DEFINITION OF
CARBON
DIOXIDE:
Carbon dioxide is a
colorless,odorless gas
found in our atmosphere.
Its chemical formula is
CO2, which means it is
one carbon atom bonded
to two oxygen atoms.
01
Advantages of carbon
dioxide:
Carbon dioxide exists
naturally in the
atmosphere.
Carbon dioxide can be
used to increase of
flowers, fruits and
vegetables
Carbon dioxide cab be
used to put out fires.

Carbon dioxide is one of
the toxic gas.
Carbon dioxide increase
the earth temperature and
so global.
Increase in percentage of
co2 in air causes melting of
snow and hence there are
increase in sea water level.
Disadvantages of carbon
dioxide:
Chemical composition of
carbon dioxide:
Carbon dioxide is a
chemical compound with
the chemical formula
CO2. It is made up of
molecules that each
have one carbon atom
covalently double
bonded to two oxygen
atoms.
Location of carbon
dioxide:
Carbon dioxide occurs naturally in
small amounts in the Earth’s
atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a
minor part of the air that humans
breathe. It is also a byproduct of our
body’s metabolism and is
subsequently exhaled from the
lungs.
