How to Leverage the Power of Social Media MarketingFinancial Poise
Social media marketing (SMM) is perhaps the easiest form of digital marketing to get started with. Additionally, it doesn’t cost a penny to actually start doing SMM. As long as the business owner has time to handle their SMM activity, they can do it for free. However, if they treat their business social media profiles in the same way they treat their personal social media accounts, they are likely setting themselves up for failure. It’s important to understand best practices and know how to truly generate results through SMM. After finishing this episode, the business owner will have learned actionable dos and don’ts associated with SMM.

Learner Engagement is back in focus. With the majority of the global corporate workforce still #workingfromhome, several recent surveys indicate that #learnerengagement will be one of the top points to address for corporate L&D team.
While we all agree that Motivation and Practice are the two pillars of Learning Engagement, Learning at the Time of Need and Feedback are two factors that we can ill afford to ignore. Learning engagement also depends largely on the organizational culture, and the transition of L&D from an order taker to playing an active role by being a consultant/advisor is crucial for today's learning endeavors to be successful. Also, the active contribution of line managers and other similar stakeholders in the creation and curation of learning content is also essential.
It is with the aim to discuss and emphasize these factors that we present you with the top 20 quotes from the insightful conversations that Amit Garg - CEO of Upside Learning Solutions, who moderated the podcasts had with learning experts and features:

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Get the Social Edge Kickstart Explained
1.
2. Two years ago most of the lawyers, financial advisors and other professional services practitioners I met knew something
about social media but were very definite in telling me it would not “work” for their practice or business.
3. But that's changed.
It's a different conversation I'm having.
People get that social media has changed the way business is done, dramatically.
Many of them want to know how they can get started.
4. They just don't know what “getting started” means.
And from what they say to me, some of them clearly suspect they have “missed the boat”.
5. Or they worry that they don't have the knowledge or skills to manage the process
and have too much else on their plate to make time to learn.
6. If one or more of those lines up with your thinking, then I'm here to say to you:
Yes, it is time to get started –
knowing it's smarter to do that strategically than with some hit and miss tactics.
7. And no, it is not too late
– in a very real sense, the “socializing” of business is only just getting underway (but don't relax too much, things are moving
very fast right now)
8. But there is a problem.
The problem of generic, “one size fits all” social media courses.
And I understand that what works for selling hamburgers, travel or rock shows may not work for professional services practitioners.
9. My Get the Social Edge Kickstart Program is not just another generic, “one size fits all” social media course.
It's designed specifically for professional services practitioners.
10. It deals with real issues for professionals, such as how to protect your brand and professional reputation
11. So who am I and why should you take notice of me?
12. I'm Des Walsh. I'm a Certified Social Media Strategist, a Business Coach, author and international speaker on social media.

13. I created the Get the Social Edge series of programs to provide busy professionals with access to practical social media information and
skills, free of hype and jargon.
14. What am I offering?
