endangered and threatened species.
Polar Bears(Ursus maritimus) are going extinct due to loss of their habitat. Polar Bears live on
sea ice in the Atlantic Ocean. Due to warmer climates, the ice is becoming harder to find for
these Polar Bears. Polar Bears were listed as an endangered species in 2008 by the Endangered
Species Act (7). Global warming is the cause of Polar Bear endangerment, and their genetic code
is not able to evolve fast enough to cope with the changing environment. If fossil fuels were not
being burned, then the Earth would be cooler (7). Many arctic wildlife is affected by the climate
change such as the tiger (Panthera tigris), the Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus), and the Pacific Walrus
(Odbenus rosmarus divergens).
Forty two percent of endangered species are caused by an invasive species (3). Endangered species

Development Of Symphonies And Their Composers
Development of Symphonies and Their Composers Early eighteenth century the term symphony
was applied to the instrumental preludes and postludes of vocal pieces such as arias and songs. By
derivation the word means simply a music ensemble . Today, we apply the term to a much larger
composition such as an orchestra(typically in three or four movements). The symphonycan also be
defined as a sonata for orchestra. Symphonies of the earlier era, the classical era, were mostly
simpler, and followed a smaller scale. Later, during the romantic era, the symphony had grown in
number and length of the movements, the instruments used to increase not only in quantity but in
quality. There was also a wider dynamic range due to the variety in instruments played. Of the
seventeenth century, the term symphony originated from the word Sinfonia , which was used for
introductory movements for operas, oratorios and cantatas. Today, the symphony is generally
regarded as the highest type of instrumental music. Beginning in the eighteenth century, the first
symphonies were intensely developed. Music had three parts: fast, slow, fast, and eventually
became dance like fast. This form became popular in Italy, but then spread to Germany and
England. That s why most music terms are written in Italian. The first movement of the Sinfonia
received little to no attention, it merely served as a cover to the entrance of the people arriving late.
The second movement gave contrast with lyrical melody,

Hermann Hesse s Siddharth The Natural Motion Of A River
Emely Gonzalez
Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
AP Literature Pd.3
Topic 3
The natural motion of a river can vary. For the majority of its existence, a river s effortless flow
can be tranquilizing; but it could also evoke destruction with its rushing dynamics. This double
edge concept is the simple layout of life, for we encounter high points, as well as low points. The
river also holds two principles: creation and destruction. The symbolic nature of the current enables
Siddhartha, the protagonist in the novel entitled Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, to use the river as a
guide to reconstruct himself. Within many episodes of his life, Siddhartha encounters the river
and consumes the teachings of it. In the process of finding himself, Siddhartha lost a part of his
individuality. However, he was able to regain his loss through the river s guidance; it was his
savior. Siddhartha desired to join the Samanas, with his best friend, Govinda to pursue
enlightenment. When he told his father, a Brahmin, his plan to do so, he rejected his request.
Siddhartha was defiant, and stood still with his arms crossed for several hours until his request
was granted. Challenging his father s words shows how he was accustomed to having everything
in his favor. Once his knees grew weak, Siddhartha s father gave in, allowing him to go into the
forest and become a Samana. Upon joining the wanderers , Siddhartha and Govinda abandoned the
Samana life because it required one to lose

Poetry Analysis of Emily Dickinson Essay
Analysis of Emily Dickinson s The snake , In the Garden , and It bloomed and dropt, a Single Noon
.
Emily Dickinson uses nature in almost all of her poetry. She uses many literary techniques in her
poems to show her interpretations of nature and the world around her. In the poem The snake she
uses imagery in the forms sight and touch. The poem describes the snake as transient or passing
swiftly and deceptive or misleading. His appearance is sudden. As the snake moves it divides the
grass in one place, and as he moves, in another. The speaker has been deluded by the snake s
appearance. It mistakes the snake for a whip or lash. This is a use of situational irony.
Emily also uses personification to give the snake human ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When saying, zero at the bone she is saying how the feeling penetrates to the bone and suggests
how deeply felt, and how intense the emotion is. By using these connotation at the end of her
poem she could be referring to death or dying, maybe from fear of the snake. This poem uses
many symbols, and specific word choice to show how danger may reveal itself in nature. After
reading the poem the tone can be seen as frightening or depressing because Emily takes the beauty
of nature and shows that there are sides to it that can be threatening and dangerous as well.
In another poem by Emily Dickinson entitled In the Garden she also uses lots of imagery about
nature. She uses sight and sound imagery to give the reader an idea of what the speaker is
seeing and hearing. Also, again she uses personification to give the bird human characteristics.
Talking about the bird as it came down the walk is an example of this. Emily uses symbols to
give the bird human qualities. She says that the bird bit an angle worm in halves/And ate the
fellow, raw. Ironically the word raw shows an implication of human values and practices. Why
would you expect the bird to cook its food? Emily then goes on to talk about the bird drinking
dew From a convenient grass which can be symbolic of a glass a human would drink from. The
bird is then polite to a beetle by hopping sidewise to the wall. This statement gives the bird a

