Georgia Tech Stress
Our book describes stress as "any circumstances that threaten or are perceived to threaten one's
well–being and tax one's coping ability" (Weiten, 2014). Stress is not necessarily a traumatic, life
destroying event. It can be as simple a small change in one's daily schedule. People will have
multiple stresses throughout their lifetime. Some will be little and daily, but overtime these add up
and can affect you in many ways. Stress can be positive or negative and can take many forms; a few
being frustration, internal conflict, change, and pressure. All of which make almost a daily
appearance in my life (Weiten, 2014).
I face frustration on a daily basis. I have horrible commutes to both Kennesaw State and Georgia
Tech. Not only do I sit in bad traffic, but I have to pay almost forty dollars a week in...show more

I also have some internal conflicts. The decision on when to go to AFROTC physical training
sessions is specifically an avoidance–avoidance conflict. I can leave my house at 4:30 for 6 AM PT,
which means I only have an hour long drive both ways and will be home by 3PM, but I lose
nearly 4 hours of sleep. The other option is to go to the 3:30 PM PT and sleep in later, but I then
have a two and a half hour drive home during rush hour traffic, and will not be home until almost 7
PM. I have had many life changes over the last few months. I started college full time just days after
my high school graduation. I signed my contract with the Air Force, dedicating four years after
college to the branch and promising to uphold the physical, academic, and extracurricular standards
during my time leading to graduation. This means I must maintain a certain GPA, pass the semester
physical fitness exams, and uphold the ROTC training/academic standards, all while staying
involved in extracurricular activities. Lastly, I have an unholy

Georgia Tech Reflection
Although, at first, I only knew Georgia Tech because of its prestigious engineering programs after
emailing the Director of Hispanic Initiatives, Jorge Breton, my interest for Georgia Tech grew even
bigger. I decided to visit campus and follow some of its student organizations on social media. The
way in which students worked together caught my attention. Although I only saw some of its
organizations, I felt undoubtedly welcomed by the pictures posted on social media. I personally
focused on the Hispanic/Latino organizations. GT–SHPE for instance. I was intrigued by the way in
which the Hispanic/Latino community tries to keep traditions alive in school. I feel that Georgia Tech
cannot only push me academically, but it can also push me socially

Georgia Tech Aspirations
At only two years old and barely two–feet–tall, my parents handed me a violin in hopes that I would
grow up to become a prodigy. The moment I entered high school, they tried to steer me toward
their ideal career path of being a doctor. For years I followed these aspirations, blindly believing
they were my own. It wasn't until recent years that I realized that this was not the future that fit
me, and I started to develop aspirations of my own. My unbound future can't be described within
the constraints of an essay, whether it is 150 or 1500 words. Finally out of the realm of my small
town, I will be able to discover my passions and pursue them. Georgia Tech will aid me in expanding
my horizons and help me grow as a person, something I have always

Georgia Tech Motivation
During my exhaustive college research last summer, there was only one thing that garnered my
interest: the innovation program at Georgia Tech. This was the only school that provided such a
unique program which tells me two things: Tech is committed to becoming the leading technological
university and they're willing to support their students' dreams. These are important to me because I
want to be an innovator and this program will teach me everything I need to know to be one. I want
to give the world something new, creative, and beneficial. Knowing that Tech will help me fulfill
these dreams gives me that extra motivation to attain my goals. Also, knowing that they're on their
own mission gives me the inspiration to achieve success not only

Georgia Tech Case Study
Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the stepping stones to success. The primary reason I
want to attend Georgia Tech is to fulfill my goals later in life: to start a drone company.
Additionally, I am sure to find all the resources I need at Georgia Tech to become a successful
entrepreneur. Breakthroughs like a power cell that converts mechanical energy to chemical energy
which can once again be stored as electrical energy by Professor Zhong Lin Wang and his team,
assure me that I am attending a world class institution. Another innovation is one of Melody Jackson
who gave the power of communication to animals. I like innovation and I want to be a part of the
innovative community at Georgia Tech and meet the bright minds. In return, I
