A Word from Our CEO
Greetings Tech High Family and Friends,
I wanted to share some excitement that our senior class
experienced this week on their cultural trip to New York. Our
wonderful seniors had the opportunity to be on Good
Morning America briefly on Wednesday, November 4
th
. They
were part of a select group at the ABC studios for the airing
of the GMA show. They were thrilled to be on national
television with their Tech High School sign.
We are so grateful to AirTran Airways for sponsoring this
Senior Cultural Trip by flying 26 of our seniors round trip to
NY so they could have an experience of a life time. While in
NY, our students visited Ground Zero, Times Square, The
Empire State Building, Wall Street/Financial District, and
attended a Broadway play. They also took time to visit
Columbia University and New York University before
returning to Atlanta on yesterday evening. We are also very
appreciative of The Harland Charitable Foundation for their
grant that supports many cultural trips and events, like our
senior’s trip to NY, for our Tech High students.
The impact all of our supporters are having on the lives of
our students is tangible and real and we are thankful for
their thoughtfulness and generosity.
Sincerely,
Steven Walker