The people that said it was never used say the Nazis used it to see how much gas it would take to
kill people. The question still stands, why build a gas chamber...but never use it?
Over the course of twelve years there were 12 official commanders of Dachau. The camp was cut
in two, one section being for living aka camp, and the other side was for burning bodies, or
cremating them. On the camp side there were many buildings, kitchen, army housing, laundry,
showers, etc. But one stood out in particular, a cruel building, one that was for Medical experiments.
The Jews were used for experiments, which were common among the holocaust. Jews at Dachau
were used to see different ways the German Army could survive, they tested things like
submerging a person in icy cold water to see how there body reacted in hopes of finding a
treatment for hypothermia. Or using different kinds of rooms or chambers with high and low
pressured gas to see at what point a german aircraft flyer could parachute out of their broken
aircraft. There were also medical experiments, trying to treat things such as illness and injury. They
even had experiments on how they could change their racial beliefs and ideas, basically trying to

Song Analysis Of The 1815 Battle Of New Orleans
The War of 1812 had occured from 1812 to 1815; and at this time tensions between the United
States and Britain were still high. Around fifteen thousand americans died during The War of 1812,
and around eight thousand six hundred British and Canadian troops had died in battle or from
disease. Andrew Jackson was an important general during The War of 1812, and had fought during
the 1815 Battle of New Orleans. In 1815, The War of 1812 had ended and the United Statesand the
British had signed a peace agreement to call the war a tie between the two nations. By examining
the song, The Battle of New Orleans , it is clear that Johnny Horton was greatly influenced by the

The 1815 Battle of New Orleans occured in January 1815, near the Mississippi River and the
Gulf of Mexico. This battle had involved the United States, the Canadians, and the British. Some
people involved were Andrew Jackson, Edward Pakenham, and John Lambert as some generals on
both the British and the United States side. The end of the battle had affected the British the most
as within thirty minutes of battle two thousand british troops were killed and only 13 United
States troops were killed. In the end of the battle the British had been forced back to the Gulf of
Mexico to have their final fight but were unsuccessful and had to draw back.
The Battle of New Orleans, was written by Johnny Horton, and he had wrote it in 1959. The
song had reflected how the British were chased down the Mississippi River with the lines, We
fired once more and they begin to runin on down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico. The song
speaks of Andrew Jackson being involved with the fight with the lines, Along with Colonel

Behavioural Change
Theory of Behaviour ChangeTheories of behavioural change are used during program planning
because they help explain and predict how individuals go through change. Understanding how
and why people change is useful in the selection of program activities and outcomes (Hodges
Videto, 2011). Theory Guiding Program Plan The Social Cognitive Theory will be used to guide
the program plan. This theory describes change at the interpersonal level. This means that the
beliefs and actions of friends, family, peers and co workers can influence why one changes

They were looking to examine the outcome expectancies and self efficacy aspects of the social
cognitive theory. The participants underwent a six week cognitive behavioural therapy with the
goal of participant abstinence by the study s conclusion. The study found that participants with
lower confidence in their ability to refuse cannabis were less likely to be abstinent. However,
participants who thought the outcome of cannabis use would be negative had a greater chance of
abstinence (Gullo). This study addresses cannabis use and multiple aspects of Social Cognitive
Theory; however it is quite different from the program we have planned. This study does describe
the participants, and further, the goal of our program will not be abstinence. Rather, there will be
more focus on the social and environmental aspects of Social Cognitive Theory in our program.
Although there are differences between this study and our program plan it is important to see that
other people have used aspects of Social Cognitive Theory in a program/intervention that dealt with
cannabis. This encourages the use of aspects of the theory that are relevant to guide us in our own

Iran s Existing Institutions
The current, existing institutions set up in Iran would qualify this country as both consensual and
majoritarian. The Iranian executive branch is composed of a Supreme Leader elected by the
Assembly of Experts, a president and vice president, oversight bodies and a cabinet (World Fact
Book). The Supreme leader is appointed for life by the Assembly Experts, not through the people.
Iran also has a weak, unicameral Islamic legislative branch. It is also important to note that Iran
does not put a lot of its attention toward formalized political parties and interest groups. Iran is a
mixture of consensual and majoritarian government, but recent events and other governmental acts
prove otherwise. While most aspects in its written Constitution label Iran as consensual, the
government does not always act that way. With nearly seventy seven million people in the country
with ethnic groups including Persian, Azeri, Kurd, Lur, Baloch, Arab, Turkmen and Turkic tribes,
and others, Iran should make the educated decision to move towards a more consensual government
to better represent their people and include minority representation (Iran). To make this
transformation, the Iranian government should make changes dealing with the election system,
executivepower sharing, balance of power, political parties and federalism. The Iran election system
is composed of a simple majority, where 50 plus one votes is necessary for a candidate to win ( Iran
s Electoral System... ). This type of election

