This song performed at the 2010 FIFA World Cup opening
ceremony in South Africa exemplifies the spirit of the global
citizen.

greatest strength; understanding and respect are its

This video provides a short introduction about the activities of
ONEXONE.
Mission

The mission is to improve the lives of children in Canada, the
USA, and around the world with programs dedicated to five
fundamental pillars:
    I. Water
    II. Health
    III. Education
    IV. Play
    V. Food
Philosophy

Founded on the principles that every single life is infinitely
precious and that each person can make a profound
difference in someone else’s life one by one.
Purpose

Every child has clean water to drink.

Enough food to eat

No child suffers or succumbs to illness due to improper or
insufficient medical care.

School and learning are a right not a privilege.

Every kid has the chance to be just a kid.

Play allows kids just to be kids
Play happens when the child is not worrying about where
the next meal comes from
ONEXONE understands that children’s happiness and
enthusiasm must be nurtured
ONEXONE partners Right to Play and works to initiate
sport and play activities along the refugee camps in
Eastern Chad along the Sudanese border
ONEXONE has provided over 12,600 children and 350
coaches play activities through providing safe play areas
and distributing sports equipment.
Importance and Benefits of Play

 Promotes healthier lifestyle and social development
 Develop life skills
 Foster peace and happiness by providing structure and
 normalization in the lives of disadvantaged communities
 Children benefit by increased sense of confidence, self-
 worth
 Increased self-esteem and leadership
 Reduced violent and aggressive behaviour

Relationship to ECE
Early Childhood Educators (ECE) could be attracted to join
  ONEXONE for the following reasons:
        I. Become a global citizen and travel the world to help
        children and families in need.
        II. ECE’s can help children to create a healthy lifestyle
        through programs
        III. ECE’s can help children in their social development
        IV. ECE’S can help children increase their self-confidence

Early Childhood Educators can work with ONEXONE in places like
Africa and help children become successful.
