24. Protocol Gehoorei
• Met het u bezorgde gehoorei kan het gehoor van een volwassene globaal gescreend
worden. De output van het gehoorei is 40dB. De gebruikte frequenties: 500 Hz, 1000
Hz, 2000 Hz en 4000 Hz.
• Gebruik het gehoorei in een stille kamer.
• Zet de schakelaar op ON. Na 15 seconden is het gehoorei operationeel.
• Druk op de 500 Hz-knop.
• Laat de patiënt het gehoorei tegen het oor houden en laat hem aangeven of de tonen
hoorbaar zijn.
• Herhaal voor de andere frequenties, en herhaal daarna voor het andere oor.
• Vervolledig de test telkens met het uitvoeren van een otoscopie.
25. Protocol Fluistertest
• Alvorens de fluistertest uit te voeren dient men gebruik te maken van de otoscopie om anatomische
afwijkingen te detecteren. (bv Cerumen prop)
• De examinator staat een armlengte (0,6m) achter de patiënt, die men laat zitten.
• De examinator fluistert een combinatie van letters en cijfers (bv. 4-K-2) en vraagt de patiënt deze te
herhalen.
• De examinator dient alvorens de combinatie te fluisteren, rustig uit te ademen, om een zo stille stem
als mogelijk te produceren.
• Indien de patiënt de combinatie correct herhaalt, wordt het gehoor als normaal beschouwd. Indien de
patiënt de combinatie incorrect herhaalt, dient de test herhaald te worden met een andere combinatie
van letters en cijfers.
• De patiënt is geslaagd voor de screeningstest indien hij minstens 3 van de 6 letters of cijfers correct
herhaalt.
• De examinator dient zich steeds achter de patiënt te positioneren om liplezen te voorkomen.
• Elk oor wordt afzonderlijk getest, startend met het “beste” oor. Men dient het oor dat men op dat
moment niet test zachtjes af te sluiten door met de vinger een cirkelende beweging te maken op de
tragus.
• Het andere oor wordt getest met een andere cijfer - en lettercombinatie dan het reeds geteste oor.
26. Protocol Vingerwrijftest
• Doe de test in een stille kamer.
• Ga voor de patiënt staan (op ongeveer 15cm afstand) en vraag de ogen te
sluiten.
• Strek de armen en wrijf met droge hand zo hard mogelijk in de vingers.
• Vraag de patiënt om zijn hand op te steken aan de kant waar hij (het geluid
hoort.
• Doe dit beurtelings bij het linker en het rechter oor
• Herhaal deze test 3 maal (beurtelings drie maal links en drie maal rechts)
• De test is negatief als de patiënt het vingerwijven kan horen aan beide kanten.
• Vervolledig de test telkens met het uitvoeren van een otoscopie