Technology And The Internet And Personal Smartphone Devices
With the ever increasing use of technological advancements such as the internet and personal
smartphone devices, many people simply take their security for granted. However, the act of
simply connecting to a web page like the Google search engine requires interacting with thousands
of security checkpoints and distinct networks just to display their distinctive logo. Every modern
organization must consider the risk of the internet, including but not limited to: banks,
organizations, universities, militaries, big business, local shops, and even governments.
Astonishingly, this is a risk that essentially did not exist merely 20 years ago. Nowadays there are
many ways to add security to a system or network. Some will find that simply placing a password
on their site works and others may find encrypting their data is the best way to keep private
information safe. Nevertheless, the loss of personal information to things like identity theftis at an
all time high. This lack of cyber security means that there is an increasing number of ways to get
personal information with the ever expanding use of technology and thusly a more dire need for
awareness of the risks taken.
Need for Cyber Security To directly address the sheer magnitude of the issue at hand, users must
understand what exactly falls under the category of cyberspace and thusly cyber security . Goutam

People who lived in the Scandinavian area during the Nordic Middle Ages were mostly associated
with being Vikings. Vikings were known for being people who would pillage and raid the homes
and towns of their enemies. Throughout history, Vikings have been considered as barbarians. What
many people do not realize was that the Norse people were interested in magic. There were many
popular witchcraftbeliefs and practices that were discussed by historians; Historian Stephen

In Scandinavia women were thought to be evil if they had a higher power role in society over
men. This is displayed in Scandinavian literature about the story of Queen Gunnhilder, in her
stories she was described as being malevolent and her nickname was Destructive Prima Donna
by one scholar. A real life example would be an incident that occurred in 1466. A woman named
Г†lseby, called another man s wife a wretch which in Norse means (sklak), and the son of a
whore. Г†lseby was once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after
another woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead , Г†lseby
went to the woman s house and started beating her up. Many would stereotype Г†lseby has a
quarrelsome woman who is commonly associated with being a witch. Mitchell takes Г†lseby
behavior a step further by referencing other scholars who said that back during this time period
women like Г†lseby who was regarded as contentious, outspoken, troublesome... were considered to
be evil women. As previously mentioned, many historians who write about witch hunting often
come across various works about witchcraft beliefs from witch hunters who believed that women
had sexual relations with the devil or other demons and spirits. In the article titled Sexual

Oskar s Journey In Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close
At first glance, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close may appear to simply detail the story of a
young boy aimlessly searching for a reason that his father was taken from the world. Once the
reader digs deeper however, the symbolic nature of Oskar s journey really comes to fruition. At
only nine years of age, Oskar Schnell experienced a tragedy that would be tough for most adults
to understand. Without health problems, bad habits, or any forewarning whatsoever, Oskar s
father was gone, and as a result Oskar was mentally battered. As his relationships with friends
and family began to sour and he struggled to find the meaning of his own life, Oskar desperately
searched for something, or someone, to bring back the spirit of the man he adored so much.
Oskar found this, in the form of a key. While finding this key s home seemed to be the top
priority for Oskar, little did he know that this small piece of metal served as a representation of his

only this time his dad was there in spirit. Oskar wanted nothing more than to solve the mystery,
open the lock, and make his father proud. As he visited person after person and traveled through
borough after borough, the key around Oskar s neck began to rekindle the connection between
father and son. More important than the contents of any safe, storage room, or apartment the key

The First Advantage Of Cloud Computing
Body
Variety of Cloud Models
The first advantage of cloud computing is the variety of cloud models. There are three types of
deployment models used in the everyday; they are the following: public, hybrid, and private.
Public cloud is accessed by anyone on the internet through web applications and services. The
hybrid cloud contains many inside and outside developers used by many businesses. Lastly, the
private cloud is services only offered on a private network where no one outside the network can
access. This model is safer because the cloud is not open to data breaches (compared to a public
cloud).
Cloud computing also offers three kind of services: Software as a service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a
service (IaaS), and Platform as a service (PaaS). The first one is software as a service; it is a single
application on the internet to be used by all people. On the client side, it requires no investment into
running servers needed on the other side. This service also requires less maintenance and is
cheaper. Some applications that use this service are Hotmail, Google Apps, Skype, and other 2.0
applications.
Infrastructure as a service has unlimited storage on the cloud, and they can expand and shrink
the storage space. This one requires no need of a server to be running. Some refer to it as Hardware
as a service or Haas. One benefit is you pay only for the amount of storage you use. Amazon s web
services are one of the major companies to offer Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and

