1. Reflective Poetry Essay
Reflective Poetry Essay
Composing poetry is an artistic expression; subsequently it's a way of conveying everything that
needs to be conveyed and finding importance in expressions. Through poetry words are illuminated
to form a picture, express feeling and share a thought in so few words. Putting down on paper all
the emotions going through ones head is a way of re–living and remembering the overwhelming
emotions they grapple with throughout their lives. Poet Michelle Williams states that: ".... humans
have always grappled with overwhelming emotions. Throughout history we have expressed these
emotions in many ways, such as through song, music, dance, art and poetry"
This is true because putting on paper emotions such as hurt and...show more content...
This stanza returns to the solitude of the lonely wondering cloud. However, the poet has been
changed by his imaginative experience involving the daffodils and the accompanying bay waters.
Loneliness is now a peaceful solitude. William Wordsworth describes himself as alone and lonely,
detached even from nature. Wordsworth feeling of sadness emerges from this poem.
In Conclusion, poets William Wordsworth, Percy Shelley and William Blake show how poetry
displays the importance of human ability to convey emotions and say what they feel. Therefore the
quote by poet Michelle Williams is true. In poets William Wordsworth "Preface" to Lyrical ballads,
he describes poetic process as follow:
"Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feeling: it takes its origin from emotion recollected
in tranquility.
Thus through poetry the opportunity to recreate and relive the previously experienced emotion is
conveyed.

criticism – rewards and improvement; grows with the organisation * Seeking feedback is important
because it gives a worker some idea of how they are working – what they are doing well and what
could be improved. * Criticism alone makes the worker feel hopeless but constructive criticism
provides information on how the worker can overcome problems and become a better worker – it
gives them solutions and makes the situation less hopeless. * Good work deserves praise but it can
allow the worker to become complacent. It should be given with information about how the worker

Like in week 6 discussion, when it talked about rhetorical appeals. Lagos, ethos, and pathos are
three terms I have never heard before. Now, I can tell you what they are and which one a person
is using when it comes to an argument. In the world of Law, arguments are the basic
fundamentals of winning cases. You're trying to make a really good argument. So, knowing those

5. English 101 Reflective Essay
English class has never been my strong suite. I always had to work twice as hard in English then
I did in any other class. Writing paper always had me stressed and overwhelmed, I felt
discouraged in my work. l never seemed to be able to get to the level I wanted to. I would try my
hardest and paid attention in class, but when it came to writing the paper none of that seemed to
help. I think that my experience in English Composition 1 has helped gain and grow in some areas,
but I don't think that it highlights a well–written college essay. Some elements that I worked to
improving was introduction paragraphs, tone, style, and thesis statements. Throughout my
experience in English 101, I gained information on the element...show more content...
During high school, I seemed to get marked done for the tone used in my paper. I learned in this
class that tone is a very important element in writing a paper, and can help the paper flow better.
My sentences in my high school papers didn't vary in length very well then. I always had a
problem with short choppy sentences. When writing my profile essay, research easy, and
personal essay I tried to make sure I had a variety of sentence lengths. I feel I gained some
improve on this element, I know I still have issues but I have grown from where I was before.
Some papers were stronger than others and I struggled a bit more when constructing my
paragraphs. My strongest paper in tone I would feel was my Personal essay. "She wants them to
believe they can do whatever their hearts desire but they have to be willing to work for it. As a
mother, it's important to work with your kids and help them discover how they learn best. It's
important to teach your kids that there are going to be certain things that they have to be willing
to work harder at" (Profile Essay). During my essay writing process, I could fix these problems
easier in the body paragraphs and struggle a bit more with the intro paragraph. Overall I think that
the element of tone was not my best work in my

