POSTER A conventional horror poster has low key, unnatural lighting, menacing red title text, and a discomforting image of the antagonist, with the long shot being slightly low angle, showcasing the isolated woods, and sinister trees. In order to convey the horror genre in our products we will have to include iconography similar to that of convention. This means we should consider using un – natural lighting, a blue filter and de-saturated colour. It would also be sensible to use a red title that has a menacing font, since this will clarify what genre our film would be. An image of isolation is also conventional, which I found out when doing my textual analysis, so this is sensible to consider. It is also conventional for a horror poster to be relatively minimalistic, this is important as we should not add too much to our poster, since it could make it look unprofessional.

MAGAZINE COVER Similar to the poster the magazine cover should include the title in red with a menacing font, and an image of the protagonist or antagonist of the film which can easily be related to the horror genre. This can be done by de-saturating the image and using low key lighting, and perhaps include blood. To continue with the minimalistic theme verified while reviewing the poster, this should be maintained for the magazine cover, and there should only be one picture, and a small amount of text promoting the contents of the magazine.