Male Dominance In A Streetcar Named Desire
In numerous relationships between a man and a woman, there is generally a controlling figure
that is dominant above the other. It may be woman over man, man over woman, or in what the
proper definition of a marriage is an equivalent partnership and companionship. In the play A
Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, Stanley is one example of male dominance;
evidently the more dominate figure over Stella. Throughout the play there are copious examples
of the authority he possesses of her. Williams Portrays Stella as a modest girl who lives around
in Stanley s world. In his perspective he sees Stella as his homemaker, who stays home to prepare
his meals and take care of him. She does what he wants and pleases, obtains his abuse yet loves
him. Stanley extends his dominance over Stella by mistreating and abusing his position and his

December 7, 1941 is a day that will live with us forever. On December 8, 1941, the next day,
President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave one of the most patriotic speeches this country has heard.
He used several different rhetorical devices, Ethos, Pathos, Logos, to strengthen his argument.
His speech was an argument that was trying to get his fellow americans to stand up and fight for

In most patriotic or any speeches given in history that try to prove an argument must have a strong
dose of pathos. Pathos is the key to his speech because when something as bad as the Attack on
Pearl Harbor, President Roosevelt was a able to rally his fellow Americans to bear arms and
ready to avenge this attack. Especially when President Roosevelt said this, No matter how long it
may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might
will win through to absolute victory.(15) . President Roosevelt was very successful with this and
got the clear majority of the people ready to go to war. Although there were some people
disagreeing, but they were silenced by the majority of the people .

build a family and fulfill individuals desire to experience parenthood. Whether for biological or

At times families wish to adopt from the country of the family s own ethnic origin, or they may be
familiar with others who have successfully adopted overseas. The research also suggests that the
major reason families choose to adopt international is the manner in which most international
adoptions are conducted; a process that minimizes the threat that a child could be offered to
potential parents and then withdrawn. International birth parents transfer their parental rights to a
third party adoption agency or orphanage before the adoptive parents get involved in the process.
This may not be the case with domestic adoptions, mainly when a child is expected, but not yet
born. Birth parents may change their minds about adopting out their child during the period before
the adoption is finalized (Fain, n.d., http://ezinearticles.com/?The Pros And Cons Of International

Thus, one can conclude that this can be a terrifying prospect for would be parents to contemplate,
and adoptive parents who wish to reduce this possibility may prefer international adoption or may
otherwise work only to identify candidate children who have already been placed in an orphanage
or foster program. In addition, some adoptive parents find that international restrictions on who

The Importance of Delegation
The importance of Delegation Delegation is a way to appropriately and consistently provide
direction to a staff. By delegating properly, managers can teach employees new skills and expertise
to help them to be more productive and instill a sense of self reliance, improving morale and
motivation (Wikipedia, 2006). As a manager, you must assess your staff s current abilities and their
potential to accept and complete assignments through established guidelines. A manager must know
how to plan and coordinate a variety of activities and how to monitor progress. Delegation brings
into play many managementfunctions planning, organizing, coordinating, motivating,
communicating, and leading. Setting goals while delegating can be beneficial to... Show more

It s important to understand why a manager is reluctant to delegate so that the individual can
face those weak areas. There are times a manager may feel the transfer of a task involves a
certain degree of risk. As a manager your staff may also be thinking about the risk; they are
afraid they may be criticized if they should fail. As a manager you could be reluctant to delegate
because you are afraid the employee may make mistakes or that they think it takes to much time
to delegate. The manager may feel that completing the task themselves would be more efficient or
feel they would lose control if they delegate. When overcoming this weakness a manager should
try to start off by choosing projects or tasks carefully to make sure they are balancing the risk with
the potential rewards. This will prepare the manager for greater responsibility and higher levels of
experience.
The manager could give the project or assignment to an employee who they feel can get it done
with little or no direction at all. They may have to educate their staff on the task to be completed,
but in the long run the manager will be able to pass work to others with little guidance at all.
The manger could also sit down and work out a plan of action as to how they plan on delegating
the tasks and assignments. Planning out tasks or projects to be completed and how the manger will
organize those things will help the manger visualize the processes to get the job done. The plan
could include who

Borders of life and lands Gregory
Boca Chica is municipality of the Dominican Republic, located upon the island of Hispaniola in the
Gulf of ChiriquГ. The history of conflict between the Dominican side of the island (influenced by
Spanish colonial rule) and the Western Haitian side is long standing, dating back to the 1880 s.
Upon the modern day landscape there is an imaginary line which divides Hispaniola into a land of
two countries. One side of which is Haiti and the other the Dominican Republic. It is on the
Dominican side where Gregory focuses his ethnography.
Through anecdotal interviews bureaucratic and social borders are described, which not only
exclude and disempower the Haitian residents of the country, but which also also alienate
citizens of Dominican descent due to their financial state. Dominican parents are required to
register the birth of a child at office of Civil Registry so as to be issued with a birth certificate.
When the child reaches the age of eighteen, this certificate can than be exchanged for an adult
cГ©dula , which is required for voting, securing formal employment and obtaining licenses and
other documents. However, many parents, especially those in rural areas, may delay or neglect
registering their children s birth, through oversight, ignorance, or lack of resources to travel or to

which was not unified. Ptolemy s system predicts planet locations precisely in hundred years until

