This document explores the integration of service-learning (SL) in an online business leadership and ethics course at the University of Texas at Tyler, emphasizing its potential benefits for enhancing civic responsibility and experiential learning among students. The study, which employed a mixed-methods approach with 81 participants, found that students engaged meaningfully with community service while concurrently achieving course objectives. The results suggest that SL can effectively foster higher engagement and learning outcomes in online education, analogous to traditional face-to-face settings.
