The study investigates sedimentation rates and total suspended solids (TSS) in the Melombo area, Salurang Village, highlighting the effects of human activities, particularly illegal gold mining, on the estuarine ecosystem. Three stations were monitored over eight months, revealing significant sedimentation with TSS levels exceeding seawater quality standards, suggesting ecological risks. The findings emphasize the need for sustainable management practices to protect this vulnerable area and its marine resources.
