WHAT´S GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?
AI refers to machines that can simulate human intelligence,
like learning and problem-solving. Generative AI, a specific
branch of AI, takes it a step further. It can not only
understand information but also use it to create entirely new
things, like text, images, videos, audios or even music.
• It´s like having an AI artist or writer at your disposal. It
allows you to input various prompts and receive new content
in response: output. Think of it as a magical tool that can
create fresh text, images, videos, sounds, code, 3D designs,
and more.

WHAT GENERATIVE AI CAN AND CANNOT DO
 Can:
o Generate creative text formats, like poems, code, scripts,
musical pieces, email, letters, etc.
o Create realistic images and videos.
o Translate languages.
o Answer your questions in an informative way.
 Cannot:
o Replace human creativity, judgment, and common sense.
o Understand the real world or the meaning behind information.
o Feel emotions or have consciousness.
o Bias and toxicity /hallucinations /knowledge cutoffs

2 ESSENTIAL TERMS TO UNDERSTAND GENERATIVE AI
Prompts: Specific instructions given to the generative AI
model to guide its creative process. Imagine giving a
recipe to a chef, but instead of ingredients, you give
instructions for generating text, images… (imput)
Large Language Models (LLMs): These are the secret
sauce! LLMs are like super-smart language experts. A
system that has learned from tons of existing texts and
documents available online. When you give them a
prompt, they use their knowledge to generate new
content just by listening to your cues.

WHICH TASKS CAN GENERATIVE IA DO?
GenAI can do: tasks that any fresh college graduate can do
AI is a general-purpose technology because it is used for many
different tasks:
• Writing Web-based: ChatGPT, Bard, Bing
• Reading Software-based: emails, document
• Chatting search

 Writing: Generate different creative text
