Semiotics is how a piece of media is read by the audience, from a newspaper 
article title to a game poster. These pieces of media normally cause an 
emotional response for the reader and can be read very differently depending 
on the person. 
An example of this in the last of 
us is a good example of this

dance via the situations you are 
placed to when in the game. 
In the last of us there is a lot of 
violence and so can be read as 
good or bad depending on the
