Going Viral: Maximize Social Media & Raise More Money

  2. Sorry – no big secret to the Ice Bucket Challenge. But we will share other ways to electrify your network.
  3. Notice: Website hits similar, revenue jumped in 2014. Targeted efforts include landing page, goal, and we blocked the day for social media promotion.
  4. More planning, targeted communications, enhanced social media presence.
  5. Well-established campaign. Fine-tuning included improved imagery, multi-channel integration, plus facebook and twitter ads.
  6. Our solution? A social media army!
  7. For small shops: Don’t be overwhelmed by this. Select a few tips and launch those alone. How about four volunteers that you email a few times a year?
  8. Empower those new volunteers!
  9. Make your new ambassadors feel awesome… because they are!
  10. Important: Ensure your digital presence is balanced and reflects your brand and voice. No spamming! Quality over quantity. Website resources: ads.twitter.com for analytics and google.com/grants for $10K/month for nonprofit advertising.
  11. Multi-channel = growth on all platforms. Don’t be afraid of siphoning revenue from one channel to another. We’ve not seen evidence of this.
  12. Resources: For graphics, use search.creativecommons.org. For editing graphics, use ribbet.com. For meme apps, use MeMatic (can adjust size of text), MemeGen (more stock photos), or MemeFactory (can move words around).
  13. Our big idea… presented by a Social Media Ambassador.
  14. Scary? Yes! But let ideas flow… for example, Veggie Yoga!
  15. Ensure that your big ideas align with your mission. If so? Analyze, plan, and repeat.