Snake in D.H Lawrence s representations express an inner conflict; the troubles they face are for
distinct and similar reasons; they want an escape to their present state. The interpretation received
when analyzing Piano was that the narratorhimself was having a troublesome time because he
aspired something that was nostalgically unreachable for him, his childhood. What caused this
inclination to be unreachable was due to the time passing which resulted in him becoming an adult
and conforming to the constitutional systems. Snakes narrator s inner distress came from the need to
break down the structural voices and principles that educational systems had constructed upon him.
Both narrators have heavily built up emotions for the want of liberation from the prisons that
confine them to the structures meant for them; their desires although differing in context are

they do desire something different from what they presently have. Both Poems are faced with the

The Nature of Warfare
Throughout history the nature of warfare has remained the same, it is a violent clash of
interests between or among organized groups characterized by the use of military force,
however, the character of war is constantly changing. The means by which wars are fought are no
longer limited to easily identifiable conventional forces, nor do non traditional actors abide by
the same set of international standards and rules of law. The United States can no longer expect
to face a purely conventional threat. As a result, the U.S. military must be prepared to conduct
both regular and irregular warfare successfully, although irregular warfare is more challenging
and poses a greater threat to U.S. strategic objectives. All conflicts contain elements of both
regular and irregular warfare and the nature of the conflict can easily shift between them. As a
result, the U.S. military must maintain the ability to be prepared to do both successfully and one
must not come at the expense of the other. The 2012 Defense Strategic Guidance asserts the
Wholesale divestment of the capability to conduct any mission would be unwise, based on
historical and projected uses of U.S. military forces and our inability to predict the future.
Traditional and non traditional warfare are not mutually exclusive and one form of warfare should
not take priority over the other, so it is critical that the U.S. military balance the capabilities
necessary to succeed across a wide spectrum of operations.

Collaboration On Cosmological Theories
Collaboration on cosmological theories has helped to develop how we see the universe today.
Astronomers have been able to develop several theories, which helps us to learn about what we
see in the sky. Based on observations on what we can see and of what we now based on the laws
of science, space is able to been seen much closer than we think it is. As Astronomers collaborate
together, they are able to formulate theories on space itself using investigation and observation.
Through theories and astronomers knowledge, collaboration is able to be used to come together
and share knowledge to fully understand just a piece of the vastness outside of Earth. Some famous
astronomers of the past are Hermann Bondi, Thomas Gold, and Fred Hoyle. They produced

1984 Mind Control Analysis
In our modern world we don t often think about the possibility that somebody could potentially
gain control of our minds. However even if we don t think about it, it doesn t make it any less of a
fact. In the book 1984 as well as in real life mind control proves to be a key technique in gaining
power and control over people.
In the book 1984 the government s main objective is to gain control of the population by shaping
the way they think. They don t want their people to obey their rules because of fear or a sense of
duty, rather they want the people to wholeheartedly believe in the government. Using mind control
techniques the ingsoc government transforms its people into beings who cannot think on their own,
but need guidance for every part ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of these very voluntary techniques such as hypnotism are quite different from the ones in
1984. However many organizations such as the marines use mind control in a semi involuntary way.
People such as marines go into the program believing that they will just be taught how to protect
their country, but the disciplinary measures they go through often consist of mind control. They are
expected to lose their individuality, always act as they are told, and change their way of thinking.
These techniques can also be used in religious organizations to gain a fully committed following.
All of these unnerving real life examples raise questions of whether people actually have full
control over their own minds. However most of the examples provided in Captive Minds are quite
different than the methods in 1984 in the fact that they aren t brutally forced. In Canada we don t
have to spend our days worrying that someone will force us into joining a mind washing cult. The
only thing we have to do is avoid joining organizations or groups with blind faith by finding out
what they are about

