Assisted the director of human resources in the administration of benefits, payroll, and other human resource
activities for 6,500 employees spread across a diverse geographical area, and the management of over $1 million in
assets. Led a team that processed over 3,700 travel claims with payments of over $2.7 million, 65 contract
extensions, and 1,000 personnel evaluations. Interfaced with senior US government leadership to develop
requirements and to evaluate effectiveness in meeting Transition Force developed end states. Delivered visionary
leadership that identified inefficiencies leading to a 16% decrease in manpower required and increased the
operational efficiency of theater logistics by 50%, resulting in a cost savings of $1.2 million and led to receiving my
Bronze Star and an early promotion recommendation 3 years ahead of my peers.

in the expansion of capability and security.
Aviation Maintenance Officer / Assistant Officer-In-Charge, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron
TWO FIVE (HSC-25), Agana, Guam (February 2006 - September 2008)
Managed over $200 million in assets and led a department of 340 maintenance experts, implementing cost wise
readiness that exceeded leadership goals by 6.5%, saving over $150,000, and reducing audit process time by 50%.
These actions led to the squadron receiving the 2008 Sikorsky Aircraft Maintenance Excellence Award and led to
receiving my 2nd Navy Commendation medal, ranking #1 of 8 Department Heads and early promotion
recommendation 2 years ahead of peers.
2. Shipboard Safety Officer, USS PELELIU (LHA 5), San Diego, CA (May 2004 - January 2006)
Led a department of 30 safety managers through the program management and regulatory compliance enforcement
of the ship's safety efforts during numerous maintenance availabilities which included over 1,000 contractors and
1,200 crew members safely completing over 50,000 man hours of industrial work with minimal minor mishaps and
zero fatalities. Reviewed mishap statistics from hazard and inspection reports, safety or health related messages
from Navy Safety Center, and integrated lessons learned resulting in a shipboard mishap reduction rate in excess of
50%. Established mishap prevention goals and plans. Reviewed compliance with operational risk management
implementation in all applicable shipboard related operations and evolutions, identifying areas for improvement in
safety policies and training. The positive results influenced senior leadership to support increased safety efforts and
adopt new safety measures. Mentorship led to 100% retention within Safety Department.