6. Reflective Sociology Essay
The last six weeks have challenged my preconceived ideas about sociology and the role that it plays
in society in the popular and social media, my values, behaviours and belief system. What I hope to
highlight throughout this reflective essay is what I have learnt and how that has shaped my new
thought process and reinforced old thought patterns. Week one I learnt about the Sociological
imagination where to quote C Wright "The sociological imagination enables us to grasp the
connection between history and biography." (Henslin et al., 2011). Upon further reflection of the
reading material in Sociology a down to earth approach there was one particular story that really
resonated with me. It was the illustration about expecting...show more content...
Week three see's the introduction of the fathers of sociology Auguste Comte, Herbert Spenser, Karl
Marx, Emile Durkheim, Max Weber, Georg Simmel. Karl Marx and Durkheim are the two that
really resonate with me, Durkheim due to his theories around the subject of suicide and how that
subject is particularly personal with me and also Karl Marx theory around class inequality.
Karl Marx believed that man's basic needs were food and shelter and the evolution of these basic
needs led to capitalism, after the industrial revolution we see there being two distinct classes of
people the workers and the capitalist and the effect that this ultimately has on social aspect of
society. Marx looked at the unequal power struggle in this theory and how that conflict would lead to
socialism and eventually communism and it was then that he co–wrote with Englels in 1948 "The
Communist Manifesto". I can really see the same picture that Marx was looking at, even in today's
society in Australia we see the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, but more evident in
third world countries where there are polar opposites in wealth and power.
This subject has actually spilled out into my conversation at different locations, talking at a bar with
a guy about the possibility that Jesus was a

7. Reflective Reflection
This reflective essay will be adopted from Rolfe, Freshwater and Jasper's (2001) reflection model.
This reflection is based on a case study that I have read and will be based on the intervention I
have chosen to treat the patient. Mr. Castello was admitted to the ward for observation after a fight
and sustaining a laceration to his right forehead from a beer bottle and extensive bruising and
scratches to his left arm. Mr. Castello had a pre–existing chest infection, Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
(DM), and asthma. Assessing, cleaning and dressing his wounds is an integral part of his treatment,
as his DM can lead to delayed wound healing and increased chance of infection (Salazar, Ennis, &
Koh, 2016). This could be successfully achieved through...show more content...
Castello about the reasoning for the intervention enabled him to understand the importance of ANTT
for his wound care to reduce infection and encouraging wound healing.
The effectiveness of this intervention came down to my ability to perform ANTT and how well I
educated to the patient on the reasoning for it. Further discussion with Mr. Castello about what is
actually achieved through ANTT may have helped with his long–term understanding of the
importance of this intervention. If I had explained further that ANTT not only cleanses the area of
the wound removing micro–organisms to reduce the risk of HCAI but also debris from the wound
ensuring the best environment possible for the wound to heal (Berman et al., 2015). Additionally, I
could have clarified to him the importance of him maintain a dry and clean wound as this makes it
an unappealing environment for microorganisms Lee & Bishop (2013) state that they flourish in
warm and damp environments like an untreated wound. I feel that the intervention of ANTT was an
effective method to promote wound healing, reduced the risk of HCAI and help to minimise Mr.
Castello's length of stay in hospital. Berman et al. (2015) state that HCAIs have a large cost to both
the facility and person affected and the correct use of ANTT will reduce the risk of acquiring an
HCAI. Though further education will always benefit the patient in the long–term especially given in
Mr. Castello's

The three chosen goals for year 2 of my nursing programme were specific, measurable, attainable,
realistic and timely (S.M.A.R.T).
Goal one, was set out to help me become competent in critically appraising evidence and literature,
which supports the learning skills of being able to produce academic work at level 5 standards.
This goal required gaining understanding and knowledge of critical appraisal, as well as thoroughly
comprehending the elements of critical appraisal and correctly identifying and using tool,
frameworks and guidelines to critically appraise evidence and literature. The significance of
achieving this goal was to help me complete year 2 modules of understanding evidence–based
nursing and examining health and social care needs of vulnerable adults and achieving an overall
good grade in both modules.
What I generally thought was, for the understanding evidence based nursing essay I did not
perform well with my critical appraisal, as most of my time was spent on formulating a PICO
question and did not have sufficient time to write a powerful essay. However results showed that I
gained an overall 55% mark, and comments that were given by the moderator were as follows