  • 2. Hezbollah the Terrorist Organization Essay Hezbollah: Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that originated in Lebanon in 1982. In just more than twenty years Hezbollah has proved itself to be an effective terrorist organization. Hezbollah is much more than just a terrorist organization. In Lebanon it has become a major political party and social force to be reckoned with, as well as a major supporter of other terrorist groups. Hezbollah is a powerful organization and this power has led to its dominance in the world of terror. Hezbollah was formed in 1982 by radical Lebanese Shiites who wanted to create an Islamic state in Lebanon and to free their land of Israeli domination (Byers, 2003). These extremists called their group Hezbollah, in English this translates to Party ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This hatred for Israel was compounded by Israel s occupation of part of Lebanon. The removal of foreigners from Lebanese soil was considered a just cause and this ideological mission earned Hezbollah the support of many of the citizens of Lebanon and the rest of the Arab world. Israel was not the only foreigner in Lebanon. The United Nations also, had French and American soldiers stationed in Lebanon as UN peacekeepers (Byers, 2003). This did not, please Hezbollah, who wanted all foreigners off Lebanese soil. On April 18, 1983, Hezbollah finally struck. A Hezbollah operative drove an explosive laden van into the U.S. embassy in Beirut, Lebanon killing sixty three individuals (Byers). Encouraged by this success Hezbollah then struck again on October 23, 1986, using suicide bombers in vehicles to blow up both the U.S. Marine Barracks and the French Paratroop Barracks, killing 241 Americans and 58 French. By, February 26, 1984, just four months after the devastating attack on the Marine Barracks the United States pulled its forces out of Lebanon (Byers). This departure of the American forces was a major triumph for Hezbollah. They had pioneered a new effective weapon, the suicide bomber. • 4. Can Officers Effectively Prosecute Domestic Violence... When prosecuting criminal domestic violence cases too many officers constructed their entire case only on statements made by the victim. However, victims of domestic violence are more likely than victims of other violent crime to recant or refuse to cooperate in prosecutorial efforts (Breitenbach, 2008, p. 1256). Officers must consider that victims of domestic violencemay refuse to testify because of fear of retaliation, intimidation, financial dependence, emotional attachment, and /or because they reunited with the batterer. If the victim refused to testify during court, their statement against the abuser becomes hearsay evidence. Several recent cases have had a huge influence on how those statements and hearsay evidence may be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, any out of court statements made by witnesses and/or victims to law enforcement must be excluded unless the defendant had prior opportunity to cross examine the unavailable witnesses (Byrom, 2005). The only non testimonial statements that would be utilized in court, without direct testimony from the witness and/or complainant, were the taped 911 phone calls reporting the incident. If the victim testified, their previous statements would be allowed as evidence without limitation because the witness was subjected to cross examination. However, if the victim refused to testify, any testimonials made to law enforcement were not allowed as evidence in the court proceedings. In light of these legal changes, officers needed to construct their domestic violence cases under the assumption that the victim would not be participating in the prosecution. The case commenced at the time the call was received by dispatch up until the case was presented to a judge or jury. Therefore, officers needed to complete the proper procedures to secure recordings of the calls made to the 911 dispatch center to report the domestic situation. In addition to having the subject, victim and/or witnesses complete written and/or video statements, the officer must diligently identify, collect, and photograph evidence at the crime scene (Ellison, 2002). This required officers to visit the victim several days later to photograph bruising, because some bruising ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Loss and Grief Essay Essay Title: Loss and grief: Grieving allows us to heal, to remember with love rather than pain. It is a sorting process. One by one you let go of things that are gone and you mourn for them. One by one you take hold of the things that have become a part of who you are and build again. Rachael Naomi Remen. MD 1966. Introduction In this essay I will outline the main theoretical models relating to loss and grief. I will show how these theories may support individuals within the counselling process. To demonstrate the above I will draw upon my experience and learning from classroom triadic practice, my counselling placement practice and my personal and professional development to date. The major significance of the Kubler Ross model is that it maps emotional responses of the individual s journey through the changing landscape of the loss and grieving process. The counsellor can use this model as a guide to help navigate their client through the roller coaster of change and the fluctuating emotional terrain of grief. J. William Worden sets out the four tasks of mourning (Worden 1991). The four basic dynamic tasks are: To accept the reality of the loss. To work through the emotions associated with the loss. To learn how to cope with practical tasks of living without the support of the deceased. To find a new place in one s emotional relationship with the deceased. These tasks relate to the ideas of denial, anger and grief, learning to cope and relocating the deceased in ones mental and emotional life . Worden refers to the work of Klass 1996, which challenges the notion of breaking the bond in order to let go of a loved one and form new attachments. Klass suggested a successful process of grief through bereavement was one which created a continuing bond, compatible with other, new and continuing relationships (Klass 1996, In Machin. P44. 