This self-assessment report summarizes the student's experience teaching English to 4-year-olds in kindergarten. The student focused on teaching shapes and aimed to make the experience significant by having the children use the language in context and activate their prior knowledge. Though initially nervous, the student learned to relax and enjoy teaching as the children did. Going forward, the student would have the children interact more and ensure most students participate. The experience helped the student gain classroom experience and see their own teaching mistakes, and they feel more confident after receiving constructive feedback.
