Baker's Manzanita is a woody shrub or small tree native to northern California coasts. It has oval, gray-green leaves and produces pink flowers in late winter/early spring. The shrub has an attractive, architectural shape and its peeling bark and fruit attract birds and hummingbirds. Baker's Manzanita thrives in full sun to part shade with well-draining soil and occasional summer watering once established. It is drought tolerant and makes a good habitat plant or substitute for non-native shrubs in gardens.