2011). Within all these theoretical standpoints, the theme and process of coming to terms with death and relationship could be regarded as the essence of an existential quest; one ... Supply, Demand Price Elasticity Supply, Demand and Price Elasticity People and companies make economic decisions on a daily basis by deciding how much of something they will buy and what prices they are willing to pay for the goods or services. Through individual decision making, consumers determine supply demands for their needs and wants, and companies decide which goods and how many goods are to be sold, and how much to charge consumers. There are many fundamental concepts and definitions that are important to understanding the economics. The concepts that will be discussed in this paper are supply, demand, and price elasticity. Demand Variables Demand is defined as the amount of a good or service that consumers are willing and able to purchase (Hubbard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Hubbard and O Brien, these technological changes are usually positive changes for the company and help them find ways to make their inputs go farther, or cost less. The price that other companies are charging for substitutes will also affect supply. If a substitute product has a low price, consumers are more likely to go with that product. Many times, companies are forced to lower their prices to compete with comparable products. The number of companies that enter the market changes the supply as well. More companies in the market mean more comparable products will be produced. Companies also look at future price expectations when deciding how much to supply. If economists predict that prices will increase in the future, it benefits the company to withhold some of the supply. Walt Disney Films does this with their VHS/DVD collections. They keep their movies in a vault and re release them every few years. Disney has created demand for their product due to the limited release and availability of their product. Companies should increase production when they can charge more for their product, as they can lose money if they are slow to respond to demand. Market Equilibrium The purpose of the market is to bring buyers and sellers together, with the interaction between the two leading to production of what consumers want most. This is also known as ... Endangered species are sometimes caused by their loss of habitat. Reasons for the endangerment of a species can vary greatly from their loss of habitat to high genetic vulnerability to invasive species. Rapid climate change contributes to the endangerment of many arctic wildlife. The Endangered Species Act and the Endangered Protection Agency protects endangered and threatened species. Polar Bears(Ursus maritimus) are going extinct due to loss of their habitat. Polar Bears live on sea ice in the Atlantic Ocean. Due to warmer climates, the ice is becoming harder to find for these Polar Bears. Polar Bears were listed as an endangered species in 2008 by the Endangered Species Act (7). • 15. Development Of Symphonies And Their Composers Development of Symphonies and Their Composers Early eighteenth century the term symphony was applied to the instrumental preludes and postludes of vocal pieces such as arias and songs. By derivation the word means simply a music ensemble . Today, we apply the term to a much larger composition such as an orchestra(typically in three or four movements). The symphonycan also be defined as a sonata for orchestra. Symphonies of the earlier era, the classical era, were mostly simpler, and followed a smaller scale. Later, during the romantic era, the symphony had grown in number and length of the movements, the instruments used to increase not only in quantity but in quality. There was also a wider dynamic range due to the variety in instruments played. Of the seventeenth century, the term symphony originated from the word Sinfonia , which was used for introductory movements for operas, oratorios and cantatas. Today, the symphony is generally regarded as the highest type of instrumental music. Beginning in the eighteenth century, the first symphonies were intensely developed. Music had three parts: fast, slow, fast, and eventually became dance like fast. This form became popular in Italy, but then spread to Germany and England. That s why most music terms are written in Italian. The first movement of the Sinfonia received little to no attention, it merely served as a cover to the entrance of the people arriving late. For the majority of its existence, a river s effortless flow can be tranquilizing; but it could also evoke destruction with its rushing dynamics. This double edge concept is the simple layout of life, for we encounter high points, as well as low points. The river also holds two principles: creation and destruction. The symbolic nature of the current enables Siddhartha, the protagonist in the novel entitled Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, to use the river as a guide to reconstruct himself. Within many episodes of his life, Siddhartha encounters the river and consumes the teachings of it. In the process of finding himself, Siddhartha lost a part of his individuality. However, he was able to regain his loss through the river s guidance; it was his savior. Siddhartha desired to join the Samanas, with his best friend, Govinda to pursue enlightenment. When he told his father, a Brahmin, his plan to do so, he rejected his request. Siddhartha was defiant, and stood still with his arms crossed for several hours until his request was granted. Challenging his father s words shows how he was accustomed to having everything in his favor. Emily Dickinson uses nature in almost all of her poetry. She uses many literary techniques in her poems to show her interpretations of nature and the world around her. In the poem The snake she uses imagery in the forms sight and touch. The poem describes the snake as transient or passing swiftly and deceptive or misleading. His appearance is sudden. As the snake moves it divides the grass in one place, and as he moves, in another. The speaker has been deluded by the snake s appearance. It mistakes the snake for a whip or lash. After reading the poem the tone can be seen as frightening or depressing because Emily takes the beauty of nature and shows that there are sides to it that can be threatening and dangerous as well. In another poem by Emily Dickinson entitled In the Garden she also uses lots of imagery about nature. She uses sight and sound imagery to give the reader an idea of what the speaker is seeing and hearing. Also, again she uses personification to give the bird human characteristics. Talking about the bird as it came down the walk is an example of this. Emily uses symbols to give the bird human qualities. She says that the bird bit an angle worm in halves/And ate the fellow, raw. Ironically the word raw shows an implication of human values and practices. Why would you expect the bird to cook its food? Emily then goes on to talk about the bird drinking dew From a convenient grass which can be symbolic of a glass a human would drink from. This is displayed in Scandinavian literature about the story of Queen Gunnhilder, in her stories she was described as being malevolent and her nickname