This document provides information about galaxies and theories of the origin of the universe. It begins with introductions from Celestial and Cosmos who are interested in astronomy and space travel. It then defines a galaxy as a large collection of stars, gas and dust held together by gravity. It provides examples of spiral galaxies like the Milky Way and Andromeda, and notes that Andromeda is approaching the Milky Way. The document also describes elliptical, lenticular, irregular and peculiar galaxies. Finally, it summarizes the Big Bang theory that the universe began as a single point and has been expanding ever since, and the steady state theory that the universe is always expanding but maintaining a constant density through continuous creation of new stars.
A lecture I'd given on spiral galaxies, barred spirals, mass of galaxies, Sgr A, Elliptical galaxies, standard candles, dark matter, composition of the universe, back in my university days.
You probably need to download the file for the animations to work.
It presents about normal galaxy and how it differs to other type of galaxy. The types of galaxies are also presented like spiral galaxies, barred spiral, ellipticals, lenticulars and irregular galaxies with examples and pictures for further explanation.

• There are three kinds of card catalog – the title card, the author card and the subject card.
• The title card presents the title of each book on the first line of the card.
• The author card lists each book by the author’s last name.
• The subject card lists each book of non – fiction by the name of its subject.
• The call helps us find any book in the library. It is preset in all three card catalogs.
The presentation discusses a definition of cataloging, ISBD, AACR2 and the future of cataloging, with acronyms like FRBR and RDA and what they might mean for school libraries.

The Stars And The Galaxies In The Universe 2 Lguest2dc5cb
This powerpoint slidesare from form 3 sallabus and it is about stars and galaxies. Students are allowed to view and upload their ideas of stars and galaxies.
This slideshow explains how scientists measured the size of the universe and its age, It is a miracle that this can even possible to do. The slide show also explain the discovery of the Redshift and the expanding universe. The evolution, the history and the major structure of our universe. It is only within our lifetime, these sorts of question about our origin was asked.
Cosmic dinosaurs globular clusters and their fate wonderdome
If you look at the night sky with a telescope, you will notice fuzzy patches among the stars. Some of them are shapeless blobs, others are round. These are star clusters, the giant groups of stars held together by gravity.
How to Split Bills in the Odoo 17 POS ModuleCeline George
Bills have a main role in point of sale procedure. It will help to track sales, handling payments and giving receipts to customers. Bill splitting also has an important role in POS. For example, If some friends come together for dinner and if they want to divide the bill then it is possible by POS bill splitting. This slide will show how to split bills in odoo 17 POS.

Students, digital devices and success - Andreas Schleicher - 27 May 2024..pptxEduSkills OECD
Andreas Schleicher presents at the OECD webinar ‘Digital devices in schools: detrimental distraction or secret to success?’ on 27 May 2024. The presentation was based on findings from PISA 2022 results and the webinar helped launch the PISA in Focus ‘Managing screen time: How to protect and equip students against distraction’ https://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/education/managing-screen-time_7c225af4-en and the OECD Education Policy Perspective ‘Students, digital devices and success’ can be found here - https://oe.cd/il/5yV

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Instructions for Submissions thorugh G- Classroom.pptxJheel Barad
This presentation provides a briefing on how to upload submissions and documents in Google Classroom. It was prepared as part of an orientation for new Sainik School in-service teacher trainees. As a training officer, my goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and proficient with this essential tool for managing assignments and fostering student engagement.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
5. GALAXY
- any large collection of stars that can be recognized as a distinct
physical entity
- is an enormous collection of gas, dust and billions of stars held
together by gravity.
- The closest spiral galaxy is Andromeda, a galaxy much like our
own Milky Way. It is 2.2 million light years away from us.
Andromeda is approaching our galaxy at a rate of 670,000 miles
per hour (1,078,260 kph). Five billion years from now it will
probably collide with our Milky Way galaxy.
- Galaxies are not generally found alone ; instead they are found
in clusters , and those clusters also form further group called
“super clusters”.
7. WooAHH!! Andromeda Galaxy is really a giant
galaxy!!! It is 160,000 light years in diameter much
larger than our own galaxy.
8. Edwin Hubble discovered Andromeda,
allowing him to place it at more than a million
light years – much further than the most
distant reaches of the Milky Way.
9. OTHER GALAXIES
Hey Kids!! Do you want to explore more
the universe?
Me and Cosmos will take you to the
other kinds of galaxies!!! Come on get

15. Theories about the
Origin of The
Universe
Did you
enjoy?
Now, we are going to talk
about the Theories…. Get

16. Big Bang Theory
- is the prevailing cosmological model for the birth of the
universe. It states that at some moment all of space was
contained in a single point from which the Universe has been
expanding ever since. Modern measurements place this
moment at approximately 13.8 billion years ago, which is thus
considered the age of the universe.
17. The Steady State
Theory
The steady-state theory is a view that the universe is always
expanding but maintaining a constant average density, matter
being continuously created to form new stars and galaxies at
the same rate that old ones become unobservable as a
consequence of their increasing distance and velocity of
recession.
