Versal — US based open publishing platform to create online courses —
has launched an open JavaScript-based interface and a Web-based
developer tool to allow programmers and teachers to create their own
interactive elements for courses to increase student engagement.
The tool also provides the creators of courses with ‘gadgets’. These
gadgets comprise of four categories — Components that link in external
third-party services, developer components, Pre–built generalized applets
and JavaScript applications. The company has also partnered with Codio
to create a free Web-based development environment.