was Destructive Prima Donna by one scholar. A real life example would be an incident that occurred in 1466. A woman named Г†lseby, called another man s wife a wretch which in Norse means (sklak), and the son of a whore. Г†lseby was once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after another woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead , Г†lseby went to the woman s house and started beating her up. Oskar s Journey In Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close At first glance, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close may appear to simply detail the story of a young boy aimlessly searching for a reason that his father was taken from the world. Once the reader digs deeper however, the symbolic nature of Oskar s journey really comes to fruition. At only nine years of age, Oskar Schnell experienced a tragedy that would be tough for most adults to understand. Without health problems, bad habits, or any forewarning whatsoever, Oskar s father was gone, and as a result Oskar was mentally battered. As his relationships with friends and family began to sour and he struggled to find the meaning of his own life, Oskar desperately searched for something, or someone, to bring back the spirit of the man he adored so much. Oskar found this, in the form of a key. While finding this key s home seemed to be the top priority for Oskar, little did he know that this small piece of metal served as a representation of his father, and all... Oskar wanted nothing more than to solve the mystery, open the lock, and make his father proud. There are three types of deployment models used in the everyday; they are the following: public, hybrid, and private. Public cloud is accessed by anyone on the internet through web applications and services. The hybrid cloud contains many inside and outside developers used by many businesses. Lastly, the private cloud is services only offered on a private network where no one outside the network can access. This model is safer because the cloud is not open to data breaches (compared to a public cloud). Cloud computing also offers three kind of services: Software as a service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), and Platform as a service (PaaS). The first one is software as a service; it is a single application on the internet to be used by all people. On the client side, it requires no investment into running servers needed on the other side. This service also requires less maintenance and is cheaper. Some applications that use this service are Hotmail, Google Apps, Skype, and other 2.0 applications. Infrastructure as a service has unlimited storage on the cloud, and they can expand and shrink the storage space. This one requires no need of a server to be running. Some refer to it as Hardware as a service or Haas. One benefit is you pay only for the amount of storage you use. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It s important to understand why a manager is reluctant to delegate so that the individual can face those weak areas. There are times a manager may feel the transfer of a task involves a certain degree of risk. As a manager your staff may also be thinking about the risk; they are afraid they may be criticized if they should fail. As a manager you could be reluctant to delegate because you are afraid the employee may make mistakes or that they think it takes to much time to delegate. The manager may feel that completing the task themselves would be more efficient or feel they would lose control if they delegate. When overcoming this weakness a manager should try to start off by choosing projects or tasks carefully to make sure they are balancing the risk with the potential rewards. This will prepare the manager for greater responsibility and higher levels of experience. The manager could give the project or assignment to an employee who they feel can get it done with little or no direction at all. They may have to educate their staff on the task to be completed, but in the long run the manager will be able to pass work to others with little guidance at all. The manger could also sit down and work out a plan of action as to how they plan on delegating the tasks and assignments. Piano and Snake in D.H Lawrence s representations express an inner conflict; the troubles they face are for distinct and similar reasons; they want an escape to their present state. The interpretation received when analyzing Piano was that the narratorhimself was having a troublesome time because he aspired something that was nostalgically unreachable for him, his childhood. What caused this inclination to be unreachable was due to the time passing which resulted in him becoming an adult and conforming to the constitutional systems. Snakes narrator s inner distress came from the need to break down the structural voices and principles that educational systems had constructed upon him. Both narrators have heavily built up emotions for the want of liberation from the prisons that confine them to the structures meant for them; their desires although differing in context are similar in topic matter. There are in fact differences in what they long for, but there is no doubt that they do desire something different from what they presently have. The Nature of Warfare Throughout history the nature of warfare has remained the same, it is a violent clash of interests between or among organized groups characterized by the use of military force, however, the character of war is constantly changing. The means by which wars are fought are no longer limited to easily identifiable conventional forces, nor do non traditional actors abide by the same set of international standards and rules of law. The United States can no longer expect to face a purely conventional threat. As a result, the U.S. military must be prepared to conduct both regular and irregular warfare successfully, although irregular warfare is more challenging and poses a greater threat to U.S. strategic objectives. All conflicts contain elements of both regular and irregular warfare and the nature of the conflict can easily shift between them. As a result, the U.S. military must maintain the ability to be prepared to do both successfully and one must not come at the expense of the other. The 2012 Defense Strategic Guidance asserts the Wholesale divestment of the capability to conduct any mission would be unwise, based on historical and projected uses of U.S. military forces and our inability to predict the future. Traditional and non traditional warfare are not mutually exclusive and one form of warfare should not take priority over the other, so it is critical that the U.S. military balance the capabilities necessary to succeed across a wide spectrum of operations. ...
